Yes, this is very common that scalp pain increases with oily scalp. A good solution for you would be to use diluted apple cider vinegar to rinse your scalp & hair after your shampoo. [dilute 1tbsp ACV in 100ml water & pour this on your scalp & hair. Pat dry the excess with a towel & let it air dry. Wait for it to dry before you go out in the sun. Use this only on the days you shampoo. Apply this after your shampoo when your hair is still damp, but not soaking wet with water.]
I had oily scalp and too much of acne on my face ,the dermatologist said that i hv an oily skin don't oil too much ,oil once a week for overnight.when i started less oiling my scalp getting dry and then my scalp started over producing of natural oil then i bought biotique apple cider vinegar shampoo and this shampoo ruined my life my scalp getting numb after that i applied too many types of shampoo and oil but nothing worked .I had consulted too many doctors but not feeling better . Hi, I am having scalp pain since my childhood aroung 10 yrs old n now i am 40 yrs old. The other that i have in consistent is my low hb levels (fluctuating between 8-10). I have asked multiple times from different people including drs about it but they havent shared a reason but prescribed iron tablets. Might be the shampoo is drying your scalp too much... you can try oiling your scalp & Hair for 1hr before shampooing. See if it makes a difference...
