Just found this channel today. Ultimately, we all have to keep improving and studying whether with a degree or not. I love Software because it makes it possible for people to get opportunities even without a degree. Software requires you to put in the work. Period. Put in the work. Let that sink in. Hustle will always beat skill, when skill doesn't hustle. Thank you guys!
My concern is if people have to finish degree then pursue Boot camps and skills courses, then the courses in the degree are obsolete and should be scraped and respective Deans be fired, because how comes they are not aware of these job market requirements? What are they doing about it?
Change can be hard for some organisations and companies we understand That's why Faith advised that one should scrutinize a school before they decide to join in At the end of the day it is what you as an individual is doing to equip yourself with the skills required
Defending this, i support one going to bootcamp after doing a Computer Science degree. You can't come out of campus being proficient at coding, not unless you were actively learning programming by yourself. This is because the CS degree has a lot of sub topics in it other than coding E.g Artificial Intelligence, Data Structure & Algorithms, Systems Design, User Interface Design, Computer Graphics etc .... just to name a few and some are theoretical or full of underlying mathematics. So coming out fresh from campus you may be having a lot of knowledge from different disciplines, taking a bootcamp now will help one to focus on just software engineering, game development or any discipline of choice, but also, it will be easier for one to learn by themselves if they don't have a chance to join bootcamp.
Loving the content 👏
Thank you ❤️
