I always love hearing the honesty with living at home as an unemployed millennial because I'm in the same place and our economy is legit crap rn to find solid work.
I would love a video about your current dating life! Even if you're not dating or actively looking, it would be nice to hear someone in the mid-20s taking a break!
I would love to do dating videos and content. My problem is that the guys/past guys often watch my content so then it becomes awkward... I’ve never considered it but I think I definitely will 🤔 thank you Annie!
do some cooking w/ me. watching people bake during the christmas season is comforting. i really like those vids where people don't talk and they focus on the cinematic details of the cookware, the ingredients, and have calming cafe music in the background. and then show you and your mom trying the food. like tasty vids but asmr style
Hi Annemarie, I've been a ghost viewer for a few months. After watching your video, it sounds like one of your biggest passions in life is writing and helping others with their ability to write. If this is a skill that other folks have been complementing you on, then I really want to encourage you and let you know that I think you should explore it. I'm 31 and one of the biggest concerns that folks my age have is being able to identify the 'juice' that gets them excited each and every day. And you already have it! I really want to nudge you to take some time and do research on what subset of writing especially gets you excited; and from there, begin to identify opportunities in the workplace. In today's virtual environment, there's no shortage of needs--you just have to find 'em. Thanks for your willingness to put yourself out there. We appreciate you.
Hi Chris, I am so glad that you commented this. I sometimes get annoyed/overwhelmed by the different hobbies I want to pursue. Reframing it, I'm really quite lucky to have things that excite me a lot. And writing is definitely at the top of that list! I just started reading a book on writing called "Bird by Bird". This comment really meant a lot to me, so thank you!
Your unemployed millennial content and the raw emotion that we see in them is my favorite part of your channel. I’m sure many of us can relate to them now more than ever. I come here for advice on how to deal with this stage of life so thank you! And you look absolutely stunning!
Sometimes I feel like my content will come across as complaining, but I do think it’s helpful a reminder that a lot of people are going through this right now. Thank you so much for this comment! And for the nice compliment 🥺💗
Fight On! USC’2018. I use to see you on campus. :) Anyways, I’m currently employed and I should be thankful, however I am extremely unsatisfied. The job I have feels very draining and I’m not even happy with the career path. I guess I should be happy that I’m still young and change my career path if I wanted to. It’s just daunting since I’m not sure what the necessary steps are to start. Like do I go back to school, volunteer in local projects, or create a business. But your videos helped me come into terms that everyone goes threw the same ordeal. We’re all still trying to figure it out. No one really has it together. I’m trying to get into the whole manifesting your goals. But I love your content.
Fight on!! That's so awesome, nice to see a fellow Trojan. And honored that you're still willing to watch my content post grad! This is actually one of the biggest motivators for me pursuing what I sometimes think could all be pointless. Not all, but most of my friends in their career paths feel unfulfilled and drained. I'm trying to figure out a way to make a living for myself without getting a traditional career. We really are all trying to figure it out as we go! But ~manifesting~ or telling yourself and every person who'll listen about your hopes and dreams, can be really helpful! You never know who can help open the right door. I love this comment, and thank you so much for leaving it!
i think the journaling workshop is great! and also people being more visible about how they are and what they're doing really does create a sense of community (doesnt have to be a daily thing) especially during these times. lately i gravitate more towards those types of videos as i feel isolated bc of everything going on. glad to be back watching your vids ive been out of the loop lately.
I love this! Sometimes I assume that no one would want to watch these types of videos, but then I remember we're all going through the exact same thing. Glad to have you back and thanks so much for this comment!
Hey, I absolutely love your transparency! I don't know if you would consider this but I would definitely recommend TikTok as a source of content. I know you have many things planned out, but I feel like traveling or scenic videos do very well. Fortunately, you have one of the most beautiful sceneries in your backyard. Also, it's a great way to have Alaska Friends & journaling content in quick 60 second videos. Overall, I just think it's a great way to bring traction to all of your platforms.
I have been thinking about doing this lately. I'm not on TikTok at all but my friends are obsessed and have told me to get on with Alaska Friends. I love the idea for the journaling content as well! Both would be perfect for short form. Genius idea! Thank you so much, Alma!
