The cable at 4:56 is an adapter for gaming headsets so that if ur using the hdmi for the video and u dont want to plug ur headset up to ur tv that u can just plug that adapter in nd plug the cables that came with the headset into the adapter nd hear the sound comming out of ur xbox.
that odd cable is a Digital Out Adapter (i just noticed that, yesterday i was asking the same thing). You plug one end into the 360, then you plug in Audio Left and Right (Red and White) cables and a Digital Out (the small black connecter) into the other end, then plug the cables into the tv or other device

@TheBacmoh, maybe people's games get scratched up on the xbox 360 becuase, 1. they didin't take care of it, 2. they didn't place it right, The proper way is to place it flat down, but when people place it standing up, the laser can shake, and the cd can slip off the disk tray and get scratched up. People said that the xbox 360 wouldn't last one year, well i've had my arcade since 2008, and it works perfectly, because I use it right, and not like other people
@rutland14 ethernet cables are faster but wireless adapters are more convenient. but the wireless adapter also costs 100 dollars so i think you should just go with the ethernet cable.
@plackersen well i heard the newer made 360's have a low chance of getting the rrod but they still happen so i suggest only to play for 2 hours and let ur console breath
trying to get an xbox 360 hopefully this year; probably the elite version since i prefered to try out original xbox games too without changing consoles. Also, the harddrive space is very considerate @ 120gb. By the way, i hope it's wouldn't be problem to play between 2-3 hours at a given time since my maximum playing was 3 hours at a time. Trying to find ways to avoid problems especially ring of death and other errors.

@XxNosKidxX I guess the value depends on how much you use it, and having grown accustomed to a high standard of PC headsets I find the standard Xbox version to be insultingly below par. Playing Bad Company 2 with a purpose built gaming headset makes the whole experience much more dynamic, and the single eared low sound quality of the stock unit just doesn't deliver for me personally. I consider €49.00 cheap for the enhanced experience the headset offers.

I got my elite used for $228 from amazon and it is a jasper!! Also it looked new which is good because I bought a Elite for $228 and it is basically new. I feel like I ripped them off.

I bought a few xboxes for various reasons and they all came with a mic, perhaps you are refering to a budget pack that just has the basics.. either way I would not recomend the 360 headset as a piece of gaming hardware, TurtleBeach x11 are a great wired set (which I prefer) and are quite cheap too.

However, I actually bought a slightly cheaper variant of a wireless adapter at Target a while back for $70, which so far has been working very well for me, considering it wasn't a Microsoft brand accessory, which traditionally have been better than 3rd party re-creations.

the small a/v port cable was for optical audio and standard audio in case you use HDMI so you can output your audio to a different source.

It means u have 100 gb of space that doesnt interfere with the hdd memory so u have like 220 gb total

you dont need hdmi for xbox it has a switch on the side of the big brick thing that says TV or HD and you just put the switch on what you want!

My elite came with everything besides the HDMI cord. Which averages around 60-100 Dollars.
