By looking at pewds' lighting equipment, it looks like he already has a light diffuser so it's okay for him to point it directly. That's why when he flipped it over, the lighting was too dim. On the other hand, bouncing the light on walls is a good idea if you don't have diffusers.
And that's how u know poki trying to be smart. But failed.

She was right about if you point the light directly at your face it activates the face filter app and you could see pewd's blemishes disappear 😅 thought that was interesting.

This is why
Coming from a bit of studio photography, both lighting methods are valid. Poki's going for the beauty or cute look which girls prefer, so reflected light softens the features and gives a faint glow on the skin. On the other hand, Pewds' setup with the harsher light provides more contrast and accentuates his lines, resulting in a sharp and masculine appearance.
Great points. I'm not well versed on videography-type stuff so this was enlightening.

Soundproofing panels and curtain dont really help for soundproofing, they’re used for stopping reverb/echo. Stopping reverb/echo CAN help lessen the noise from your room by reducing the overall noise level (less sound reflections within the room) but it’d probably be pretty mild for your room and the panels would be better off spread throughout the room rather than all on the door.
If you wanna actually soundproof it’d probably be best to install a new solid door and keep the old one in storage somewhere so you can reinstall it if you move out. Kinda expensive but probably the cheapest option for actual soundproofing. The more airtight the gaps are between the frame and door the better

Your monitor are at a good distance. but a bit small IMO. You could do with a 32" monitor at that distance (unless it already is and is just further back than I thought).
A monitor at arms length from the back of your chair, is perfect. Too close and it's really bad for your vision, your eyes get tired quicker and all that. Not to mention, you may end up nearsighted in the future if you stare at things too close all the time. So in that way, having a window right behind your monitor, from which you can look out of and see more than 10 feet away, is excellent.

Those ultrawide monitors are actually two monitors with the 19:9 x 2. so you can easily play valorant at one half of monitor and do other stuff on the second half, in that way you don't have to deal with the two monitor setup.
But don't you want to play facing the middle of the desk?
@@daffaagung well you can? Because it like 2 or 3 monitors unite into one which it is easier to control and operate task through it and i think pewds divide the monitor into 3 section which the middle one for his to use and the other for his cam recorder software or other browser for quick search

I remember watching my an ergonomics video when I was doing some research for a desk I planned to build. You generally want the monitor to be an arms length away from you while you are sitting straight with your back touching the back of your chair.

0:41 I once got a black mark so big on my butt and thigh that I was considering going to the ER to get checked out for blood loss.
It was around 3-4 times the diameter of what Poki showed and over 10 times longer(so not round). I also got mine slipping on stairs.
I'm tall, my feet are big and normal stairs aren't deep enough for me to walk down them normally. If I did the front pads on my foot would be over the edge of the steps... this time I did... and I slipped on like 20 steps of stairs.

One year late but I just noticed the light facing him works on PewDiePie's setup because he has a mirror behind him. So any diffuse light in front of him is going to be countered by his background being more lit than his face. Inverse square law doesn't apply here when you compare your face to a literal mirror, even if further away. It does however when the light is more directional. Here the spotlights shine directly at his face so in the background the intensity is lessened. I guess it could be counteracted by directing the spotlights towards a spot behind his monitors directly in front of his face.
