    Felt the same bro.
    Staying in Oyo for the last 10 years.
    But after the 2nd lockdown things went south. A recent experience was when me and my friends booked 2 rooms in Navi Mumbai and we reached there at 2 am in the morning and all of us were exhausted. The receptionist denied the room without any mercy.
    2 when I was at Mysore I booked a hotel which does not work anymore.
    3 The list of amenities mentioned in the Oyo app does not match the reality. Some places doesn't even have TV and Ac.

    Oyo does a lot of frauds, scams with hotel owners and customers and involved in many of unfair business practices. Checkin denial, last minute cancellation, no refunds, no customer satisfaction and many more.

    My brother booked a oyo room and when he went to hotel. Receptionist started demanding extra charges for no reason.
    When he contancted oyo help centre, there was no response and no refund of the amount.

    One of the reason I got from hotel is oyo isnt paying huge pending payments to hotels and they are in huge loss. So they are not breaking tie ups with oyo and saying they will break up thr tie once full amount is paid to them.

    You have so correctly told everything.
    I faced the similar harassment multiple times and this mostly the issue with the hotel owners who after seeing oyo's success want to make some quick money just using it's brand name but do not want to put the effort required and also they do not have domain knowledge or experience at all. As a result they are unable to handle hotel employees properly also. All they want just quick money.

    I've faced the 3rd issue and i called oyo's customer care, the first time they told me it's not an issue we will refund you after around 15days but that day never comes.

    Sir 3 bar oyo se room book Kiya tha. Pheli bar to oyo room book karke hotel mein Gaya to unka behaviour aise tha jaise free mein room de rahe ho. 2 bar to room Dene se hi mana kar diya. Ab to app ko hi uninstall kar diya hai

    I've faced such problems twice in a row... i booked a room successfully 10-15 days before my actual check in.. On the day of check in they without any message or something they shifted me to some other hotel.. Then I went to the other hotel and they were like" Bhay hmare yaha toh kamra hi khali ni h".. This all happened in late night🤦‍♂️..And when u ask for refund they be like ask oyo customer care.. And when u ask customer care they will cut ur call.. And that's how ur money is gone.. This happened twice with me.. And never ever I will book a room via oyo.. Bhale hi railway station pe so jau but oyo se ni krunga book

    Bhai Oyo 300-400rs./- mein rooms book karwate hai jismein ki 40%-50% Oyo ka commission chala jata hai... Hoteliers ko bas about 150-200rs./- milta hai jismein unko Boht problems hoti hai.... Brother yeh problem Oyo rooms ki hi hai not of hoteliers

    Faced the same issue in Goa hotel staff told me that they have done everything to delist there hotel but oyo is not responding (fyi reason of delisting as told by hotel is huge commision by oyo )
    So from that time i either book by goibibo or make my trip after checking review on site or at Google maps to save me money time

    That the real thing recently I booked the oyo room in Pune and when I visit there they are asking extra charges for room
    This is very disappointing thing happening now a day and people faces this kind of problem
    Even they don’t have the manners and articates how to talk with customers. So if you are booking the room please call them before and ask for is there any extra charges

    I am an ex employee of Oyo and the problem is these hotels want to earn some extra money, they have tie up with us for more engagement then they are asking for extra amount from the Customers even they used to cancel the online order then they make customers to book offline

    Faced the checkin denial issue .
    Tried to contact customer service after reaching the property , they offered me another hotel .
    From the property owner I came to know that another hotel is owned by his friend and they will also not allow the check-in .
    They asked me to hold .
    after 1/2 hr
    they disconnected the call and I wasn't able to connect again .
    No refund , no communication, no response.
    It's about 8-10 months before.

    1- checkin deny isiliye hota hai kyunki tum sab oyo ka coupon coin laga ke sasta dekh ke oyo me pay kar dete ho, hotel owner jeb se paisa laga ke hotel run nahi karega.
    2- extra isi baat ke maangte hain kyunki unke room ki value 800 hai but oyo wale 400 500 show karte hain app pe
    3- tie up nahi khatam hota wo hotel wale bahana marte hain taki tum sabki faltu behes se bach sakein

    Avoid Oyo rooms I was denied room just because I checked in late. My train was late, even after giving the reason they denied me and I was alone, it wasn't like I had a girl with me. Thank God I didnt pay beforehand. This was assam the worst state I've ever visited. People are horrible there

    I think it is a business model between Oyo and the hotel. I too was charged extra for the last 4 times. 🚫👎😐💥 So, I started booking directly with the hotel through the phone. Hotel people said that Oyo is charging too less and there is no profit for them.

