Omg I love that America has pets their so cute! do some other countries have pets too? for my AU some have pets and i just made them have their own national animal so for my America he has a big majestic bald eagle that he got from a bird sanctuary and raised it as a baby bird (he got it while it was still in the egg). America name his eagle king too, and likes to walk with it on his shoulder around the white house which always gets the staff looking at him.

America owning pets was for a sort of dual headcanon that the USSR also had a cat and a dog, (a russian blue cat named Yuri after the first man in space, and a mutt named Laika after the first dog). Because I'm obsessed with their parallels. I think that Japan would definitely have a black cat (or multiple cats!) due to the prominence of cats in japanese culture. Australia would probably own some pretty exotic pets too, and I could see Finland owning a husky. again I don't really have anything as specific as USA & USSR yet X33

For ships, I'm partial to RusAme and AmeriPan(america/japan). Can you tell who my favorite country is? Anyway, something I'm super curious about is how the modern countries deal with technology! Like, who is the most technologically fluent and who couldn't turn on a phone if their life depended on it? Also, I'm not sure if you've mentioned this before, but are humans aware of their existence? Or is it like a government secret? Sorry for the long comment! I'm just really interested in your AU :)

I would say that the most technologically fluent is Japan (followed by America, Russia, and China since they have money to spend on those resources). Of course, to a degree they are all good with technology, but the least of which would probably be Turkey and Australia, because they like to focus on more hands-on things. As for whether the average person knows about them, yes, they do. But each country handles their citizens in a different way, so not all of them are like celebrities. For example, America used to be a popular talkshow host, but Belarus just lives their life like any other citizen (albeit with important governmental status). dont be sorry about commenting long, I love to talk X33 it makes me happy that you appreciate it enough to ask so many questions!!

I imagine people hate it because of the bombing, but personally I love it because modern American and Japanese citizens love the other's culture and I just think that's super cute and sweet. America being a talkshow host is killing me, he's weirdly perfect for the role and I can't unsee it now. I also like to imagine the countries have multiple group chats and one huge one, so when something goes down in the big group chat everyone goes off to their little group chats to gossip about it lmao. Fun fact: did you know that Japan gifted the U.S. hundreds of cherry blossom seeds?? now there is like thousands on the east coast.. there were even some in my childhood elementary school. pretty silly,, i put a cherry blossom broche on America's suit for that very reason :3 Im glad you liked the talkshow host headcanon.. I would imagine it had gotten popular because * countryhumans * making shows was novel to their citizens (like, imagine the president making a show?), and then gained more popularity because of how naturally insane(/pos) America is.
