This was Spinetta's last recital. He was very ill and it was a farewell. This song is very special, it's called "I pray for you"
It wasn't his last concert. It was a celebration for his 40 years of music. He indeed got ill soon after, from lung cancer, but he did concerts until 2011 (this concert is from december 2009). He passed away at february, 2012.
Spinetta-charly, Charly-Spinetta, the respect and admiration is equal.
spinetta integrated many bandaa from a very young age. "Pescado rabioso" was one of them in the '70s. It was a spectacular band.

These songs by Charly García, Spinetta or Soda Stereo/Cerati are true institutions in Argentina and in many other countries in Latin America (same in my country, Perú): several generations have sung it in house parties, summer camps, sing alongs, love courtships... This sounds came from radios, LPs, cassettes, CDs, concerts and playlists to our musical ADN over many, many years, memories, clumsy acoustic guitars, encounters and departures... That explains crowd's reaction full of true-hearted sacred love (sincero "amor sagrado" in the lyrics). Thanks so much, Robk!!!!!
there was a big concert of spinetta whit a lot of great musicians and he plays with all the bands of his past, almendra, pescado rabioso, invisibe, spintta jade and socios del desierto. 5 hours and a half of concert. i was there

This show was very special and emotional for us because of what these 2 means to argentinian rock lovers but they were both far from their prime
I strongly suggest you to check the old classics from them. Try spinetta's Post Crucifixion for instance. And maybe Eiti Leda from Garcia's SUPERBAND Serú Giran

The point of the concert you're watching now is the fact they come up with the idea of reuniting this bands and people who colaborated with Luis Alberto for some huge final concerts. Rumours were being spread concerning Spinetta's health: Two years later he succumbed into a lunge cancer and passed away in 2012. It was an absolute devastating news. You won't find mucho versatility in most artista on the music core like the ones you'll see on me Spinetta. He has played with many musicians for almost any single type of music genre. More than 40 albums are now unvaulted as his legacy. Named as the "poeth of rock" due to his strong poethical and at times hard-to-get lyricisms. But always with love and a sense of consciousness...

El Visitante is an original soundtrack from a movie about 1982 war between Argentina and Great Britain.
Musically it's not a good version because both of them had their voices affected by health issues and their age. But it has a high sentimental value.

te recomiendo de spinetta "post crucificcion" grabado en 1976 por "pescado rabioso" una de las mejores bandas de spinetta.

Although Charly García made a great cover of Spinetta's "Rezo por vos", on the 80's, this is not it. This is a sad and cringy version, by an aged and ruined by heavy drugs Charly García. He was hospitalized, and never recovered.
Just a commentary: this is not just Spinetta's, it was written by BOTH Spinetta and Charly. But I agre with you, it was not the Best version.