I'm also one of those ghost viewers that you talked about. I decided today I needed to change this and let you know that I enjoy your Alaska Friends series. Just to let you know, I actually discovered your channel because I was on RUclips trying to find inspiration for my next outdoor-wild life seeking Alaska trip. I remember watching one of your Alaska Friends video and it just reminded me of all the wonderful people I met there. So, I hope there will be a lot more videos about the locals, and also the amazing outdoor-wild life that Alaska is know for. Thank you and best wishes.
It’s so crazy to think you could have all those subscribers and views and still not have a solid income from RUclips. What’s a girl gotta do. I’m a big fan of walking. It’s low impact, doable for many people, and keeps you moving. I also love writing.
I've been following you since your USC days and have commented on your videos here and there, but I've gotta say I have always appreciated your candidness and ability to get "real"! It's such a breath of fresh air in a culture and online space that values polished perfection & prioritizes hustle culture/extreme productivity above all else, setting a pace that I personally cannot keep up with. I really relate to a lot of what you go through (spent most of my time after graduating unemployed, currently freelance but feeling meh and figuring things out) and having someone like you to identify with has been so great over the years. I love all of your content, wishing you the best
I am a ghost viewer! I also ran into you on my flight to Seattle last month! Your content has been so refreshing to watch during the pandemic. I've also been growing up with you, can't wait to navigate 25 with you :)
Oh my gosh, it was so nice meeting you!! I was seriously just admiring your outfit when I saw you in the aisle and was so flattered you watched my videos. So nice meeting you and thanks for being here. Excited for 25 together hehe :)
Been a ghost viewer since even before USC! Legit felt like I grew up with you, and was able to see you through all the different stages of your life. Also, you're super real and relatable which I loved. Wishing you all the best~
Lol fellow ghost viewer here :0 I’ve been watching you on and off since my senior year of hs-I’m a year younger than you and found you when I was anxious about going to college and wanted guidance. Now I’m in a similar situation -lost my job during covid, am very much unemployed rn after a stint of waitressing, so honestly the content you’ve been putting out now is very relatable to me and comforting to see as someone who is struggling right now in the career aspect of their life. The relatability and honesty has turned me into someone who doesn’t really miss any of the videos you put out anymore. Keep being honest and doing you!
do seasonal vlogs of the changing weather in alaska during the winter. most of us in socal have never seen snow. start an instagram page of the beautiful scenery in your state! i really want to move to alaska in the future cause i feel like were i'm from it's too populated and i never see nature. also i can't travel anytime soon because of rona.
I'm sorry to hear this. I was rooting for you! I just finished Lambda School and now I'm in Job Search. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you end up doing next I suppose! Good luck! My vlogging officially starts this week though if you want to keep tabs, I'm around!
hi from India! from a remote state called Manipur. love ur channel.. personally i like watching life in a day in different counties.. i would definitely love to see videos on life in a day of different people/professionals living in Alaska. stay safe..
I would love to go to Alaska one day, so will check out your Alaska friends videos :) I started watching u in your USC days and wanted to see what you were up to 😊 I've always loved your videos but I took a hiatus from RUclips for a bit on and off. So ever since I followed u I always check in occasionally to see how you're doing! I've always loved how transparent and kind you are :)
I am super disappointed that you gave up on coding but I get it. It's not for everyone. Best of luck to you. I was here for the coding journey. Take care!
No course of study - coding, medicine, teaching, marketing, whatever - is for "everyone". I went to law school. It wasn't for everyone. It seems like there's a weird cult around coding?
@@atacoatemyfajita Not at all, at least, not in my opinion. What I mean more than anything else is that, not everyone will enjoy it and therefore have the drive to get deeply into it.
I've watched your videos since your USC content and I honestly just love seeing how you're navigating life with all the curveballs it throws. And I love how genuine you are
Watching you from a small town in California in the San Joaquin Valley. I’m a 34 year old mom of four girls ages 15, 13, 6, and 2. Even though me and my husband both have full time jobs it’s a constant struggle. Just trying to give my girls more than what I had growing up and it’s getting impossible in today’s economy
I'm always a ghost viewer on YT, but commenting to show support :) I love the idea of doing more journaling workshops! I would absolutely go to one. I never feel like I resonate too much with people I watch on youtube since we are in such different places, but I really felt "seen" with this video. I'm graduating from college with a social science degree in a few weeks and plan to move home while I look for a job. This pandemic and the job market are very scary, but I'm still excited to move on from my college life (hopefully) soon!
