War Thunder is a highly detailed vehicle combat game containing over 2000 playable tanks, aircraft, and ships spanning over 100 years of development. Immerse yourself completely in dynamic battles with an unparalleled combination of realism and approachability.
On August 9, 1969, the Haunted Mansion opened its creaky doors to visitors at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. The cold, forbidding, estate had remained untouched for nearly six years, causing nothing but intrigue for passersby, even leading to some strange and unsettling rumors about its presence within the park.
The stories only continued to grow, and Disney’s strange mansion became a subject of great mystique throughout the whole park, with thousands of guests wondering what was inside. Well, their questions were answered when the attraction officially opened and what was inside was so much more magical than anything they could have imagined. Real ghosts? Moving head busts? Picture frames that changed before your very eyes? What on earth was going on here? At the time of its opening, an attraction like this completely blew tourists away.
Given the technological limitations of 1969, this was something people quite literally had never seen before. As far as they were concerned, this was the true magic of Disney finally manifesting. But how did it actually work? What is it about Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion that really gives it the aura that it continues to capture over 50 years later?
Much like the attraction’s façade which remained untouched for several years, this question is answered to those who truly go inside to find out themselves. Everything you have seen and come to know about the Haunted Mansion is surprisingly so simple, a byproduct of some brilliant planning and engineering, and in a strange way, the more you learn about how it’s done, the more enchanting it becomes.

Sure bro 👍🏼
@@JmKrokY it's just a sponsorship, just ignore it
I don‘t think that now is the right time to advertise a war game. I‘m shure you had other options, too
@@fynn1202 sure
no
Cant even imagine how this must have felt in 1969 I mean ever for todays standards its insane
I never thought I'd see the day you would do a video on imagineering- I'm so excited! This attraction has no right to hold up as well as it does. It's already more than 50 years old, but it's still such a technical marvel!
It’s strange how much great stuff from Disney actually came from the theme parks. From small stuff like Figment to big things like the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Never really known much about this specific ride though so this ought to be interesting.
It's really sad how they're treating the parks nowadays. Walt would be very displeased, to say the least.
I like to believe that National Treasure was based on the Hall of Presidents. It's a fun thought
Tbh, I really like when ghosts look like the ballroom illusion, no special glowy spooky goopy ghostly effects or anything, just some invisible entity we can only see because some light got caught in its intangible surface, as if it’s there, but it’s also not
Very good video!
When I was a little kid, like 4, maybe 5 years old, my parents took me to Disneyworld and one of the attractions we went to was the Haunted Mansion. I was so incredibly frightened by the stretching elevator -- like, full meltdown screaming and crying -- I had to be let out a secret back door. It's a very intense memory even now, 30-some years later. Though I would return as a teenager and have a blast going through the entire ride, so there's a happy ending. :)
11:36 Wasn't expecting that reference lmao
I could say “Did you know there was a movie about this ride?” But I’d rather say “Did you know the Haunted mansion song appears in the Sid’s house level of the Toy story 3 game?”
I refuse to tell you why there’s a Sid’s house level of a Toy story 3 game.
Was it the ds toy story 3 game?? I completed that game SO many times as a kid, but never played this level, was it a secret unlockable one? I mean I never got all the collectibles so I guess that could be possible.
@@blackbearflower4251No, It was the console version. But that is still as much context I can give. I didn’t even know there was a Da version, but I might look into how different the experience is!
my guy really skipped over the hat ghost
I don't blame him though the history on that one illusion is as frustrating as it is fascinating and could be its own video
everyone who worked on haunted mansion was so clever and perseverant it's definitely my favorite disney attraction
Agreed!! Hatbox Ghost is my favorite story and ghost character.
My dad got a book from Disney land that goes into a lot more detail about the history and effects used in the haunted mansion and the adaptations of it in different parks like the haunted manor
Sometimes learning about the trick makes it even more interesting. This is really cool.
I will always love this ride. ive been obsessed for years. even before i went there in late 20s.
''I guess I should be scared but I'm not''
What a legend
Loved the vid man! You should do more videos on topics like this. Not gonna lie would love one on the clown motel and places like that!
9:19 - 😂 never thought I’d see Wirral on a video about Disney
??? Your recreation of the singing ghosts is AWESOME, what the heck?!
Also, I'm so curious about the piano-only renditions of the different versions of the main theme. That was really cool.
(Also also I kinda missed the Hatbox Ghost, my favorite,...but no major complaint!)
You put out this video at the PERFECT TIME for me!! I’m literally at Disney right now!!
impressive how people were able do to the Renevant predrop in 1969
Hope you do more vids like this for other attractions.
That ride's one of my favorites!!!

I kind of remember visiting the haunted mansion back in the 80's. In fact I have some photos and stuff, from when I went there. maybe, I can find it all and get some mor epics. out there. a lot of te stuff seen here is not in my collection. so, that means only one thing. I have some extra pics!

This one gonna be good
Wow, 2 unskipabble ads of 20 seconds. Thanks RUclips.
I took my son on this ride when he was 2 years old. He wasn’t, and still isn’t, one to end up being easily scared. But…for some reason the stretching room scared the ever loving $h¡+ out of him. I was immediately worried that he was going to irritate or upset the other people on the ride with us when he started yelling and pointing at the walls and portraits. Luckily, the other people on the ride found it amusing that he was petrified seeing the walls elongate as we descended into the lower portion of the ride and most of them laughed and giggled. One of the mothers on the ride with us even tried to console him, but she was giggling and ended up being unsuccessful in her attempt. When we got onto the actual ride and all of the ghosts and spooky stuff started happening…he reverted to the kid who was in awe of the scares like he normally was. The movie was terrible, but the ride was an absolute blast.
Bojack reference bojack reference 11:36

Watching during a thunder strike ;-;
Imagine missing the premiere by 20 minutes 🤣😢
Wait- I thought this was a Defunctland video until I heard the voice!
the day before this video was made was my dogs birthday lol
Given the technological limitations of 1969, the year we landed on the moon 😆
And before anyone says 'faked the moonlanding' then it still proves my point in how good tech was in 1969 😜
Waiting for your return ns.
I don't know what this is about but I'm watching anyway
what happendto my halloween jumpscare fromnationsquid??
Strange Video. Are You Scared?
Like 👍 if you think this video is way too underrated.
I wish this ride appears in The Owl House, tbh.
Yo that war thunder ad had a sus looking flag in the background. Can someone educate me on that flag? I tried googling it and can't find the exact one
⬇ Early squad?
Are you seriously like begging near the end of 2022? I'm not looking for an arguement, but that's just ridiculous
Edit: by the way, I don't mean to offend.
Yass
Yesss

Did you and the guy who usually makes videos about amusement parks and rides switch channels or something? This feels like it should be in a different channel.
im coming from another video to ask, please stop with the ads every two minutes. i know you have to make money, but as someone with very frequent brand deals, i feel like you can afford to not slap your viewers in the face by allowing them only two minutes of watch time before another two back to back often unskippable ads. im currently trying to watch your Y2K video and have been counting, its literally ads every two minutes like clockwork. i wont sit here and ask anything more of you other than this: please chill with the ads dude.
Make a video of BFDI.
