This was from 2003. It wasn't "the golden age" - top gear was barely even established. James May wasn't even a permanent host, he was on a test contract.

For me, even the first season of CHM Top Gear is the golden age. I liked to watch it until Season 13. But after that, I looked elsewhere.
Jodie is lovely! I've met her a few times because of my work and she's such a people person. Nice seeing her on Top Gear! Awesome show!

Yeah I’ve always got that impression. When she first appeared as a supermodel, I thought here we go another dumb, stuck up boring beauty. Glad I was so wrong. Despite being a rich girl and all that fame, she always comes across really down to earth, friendly, funny and with a great personality. Great driver too and u can tell she really loves cars
Jodie is amazing! A proper petrol-head and she races cars all over the world PLUS she is pals with Brian Johnson (ACDC singer who is another racer and petrol-head). Just brilliant!!!
3:51 I love how Jodie specced her Maserati 4200GT Spyder with a proper manual gearbox. That is a total rarity now in 2022.

In those days of Top Gear at its peak it was a huge honor to be on top of the fastest lap board.
All kinds of celebrities pulled stunts and strings to get on the show.
Simon Cowell famously guarded his top spot at one point.
Sure would have loved to see how quick I could've lapped.

When I first saw this I was like is that? And yes it is, I just recently discovered her channel, it's great.

This first aired on the 6th July 2003, and the very next weekend the Goodwood Festival of Speed took place. JK brought his black Ferrari Enzo along, and sportingly parked it in the grounds for everyone to take a look at (the FoS being the kind of event where that's perfectly OK). The weather was warm and dusty, and soon the car had a layer of dust on it, and someone had written in the dust on bonnet with their finger, "Jodie was quicker"!
Clarkson did mention that in the news section.
@@FAT8893 I was at the F.o.S. myself, and there were a lot of people pointing at JK's car laughing when they saw it. So I'm not surprised that made it back to Top Gear's news segment.
BTW if you ever get a chance to go to the Festival of Speed, it's highly recommended (if you haven't already been). It's one of the best, friendliest motoring events anywhere. There's not many places you can chat to a Ferrari F1 mechanic and someone with a McLaren F1 (e.g. Nick Mason of Pink Floyd fame) all in the same day.
This was a really entertaining interview
Jodie drove in the golden era of the Gumball, in Tony Hawk's Viper :D she manhandled the car like nothing and plus points for driving left hand drive, a manual and of course a Viper, not a very easy car to drive.
I'm happy to remember the Golden Years of TG.

You could tell the Stig liked Jodi because he went on Maximum Attack, just for her XD

Her reach is insane
Her reach (fingertip to fingertip) is her height - 6’ 2”.
Jodie just said in her own channel, Kidd in a sweet shop, that her love of driving really fast cars started with this appearance on Top Gear.
On this episode, she advised she had been on multiple car rallies and drives her Maserati at the track... so that doesn't make sense.

jeremy is great he can get a great interview out of anybody from anywhere doing anything, provided they drive some sort of motorized contraption
Try nine. This is from Series 2! That said I'd love to see her on the show again. (I know she appeared in the Ashes episode, but I'd like to see her do a lap in the Cee'd.)

I think Jodie is 6'2 normally and Jeremy's 6'5, so she is quite tall, wearing heels like she is in this video, makes her roughly about either the same as Jeremy's height or a little taller, hard to tell really isn't it(?)

I saw in the interview with Geri Halliwell (former Spice girl) he said he was 6'5" tall. They were standing next to each other and she said she was 5'1".

Perfect height for me, 6'2"/188cm and she's easy to find in a crowd. Broad shoulders are what gives her away, and adds to the wingspan but still they're only as tall (vertically) outstretched as she is. And she can drive. =)

This was on the same episode as the one in which Jeremy tested the 350z.
Its shoot with a wide angle lens, so it distorts an image somewhat, but youre right.
