Castle-3: Friston.
Midnight: Any Lord.
Sussurro: Any Medic.
Cardigan: Any Defender.
Spot: Any Guardian Defender.
Kroos: Any Marksman Sniper.
Dobermann: Any Instructor or Lord.
Thorns: S3 M3. Any Lord or Liberator.
Mousse: S1 L7: Any Arts Guard or high rarity Guard.
Perfumer: S1 L7. Any Multi-Target Medic. E2 recommended.

Could I theoretically replace Kroos with dorothy and use her traps to keep the furnaces active?

If you can, use horn. Easily floors all the tougher guys w/o the sacrifice

In Normal mode, SilverAsh E2 lv45 M3 worked well for me to replace Mousse.
