I bought The Adorned Bible in Black Leather Soft from Christianbook and it arrived on August 1. I absolutely LOVE IT so much! Everything about it. The single column which I prefer, the font, the gorgeous illustrations, the gold drop caps and highlights in the quotes for the artwork etc.
It’s one of my favorite Bibles, and I own many.

i have a thompson chain reference bible in spanish but its an awsome bible Tim
I own the Adorned Bible and will put in my two cents. I like the accents which identify the verses that are accompanied by illustrations. I wish though they had chosen a darker colour like blue instead of gold as it is a bit hard on the eyes.
I love Dore’s illustrations, but in this Bible they often use only a part of an illustration like In the “ Wise Men guided by the star” at the beginning of Matthew. I wish they had respected Dore’s powerful artistry and reproduced all his illustrations intact. Furthermore since he didn’t illustrate certain Books of the Bible, they take portions of other illustrations just to have an illustration (ex. In Song of Songs they use part of an illustration of Judith from Dore’s illustrations of the Apocrypha).
That being said I love this as a reading bible. Very comfortable to hold. This is my first CSB bible and I like the translation. And those Dore illustrations really are amazing.

Okay, because I'm an idiot who just had to try it out, I went ahead and got one of those new CSB thinline Bibles from Amazon. And you know what? I'm quite impressed with their opacity. The back of the box boasts about "breakthroughs in paper manufacturing" or something, but it's not half bad. It's definitely better in terms of ghosting than my personal size large print CSB. I'm just not crazy about the font size in the thinline. Comfort print has really spoiled me. Even though the font looks good on the page, it's a bit small. But as a complete package, this Bible is actually pretty good. They have improved the leather soft as well... It seems like they're using different materials from even last year.

The Adorned Bible looks good. A well made cloth-over-board hardcover can be very nice.

I’ve been loving the CSB adorned bible the past month I’ve been using it! The gold verse numbers are a bit jarring, and it’s a bit too floppy for carry, but man is it solid for a wide margin. The art looks really good, too. They did so well on these.

Sewing machines use two spools of thread at once when sewing. The bobbin was probably red thread. It's a really nice touch, isn't it?

Oh that’s interesting! They did the black stitching outside/red inside with their thinlines in 2017/18 when they first came out too, on the black imitation leather and black goatskin ultrathin reference editions. I think it’s a Holman thing more than unique to the CSB cuz I have a Holman NKJV ultra thin in similar black imitation leather with the black/red stitching too. I think it’s a pretty cool looking design!
Better brace yourself-I predict more big boxes coming your way from Holman. They have a massive slate of new Bibles coming if the number up for pre-orders on Amazon is anything to go by.

I picked up a copy of the CSB thinline a couple of months ago. I got the grey cover with silver gilt and one black ribbon. I really like the look and size. I only wish it was black letter, but as far as I know there isn’t a CSB thinline w/o red letter. My issue with red letter isn’t theological, but logistical - the red looks almost grey to me and can be hard to read.

I think you’re right, their thinlines are red letter (unless more black letter editions are coming out…I hope!). The only thinline with black letter so far is in the larger size Large Print Ultrathin Reference. My favourite CSB edition so far is the Personal Size Large Print, great handy size with 11.25 pt font. It’s also only in red letter but the print is bolder/darker in this edition so the red is easier to read. I have it in the brown goatskin and really enjoy it!
