Thank you for reviewing Problemista! It’s my fav 2024 release so far and it seems like it has gotten barely any recognition.
Wish we'd caught up with it sooner!
I agree
One of my favorites of the year so far, an audacious and auspicious debut
Glad you saw it too!
I was so lucky to catch this one in the theaters. What a debut! I was surprised how much I laughed.
It's SO funny in such an absurd way. Glad you saw it!
I loved this movie! Funny, charming, and touching. Some clear first feature elements, but definitely worth a watch. Sad it didn't get a lot of attention.
Really enjoyed this film. I am glad I caught it in the theater.
I don't think that Tilda Swinton has ever given a bad performance in my opinion.
Very true, James! This must have been fun in the theater.
This sounds really good!
Review choices like this are why i love y’all lol
Thank you for being here! What did you think of the film?
Christy saying “Alejandro” was absolutely perfect
*wonderful
Love this movie! Funny, entertaining and quite touching at the end👍
Tilda Swinton is ‘High Priestess Karen ‘, is the word you’re looking for ! (Crazy is the derivative 🤣)
Finally you guys reviewed it! Oh, I loved this movie so much! So funny, quirky and heartwarming. I couldn't stop laughing at and rooting for the protagonist.
Glad you enjoyed it too!
I thought this was so fantastic and hilarious. I loved it from beginning to end. Thank you!
So glad!
I know you didn't review it on the channel, but did either of you ever catch landscape with invisible hand?
There’s a visual gag in this involving a high heel that had me cackling
Glad you saw it!
I've been looking forward to streaming this one! Thanks!
Alejandro is the ‘Karen’ whisperer hahaha ! I love this movie ❤❤ Torres is genius
As you were describing this I could not help but think of "T/ Devil Wears Prada", which I enjoy very much. Also I see RZA as a co-star, Wu-Tang forever!! If ya know ya know!!
She's like a more manic Miranda Priestley.
Wu-Tang is for the children.
I liked it too. 7/10.
Whenever a movie fan asks me what to do in NYC that’s off the beaten track I say take the Roosevelt Tram (it’s free - probably already have a unlimited metropass, it takes no time and the views are great) at night and then go to Serendipity’s.
No one listens to me. They all want the standard cliche stuff. Maybe the tram in this movie might be a reference point.
I loved this movie so much!
Excited to check this out! Wondering if you guys are planning to catch up on Monkey Man, which I thought was terrific!
Alonso did an out-of -the-theater but that may be it at this point. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I love everything Julio Torres makes. I’m finally watching the final season of Los Espookys and I’m so sad.
Oh wow! Have you seen this movie yet?
@@BreakfastAllDay Yes! I saw it about a month ago and really liked it. Happy to see you both did as well.
I really enjoyed this too, quirky and sweet.
So glad you were able to check it out!
Whimsy makes the world go 'round.
Just FYI, Julio Torres is 37
Good to know, thank you!
I do love whimsy, and I am an immigrant, creative and introvert. Maybe a bit too targeted to me?
You'll have to let us know!
Yeah, I don't know.
I'm a designer, an immigrant, and overall this movie felt very reflective of my experience.
However, I did not care for this movie. As you mention, it is endlessly quaint and whimsical. In ways that often undermined the more interesting aspects of the movie, and also obscured the frankly non existent characterization of Alejandro.
For what its worth, it ended up reminding me a lot of AMELIE. More than anything from Gondry. So if you like that movie, you may find this appealing.
Sadly beyond its quirkiness, to me it felt very flat.
Sorry to hear that, thanks for sharing your experience Bernardo!
Love his small role in Together Together.
This is an interesting story. Some good observations , but Tilda Swinton’s Elizabeth is kind of unlikeable.
he saw Everything Everywhere All At Once and did it, its too underhwhelming and too long
I like Tilda’s Swinton character was interesting but overall I did not like this film. 🫠😜
i didnt care for it either
