After i became a Christian I always heard about knocking people over the head with the Bible but I haven’t found the right tool for the job.. until now 😝

Too much excitement for me! ✝️ 😻 Can’t wait for the complete write up & review. I grew up in Episcopal Church, and there was one of these type Bibles on the lectern, except the Bible was very ornate, just beautiful. My dad read from it many year’s. He was a Deacon, and the treasurer of the church, all volunteer.

My great great grandfather's Bible I got this year from 1881 is a bit larger than that. It has over 200 engraved black and white images, and many full color pages with gold leaf type. I plan on scanning in all the photos soon. It also has a Bible History and Dictionary of about 200 pages also..it is so big. take care

My Folio New Cambridge Paragraph Bible is about that same size, albeit in a single-column format; cloth-over-board, with one lonely ribbon. It was marketed as the budget version of Folio's more deluxe two-volume KJV and initially sold for $150. I got mine at a crowded used books store in downtown Ottawa for $50, though the gilding was mostly faded and the ribbon frayed. I keep it on my cramped desk and hope to use it in the future for family bible studies.

The only thing that would make this better is seeing Becca's reaction. I would count the eye rolls, especially when Tim says that he'd keep it. 😂

I've always seen Cambridge's lectern Bible in the Revised English Bible translation. I wish someone would review that so I could see it. The REB is the most beautiful and accurate translation of the bible in existence right now and it needs some love.
Hopefully I'll get my hands on one someday!
I love watching your Bible Review videos, especially when you first open them. There's just something about getting a new Bible and taking it out of the box, and the smell of the leather.
I especially liked the video you did on Bibles under $50.00. You don't have to pay an arm or a leg to have a good Bible.

if you really want a massive Bible, go get one of those replicas of the originally 1611 printing of the KJV. I think they are even bigger than this.

According to their website, it's 11.25 Lexicon... but it looks bigger than that to me!

Talk about Bible orgasm, getting to visit Cambridge's store! You know, I'm a generation older than you and I can remember well when good bookstores would have large collections of Bibles where one could actually hold the volume, check out the physical characteristics. I miss that...
I used to get lost in the Bible section of my local bookstores as a kid... I guess that was a bit of foreshadowing for what I'm into now!
