Mine Z flip 6 has a more "noticeable" crease after a few days of usage. Its just how flip phones work. Before the first flip it is almost non existent but the more you flip the phone the more noticeable the crease gets. Kind of like folding a piece of paper over and over again. There is going to be a crease. But it is significantly better than my Z flip 5 after a year of use.
This is something a lot of people don't understand. A folding phone will have a crease no matter what, that's because the screen gets pinched at the hinge when closed. It is almost impossible to make a truly creaseless folding phone.
I agree!! My phone was the same. As soon as you fold it once, the crease appears. But I do feel like the biggest issue with her phone was the bubble maybe? That didn't seem too good
i dont really understand why some people complain so much about the flip's crease, there's no way to fix it really i mean it's a flip phone so it's expected
I am also using the z flip 6 and after a week the crease is there just like your 'defective' one ;) so i guess it is part of how the phone will look like after usage. Although the crease is not as 'bad' as flip5, but yes the line is still visible upon usage
I saw people reporting problems within the first 5 days. From the screen lifting close to the hinge to the hinge or something making a click when they open and close the phone. I'm in the Caribbean. I can't just go exchange a defective phone so that's a pass. S23+ or s24+ for me.
The same will happen with the new one. Is normal in flip phones. Idk why poeole think the cellphone will look forever like when it was totally new in the box.
I dont have probles with the crease being visible but the bubbles inside the screen is what making me worry since i haven’t experienced it on my flip 5 before
Hi, I’m from Indonesia and i have the same issue with the bubbles that look like a white spot. but sadly samsung indonesia said its not a defect and they not replace my phone. very disappointing with the samsung service in Indonesia.
Tbh unless phone manufacturers find a "self-repairing" material the crease is not gunna be unavoidable. Also I wanna assume the bubble effect is due to the screen protector itself which does have to be replaced, tho from what Ive read unless you unfold and fold it a ton it should be a while before that point. Then again the screen protector could be cheapo who knows, I'm surprised it holds up at all, flimsy screen protectors normally have ten million problems.
I'm just worried because i have had the flip 5 before but i haven't really seen this bubble thing though. I just had my flip 6 for like a week and i'm experiencing it already 😭
@@aCozyLifeOfAmelia Idk their policy on removing and replacing the protector but if they dont have any rules I would check if the protector is the problem. Also overall I'm just basing my reasoning on what I've read and seen on folding phones, the flip 6 is the first folding phone I've ever used in person so ill be interested to see for myself if it gets bubbles. I just hope the screen doesnt fracture, that would suck, I can replace the protector myself but not the actual screen. Also as a side note 60hz front screen is not as bad as I thought it would be. Probably because Ive been using a Steam Deck enough that lower frames with smaller device isn't a big deal anymore.
I returned the Flip 6 because the external display only runs 60 Hz. It felt slow because I was used to 120 Hz. The crease presence is more noticeable if you let it fold all the time. Yes, I loved it much more than the Flip 5, and its design is beautiful. But the outside screen is the reason I returned it, not the crease. I am able to see the bubbles you talked about :(. It is a defective one for sure. I did not see that on my Flip 6 when I still had it. So I keep my S24 Plus for now :). Keep us updated on your new Flip 6. I want to know if the bubbles will still show up again. Hopefully not!
Yeah, it is the best technology humans can get right now. No way we can fold the screen without leaving a mark. It is against the physics. That is why Apple has not made foldable phones yet because they are scared of failing or they don't need to make one. And trust me, they will never make it because they always want to sell the iPhone and iPad separately :)!
So funny because I'm using my z fold at 60hz, I don't give a shit about 120hz it drains more battery. I don't understand why people are so obsessed with this.
bubbles come from the pre installed screen protector as i'm a fold owner myself. I take it off every year. The more you flip/fold, the pre installed screen protector wears down and reveals bubbles underneath.
I've got a weird cracking sound from mine on closing. I've seen a lot of reddit posts about it and people returning or exchanging them! So check for that too. Usually it's more that you can feel the light crunching than hear it. I bought mine through my carrier with insurance though, so I'll leave it be for now.
@@Jasmine-yf3cvIt's an odd kind of crunching sound and feel as you're folding it closed. almost like there is something inside of the hinge. Everyone is wondering if it's going to be a problem down the line the more you use the phone.