I'm a ghost view haha! I've been watching your videos for months and never actually commented so here I am. I personally love your alaska videos, but in general your content is so relatable to me, I was born in 1996, I graduated from a master degree in february just before the pandemic and I've been unemployed since! Your alaska videos are always a breath of fresh air and I'm always looking foward to them ❤️
Hi Annemarie, another ghost viewer here :) I have been watching your journey for a few years. Def can relate to your video. I used to live in Santa Cruz, CA and since the pandemic moved to shelter in place with my folks. Just wanted to comment and be less of a ghost. I hope the rest of your year goes much better than mine has lol
Im a ghost follower and Ive always enjoyed your vlogs. I know its the pandemic and you don't do as much as you would pre pandemic, but I always have enjoyed just you taking us through your days in general! even If its just a quick clip about cooking, or writing, or Alaska friends!
Love your videos! I think it's such a great thing that you're sharing your journey on RUclips so transparently, and I think a lot of millenials (myself included) can relate to it. Also, aboslutely love your Alaska videos - the sceneries are so breathtaking, and it is so interesting to learn more about the culture there and how people live there. Just watched your video about how you visited your family friends in Palmer, and it was so interesting - I really liked how you had a mix of telling about their lives and then just funny moments. Would absolutely love to visit one day when the pandemic is over!
this vlog is so interesting bc i ahah the 8 min mark made me fully recognize i am a ghost viewer and it might be interesting to hear my perspective lol!-so i'm a college student at osu who watched your usc vlogs a few years ago when i was applying to colleges bc usc was my dream school! and now i continue to watch your content a few years later because it's AMAZING seeing such real life footage of what living in alaska is like :') i know it's such an impossibility that i ever end up there, but i am so fascinated by such a beautiful place in the us and imagining what it would be like to live there indefinitely :)
I always enjoy your topics of what your future plans are. My does a happiness journal each week but I am not into it. I loved when you got outside and see the sights and the weather. What is your favorite place to eat?
I graduated June 2020 and I’m in a weird position. I got a degree in environmental science and I’ve always imagined myself using my degree. I’ve had multiple internship experiences that would make a solid foundation to my portfolio. However, covid just made these positions pretty much disappear. Grants and funding are limited and places just aren’t wanting to hire new people. Fast forward to months later I got a bank job that is 35hrs/week with benefits but it’s minimum wage ($15) plus bonuses. I find myself thinking I should be “doing more with life” than a min wage job- as if I’m too good for it? But not in a cocky way but in the sense that it didn’t go the direction I wanted to and I settled for something else. I hope I’m not the only one in this kind of situation 😔
I honestly think a lot of people "settle", especially when you have bills/student loans to pay,! I did a lot of administration jobs after grad school and I saw them as temporary stops on the way to what I wanted to actually do. There's always something to learn at a job. You're less than 6 months out from graduation in the middle of a pandemic - I think you can give yourself a break on trying to make your best career happen immediately! :)
I have two accounts and I am subscribed to you on both! I would love to see more Alaska videos and how you stay productive videos. Also your writing passions. I've been following you & Katherout since your USC days! Currently, I am a soon to be sophomore in college!
Wow that is so kind 😭💗 would love to share more about writing, as I‘ve realized I’m very passionate about it! Thank you for your support and for this nice comment!
I don't think jumping into a boot camp is probably the best way to learn coding. I personally learned a lot from Udemy and making random apps from my random ideas. I have master's in CS, but most of the learning was outside the classroom.
Hey! I would love to see a video about your running journey. I’ve been really wanting to get into running outside, I wanna feel better and happier. Love your content btw!
I really love this series!!! I'm the same age as you and I am in the exact same situation... I graduated last year, but haven't been able to find a job, broke up with my boyfriend so I live at home again so yeah not the best time! Thank you so much for making me feel less alone and for spreading positivity!😊 I would love to see more videos about Alaska and would 100% join your journaling workshop you are doing great❤
lol hiiii I guess I'm a ghost viewer out of hiding. Been casually following you for a few years now and have been loving your "unemployed millennial" series. I'm also 24, but turning 25 soon, and I've had a lot of the same thoughts around goals, family.... how close 25 is to 30. I enjoy your videos because 1) it's really cool to see what other people my age are up to and what it's like to be an entrepreneur 2) ALASKA! so unique and it's really fun to see your "normal" life there and not just Alaska travel videos 3) when you talk it just reminds me of the convos I have with my friends so that's interesting? idk I also like watching vlogs for this reason!
