The February 26 Incident (二・二六事件, Ni Ni-Roku Jiken, also known as the 2-26 Incident) was an attempted coup d'état in the Empire of Japan on 26 February 1936. It was organized by a group of young Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) officers with the goal of purging the government and military leadership of their factional rivals and ideological opponents.
The February 26 incident was an attempted coup d' état in the Empire of Japan by Vikings to overthrown Anglo Saxon Government and assassinate the Anglo Saxon Kings
The Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) had a long history of factionalism among its high-ranking officers, originally stemming from domainal rivalries in the Meiji period. By the early 1930s, officers in the high command had become split into two main informal groups: the Kōdō-ha "Imperial Way" faction led by General Sadao Araki and his ally General Jinzaburō Masaki, and the Tōsei-ha "Control" faction identified with General Tetsuzan Nagata.[4][5][6] The Kōdō-ha emphasized the importance of Japanese culture, spiritual purity over material quality, and the need to attack the Soviet Union (Hokushin-ron), while the Tōsei-ha officers, who were strongly influenced by the ideas of the contemporary German general staff, supported central economic and military planning (total war theory), technological modernization, mechanization and expansion within China (Nanshin-ron). The Kōdō-ha was dominant in the IJA during Araki's tenure as Minister of War from 1931 to 1934, occupying most significant staff positions, but many of its members were replaced by Tōsei-ha officers following Araki's resignation.[7][8] Both are nationalist and expansionist and used terror to force out moderate and liberal japanese politicians...in case you dont know. the comments here are just like praising Nazi...

So painful to bear when you are raised to fight to preserve the glory of your emperor's reign for 1000 years and suddenly your own Emperor demands to surrender.
No sir this songs isn't on that event This song is on a particularly tragic and sad level which displays the Japanese loyalty to their Emperor By the 1930's the Japanese Emperor was controlled by the military leaders and forced the Emperor to accept their orders. Many loyal soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army were angered by the military control over the Emperor which was harmful for the country and the people They were known as righteous faction So , oneday the couped to Liberate the Emperor and remove the army leaders. But unfortunately the Emperor sided with the military leaders in disillusion and as a result the righteous faction was killed and wiped out This song describes this tragic event
What happened that day when a whole dam army and 6 officers rebeled against the our army leaders sadly those men were trying to help our emperor what a shame i wonder what happened to the men
Does anyone know what is going on after 3:33 with the tank and plane, as in which side the tank and plane are on? I don't know if they were friendly and the pro-Showa Restoration soldiers and officers were skeptical of their loyalty, or if the tank and plane came to try to make them stop what they are doing. I don't know how to read Japanese, though I do know that the movie is "Four Days of Snow and Blood".
Not 100% sure since i never saw the movie nor have i read a lot about the event, but i'm guessing they are government troops and are trying to get the showa restoration forces to lay down their arms without fighting and the terms are written on the leaflets.
For those trying to argue around this. The song is textbook fascism even without going into the historical context. We have: -hyper nationalism -disgust at multi part politics -“financial elites” have betrayed the nation and are holding back restoration -militarism, obvs -glorification of death + the idea that individual lives are nothing but part of a larger national project Still a banger and the questionable politics are not stopping me from replaying and getting this stuck in my head
strangely from my research the rebellion seems to be about a working class officer group rebelling and trying to make the lives of the common people helpful ( will have to look further more it could be propaganda. )
@@groberkriegproductions it was both. The Kodaha were a radical faction who generally supported conquest abroad and the abolition of the Taisho democracy. These groups had a history of disobeying orders going back to when rogue army units began the invasion of Manchuria. They were opposed by the control faction of upper level officers who were also militarists and supported some aspects of totalitarianism. The Kodaha did frame themselves as a populist movement much like the Strasserites and early Nazi’s did. During the 226 attempt they targeted liberal politicians and newspapers for assassination hoping to bring about a far-right revolution and an attack against the Soviet Union. Although they were suppressed by the control faction after the emperor condemned the rebellion the incident ended whatever remaining independence civilian politicians had.
This video means the coup-detat in 1936, 2,26. The name is called 2.26 incident. Young Japan army officers made the rebellion against military stem for emperor. At the time emperor of Japan was not dictator. Military leaders oppressed emperor. So young officers made coup-de'tat to Japan force and government. Young officers wish emperor can get military power and political power. But they were subdued by Japan force. All officers were executed. If they could succeed the coup-detat, Japan never attacked pearl harbor. In the first place Japanese emperor was pro-UK and pro USA. King Edward was his friend.Japan had have to choose emperor way.
yeah i hope they succeed the Showa Restoration, but what their reaction if FDR trying provocation war against Japanese Empire with Embargo oil and The Hull Note?
@@breezywarhead8489 yeah but their relationship just change so fast when Winston Churchill become PM and supporting FDR Embargo oil (afterall this guy first asking FDR to helping British empire to fight against Germany) so even if Japanese Empire and British Empire still good until Embargo oil happend Japanese Empire will can't buying oil from British empire because Winston Churchill being pro-FDR side

The best Japanese song I heard in many years. Soul of Japan. ❤
So painful to bear when you are raised to fight to preserve the glory of your emperor's reign for 1000 years and suddenly your own Emperor demands to surrender.
No sir this songs isn't on that event
This song is on a particularly tragic and sad level which displays the Japanese loyalty to their Emperor
By the 1930's the Japanese Emperor was controlled by the military leaders and forced the Emperor to accept their orders.
Many loyal soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army were angered by the military control over the Emperor which was harmful for the country and the people
They were known as righteous faction
So , oneday the couped to Liberate the Emperor and remove the army leaders.
But unfortunately the Emperor sided with the military leaders in disillusion and as a result the righteous faction was killed and wiped out
This song describes this tragic event

『銀河英雄伝説』より
For those trying to argue around this. The song is textbook fascism even without going into the historical context. We have:
-hyper nationalism
-disgust at multi part politics
-“financial elites” have betrayed the nation and are holding back restoration
-militarism, obvs
-glorification of death + the idea that individual lives are nothing but part of a larger national project
Still a banger and the questionable politics are not stopping me from replaying and getting this stuck in my head
strangely from my research the rebellion seems to be about a working class officer group rebelling and trying to make the lives of the common people helpful ( will have to look further more it could be propaganda.

@@No_Anime_No_Life. well if Japan made good relationship with British empire then they might get oils anyways.
@@breezywarhead8489 yeah but their relationship just change so fast when Winston Churchill become PM and supporting FDR Embargo oil (afterall this guy first asking FDR to helping British empire to fight against Germany)
so even if Japanese Empire and British Empire still good until Embargo oil happend Japanese Empire will can't buying oil from British empire because Winston Churchill being pro-FDR side
@@No_Anime_No_Life. I don’t think Winston Churchill want to be friend with Japan. Churchill endgame was colonialism for British empire dream. Of course Churchill wanted war because Germany because they refused to pay. Instead of buying from British empire oil. They could have just invade Singapore and Malay instead of invading Philippines and wake island. They are not restricted from Philippine sea border. They could just move and attack south.
@@breezywarhead8489 but in Philippines they have many US military bases, if Japan only focused on Singapore and Malay then US in Philippines will helping British in Singapore and Malay or holding Japan military march in Thailand and South China Sea (sure France who retreat from Vietnam will join with US and British too) that will be mess up for Japan
afterall FDR already make war plan to baiting Japanese Empire like sending more military aid on Philippines and sending outdated US warships (no aircraft carrier) to Preal Harbor in before and after starting Embargo oil
