Comcast Emergency Alert System - Required Weekly Test (February 21, 2006)

From my personal collection (Tape #1219). This weekly test was recorded in the Twin Cities area from an old Comcast cable box using SARA firmware in February of 2006. Interestingly, the audio from this activation comes not from Comcast but rather WCCO-AM. I wasn't sure if I should label this a WCCO test or one from Comcast, but given you're all here for the cable box's header message, I'm labeling this a Comcast activation. Recorded from KTCA-TV during an overnight television screensaver they appear to have aired.

Also what's really strange about the one portion of the recording is that you can hear tornado sirens doing a monthly test in the background.

A lot of these older Comcast and Motorola boxes suffered from compression issues when sending out audio of EAS activations.
