Amtrak Runs Over Camera!!

  • On 5/8/13 Amtrak departs Ottumwa, IA. I chose to take a chance at a very unique and different shot, and placed the camera between the rails, secured with some ballast. I hit record as amtrak departed the station (about 8 blocks away), and was safely standing off railroad property as Amtrak rolled by, even giving me two horn salutes. Enjoy, please comment and rate!

    Is there really any need for all that horn blowing on American railways,if it's not horn blowing it's bell ringing what is their problem,at least we don't have to listen to all that Bollocks here in the UK,the only time drivers activate the horn here is when something is on the track or there is a farm crossing or entering or leaving a tunnel to name a few,it would drive us nuts to have to listen to all that American bullshit every few minutes, not at all impressed.
