I’ve watched a lot of interviews with bands. And I’ve watched a lot of people interview Switchfoot. I got to say, this is one of the best ones I’ve seen. It great to see someone really care about the questions they are asking. And it made for a great heartfelt dialogue. That’s not easily accomplished. Even with a band as open as Switchfoot.

I need to change my attitude.... "Surrender, rather than, take up Arms." I have grown 'distant' to those around me this past year. 2020 was like no other, and 21 isn't going well. But rather than train to shoot my enemies,(Take up Arms), I need to love my enemy, (Surrender), by listening to their point of view. Hopefully, resolve will end the dissonance between us. I knew there was a reason I love these guys so much!

So true a so rude but I disagree with opposite things - and I know it’s ok we disagree doesn’t mean that I would ever love anyone any less and it’s not even criticism- but consider please the problem of opposite (about 10 min mark ) - amazing interview - and also always grow like internally like how hard of clay passages describes , renewal and there’s edifice and iron sharpens iron. Word is really a spirit reality - Switchfoot always touches on that - we are one Body many parts -
Love too how he touches on identity - that’s a real battle coming even more so - and this will be such a thing we can’t take arms but can’t agree with everything but can still love it hard when they come at us for hate when we only listened and loved and are heading in a new direction and totally new door Jesus offers

How about stop beating around the bush and sing about Christ directly? I used to like Switchfoot but Jon did not stand up against LGBQ lifestyle recently. Remember, if you deny Christ and HIS teachings then HE denies you!
