Lastly the liquid metal appears to "smear" across the mouse like gallium does when it begins to solidify, so it was most likely gallium and not Mercury
Sotosolice I'd argue that it's probably mercury because it is a liquid right when it comes out of the vial and does not seem to be solidifying on the mousepad. The smearing you see is just small amounts of the metal being deposited into the mousepad's pores. The heat transfer from his hand into the vial then into the gallium into would probably not be great enough to melt the gallium all the way through unless he held it there for a while, and even then it would quickly start to solidify on the mousepad. Of course he could have just heated it to a greater temperature beforehand, but I find that unlikely, and it would still probably start solidifying in the video because of how long it was on the mousepad. Honestly it could be either one. I'm not saying you're wrong, but if I had to make a guess I'd say it was mercury.