Hehe hello! I almost cut out the bit about how I feel like 25 is close to 30 and wanting a family so I'm glad to see someone else relate 😅 thank you for taking the time to comment this! It's genuinely so, so helpful for me.
100 miles!!! Go Annemarie go! How has running been with the snow? Does your city plow/shovel well or do you just suffer lol? Also yeah I’d love to see a behind the scenes of RUclips!
I have to be honest, everything you share and you say is interesting and helps a lot. I don't know how to describe but your vibes are amazing and you seemed a really down earth girl. Greetings from a 🇪🇦 fan! PS: you should definitely write in a blog and also tweet more!
I’ve been watching for some years now hehe. I used to come to settle my nerves in seeing that college isn’t so scary but I stayed for your authenticity. I like how genuine and honest you are about your experiences or what you’re experiencing at the moment. I feel like I gain some sort of wisdom every time I see one of your videos:)
Hi also an unemployed millennial here, loved the video, it motivated me to start journaling and writing again. Quick question- how are you getting along with your parents during this pandemic? I'm starting to lose patience with mine. Please give me any tips if you can! :)
My birthday is January 5, 1994; Im 27, and I live in San Diego California. I start graduate school this fall which will make you 27 and me 29 by the time I graduate. We can live together down here and have kids in our early 30's. Deal?
Way to stick to your original content versus trying to fit into a mold that would pay you. Do you still do yoga? And I do sober month every other month and really enjoy it
I would love to learn more about Alaska life in regards to the weather, cost of living, Native Americans, and mental health.
Yasssss! I love this!

Would love more videos on life in Alaska 😍
Would love to see more in regards to your passion for journaling!
I would love to get newsletters from you! Maybe that’s a way to start writing more publicly ✨🤍🌸
Thank you so much for making me feel less alone and for spreading positivity!😊 I would love to see more videos about Alaska and would 100% join your journaling workshop you are doing great❤
I’m also a ghost viewer too😂 I love your content and find them very genuine and I can relate a lot.
Hehe no shame. Thanks for leaving this one 😊
lol hiiii I guess I'm a ghost viewer out of hiding.
@@annemariechase anytime!
Wow, thank you! This is such a nice comment and means so, so much to me. More than I can express!
I love your hair!
Thank you!
I would love if you did more journaling workshops!
I am working on this! Definitely will have more to come. Thank you for this comment 😊
You seem a bit sad in this video :( i hope everything is alright!
I don’t want to be a ghost viewer! Here is my comment, thank you for all your videos
Just came here from an old escalona video cool vlog!!
If you do sober 25, I’m gonna do no sugar 26 lol
Yes!!! Let’s do it. And then let’s do find our husbands 26 & 27 🤪
@@annemariechase actively looking for him at 27 sounds like a plaaaaan!
Love your content!!
Christmas is coming soon, Update your for room 🤗🎄🎆🎇
love the cute little winter themed transitions ❄️☃️ and would be super interested in seeing a what I make on YT video!
Hehe thank you for your appreciation! And yes, I’m on it! 🤓
You should do like a Alaska history video (I just find it interesting). Also, where is the jacket you're wearing from? Looks so comfy!
I would suggest PR or sales if you can try
Hi also an unemployed millennial here, loved the video, it motivated me to start journaling and writing again. Quick question- how are you getting along with your parents during this pandemic? I'm starting to lose patience with mine. Please give me any tips if you can! :)
My birthday is January 5, 1994; Im 27, and I live in San Diego California. I start graduate school this fall which will make you 27 and me 29 by the time I graduate. We can live together down here and have kids in our early 30's. Deal?
You should try nursing school! Never heard of an unemployed nurse
FYI your blog is not linked in the description
Id love to hear your experience looking for work.
I love being early!!
Okay but your bangs look so good
Thank you so much!! 😌
💕
💜
Hi Annemarie! I might be transferring to USC and was wondering how your experience there was? I'm most worried about the social aspect.
Way to stick to your original content versus trying to fit into a mold that would pay you. Do you still do yoga? And I do sober month every other month and really enjoy it
In indian news channel's it shows that ,"Alaska town will not see sunlight for next 2months as polar night is here".
Is this news true
Ahhhh does that mean you quit coding or just coding school ?!
What!!! we have the same bithdate also turning 25 jan 5th ✨🥳
