Hi, Great content and relevant commentary. If you are straffing ships, how about straffing with an anti-shipping Bristol Beaufighter; armed with machine guns, cannons and rockets. Just a suggestion. I'm loving everything you post up. 😂
Every (not crap) plane is effective if you fly it in a way that plays to it's strengths. The only problem with that is that in warfare the other side always gets to vote as well. And if they vote "correctly" their mission will be to never ever allow you to fly in a way that plays into your strengths.

You swine, that could have been my grand father on one of those ships 😀 great video and the D9 has to be my favorate axis fighter. When something looks right it probably is and the D9 certainly looked right.
On long nose planes try starting off a bit high and slipping while looking out the side of the windshield. If you're fast you can maintain runway visual contact by doing wheel landings. Nice flying.
I think what has exploded on that ship you were strafing was the ammunition magazine for some kind of a deck gun or possibly some explosive cargo. There's no way 20mm rounds could penetrate deep enough through decks and bulkheads etc to cause a boiler explosion
The Dora D9 and the TA-152 were high altitude fighters, technically like the J2M3 Raiden on the Japanese side. Intended to intercept bombers mainly. I want to see you fly the MiG-3.

It's a gorgeous warbird, the Dora, yet it was only considered an interim! Interesting that it came about because of the comprehensive failure of the Me 309 programme and Tank coming up with a Jumo 213 lash-up solution for the 190 airframe.
