haven’t stepped foot in dark leaf smoking. but i have been smoking out the stynger for weeks with blondes (eternal smoke, trifecta, zomo, element) and i’ve consistently got 1hr45 min on one set of coals (titanium cubes and flats). this little fella is a home run. i love it. if anyone is thinking of passing up this bowl because they don’t smoke dark leaf, then let my comment change your mind please you won’t regret it.
I have questions ... / Ideas for video for you... 1. Do you / would you foil every bowl when using HMD? Benefits vs cons? 2. When you make mixes, do you add a few flavors into a cup, mix them all together and then put in the bowl OR do you put each flavor in its own little spot in the bowl? Ie 12-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 for a four flavor mix .... ( As the hands of a clock) ?
1. The only HMD I use that requires foil is the Provost. Lotus and Lotus type HMDs you should not use foil with. 2. Each flavor gets measured by getting packed into the bowl first. Then I dump the bowl out, mix then repack.

You dont scorch Tangiers with 2 coals with closed lid on Provost? Specially on such a small bowl? If I am not mistaken LeOrange is 25mm coal right? I never tried them cause I am in Europe, but i I pack Tangiers in Alpaca Suri and even with 2x 25mm coals and Provost lid just tilted on coals, it gets scorched.
Nope, it doesn’t get scorched. LeOrange is 25, yes. It might have to do with packing if you’re experiencing that. Feel free to reach out on IG if you have questions.
Well it depends what you’re looking for, but the info should be enough to make your decision (I hope). If you want a bowl for a long session, then this isn’t it. What it will do is use little shisha to go a long way. If you’re a Lotus user, this also isn’t it. Let me know if I missed anything else

I 3d printed a stand to make foiling a little easier. Also leorange is a very slept on brand i use them for everythibg now.