    This is the problem of OYO rooms. They are selling rooms on lower price to attract the customers. Because if the guest book the room they will get thier commission from the property and if their is a check inn denied then they will charge 3 times from the Hotelier. End of the day they will in the benefit and Hotelier will be in total loss.

    I've been facing these problems too and apart from those the biggest problem I've faced is non-existent hotels with 4+ rating because of fake reviews. I've been to three of those hotel's locations in last 2 months. The first time the location led me to a house where some boys were living and the next location was of a ground in ghaziabad.
    The book now pay later is now a hoax only and not a feature as you cannot get the hotel's reception or manager contact number until you pay oyo the full amount and even after payment when you'll get the contact number, either the hotel will demand more money, deny check-in, will not even be a real existing hotel, or just say that the money you gave to oyo is now just wasted and none of us are going to get it. So, if you want check-in you have to pay the whole amount of whatever that hotel's charges are for a room.

    Once I booked a hotel on OYO at Jammu
    On reaching I lernt that the hotel was full n refused for check in
    It was a pain to serve for hatel manually after a tiring journey
    It took several days to get my money refunded

    i have faced the same several times. so while booking an oyo room, i need to take down the hotel's no. call them. take confirmation regarding the amount, then need to proceed.
    These days, they charge extra and ask not to pay online where as if you have already paid its a mess for you. we have gone through these harassments a lot. so stopped booking from oyo and contacted the hotels directly in order to avoid these circumstances.

    I have faced all three issues. Tweeted it but it was of no use. I have paid extra. I complained to Oyo, they changed my room thrice and at last I got a small room in very bad condition and when I asked the receptionist. He threatened me. I left the hotel and they said they will not give my money back. Still Oyo has kept my money stating it's your problem that you haven't stayed in that hotel even when I said all the stories that happened to me that night. Then I booked the hotel through other site.

    Faced a similar problem in oyo when visiting Shillong we were promised breakfast while booking with the room but after we checked in the hotel denied any type of breakfast or even canteen facility in its vicinity, complained customer care first of all they were confused on constant complaining they promised a refund of 110 rupees per person till date didn't recieve the money I called once again few days after but customer care says refund in process app doesn't shows anything and the refund is on process from last January 😂😂😂

    Yes bro same problem. Extra charge krte h, bilkul last moment par nhi to check in denial. They take huge advantage of one's helplessness. Customer care wale bolte h hm aap k acc. M transfer kr dengay pese, or Jab customer care ko refund k call kro to 59mins tak ek dusre ko call transfer krte h and on the 60th min. call cut ho jaati h. And I don't know, kuch esa kr rkha h ki call boht rare lgti h. Or jis mob. No. Se apne acc bnaya h us m problem solving ka option hi nhi hota, sift book krne k liye 1 dabayein, cancel krne k liye 2. I've faced a lot of issue. Saala paagl bna diya inhone.     I faced all of them in Bangalore oyo hotels. They deny check-ins saying we stopped accepting online bookings and then demand for higher rates, customer service will initiate refund but you’ll be stuck in the middle of road if you are checking in at night. During my recent trip out of 4 bookings 3 were denied check in.
    Too risky to book via oyo and definitely not recommended to book them if you are traveling with family.

    Problem is on OYO service for the customer & hotel managers bcz they are not providing authentic online charge of hotel price , even they cut money from hotel extra .. oyo is getting flop

    Worst experience with OYO in my first booking,,at last moment I got a call from customer care that the hotel you have booked is full I am changing your hotel and at new hotel i have waited almost 2 hour for refund,such a worst service.

    And also main thing they take long time to process refund, they will give all foolish reasons which aren’t even valid, they took almost 5months to credit back my refund.

    One more thing in mostly Oyo is the smell of some ugly things hope guys understand.. matlab you start getting different vibes just by listening its name nowadays Oyo..

    Hotel is rent 5 to 6 lakhs maintenance 3.4 lakh apko OYO dera just 799/- sab hotel wala bolthe low tariff aya.. this mistake is 100/% OYO .. not hotel .. I agree that …

    All these faced in 2019 when went to Agra. All these problems are tricks to make money by Hotel people. I was told to pay extra or to search other hotel! Oyo customercare told to pay! I told oup tobook other room. They were like their contract ended etc. Such a cheap

    When extra money was charged, I tried to call customer care. Their first level support person picked the call and listened to the problem. Then he said that he will transfer the call to the another team. The call was on hold for more than 20 minutes and got disconnected by itself. I did not even receive refund of cancelling. Tried to call customer service more than 20 times. No help

    Very true.... I faced this issue mostly in Himachal. Very bad experience. They straight away deny for check in, even if you have booked it and made the advance payment

    Oyo is about to denied by all Indian travellers/business persons/officials due to several issues since last 2 years. Now I am using Goibibo, Trivago or MakeMyTrip.
