New GHB2020 and FAQs came out so some things changed - points, and no more realm artefacts D: However, greatswords and blackguard are better than ever, and dispossessed got some nice reductions.
HeyWoah are the lists still useable as a guideline for someone who wants to start with AoS en start collecting the cities? Or is there a list that isnt usable anymore?
I absolutely love this new format, I really do. I've actually just commissioned someone to paint the first army from your Slaves list. I look forward to the Gloomspite one ;)
These videos (both the faction focus and lists) are awesome, keep it up! You're long video about all the factions got me buying models for the first time last year
Very good vid dude. One thing to mention, especially in Greywater (personal favorite City), is that Ghoul Mere Ranger lets you run and shoot Artillery within 12, let alone other shooty models. Just a playful thought there... But yeah. Glad to see the lists of Sigmar being what I've always seen with Cities as a whole: combos for days
I learned one thing from these video for cities of sigmar. And that's I dont want to play cities of sigmar. I fell in love with the lore and personal narrative potential, along with the massive kitbash potential with this faction. I am not crazy about any of the mechanics though. Thanks for these videos, and thanks for offering suggestions to similar playstyles.
Great video!! I was wondering if you could do a video similar to what you spoke about in part 1 of cities of sigmar. Where you can build based off of strategy, city or race and build an army off of that. I think it would be a great content idea and would help out new players better understand how you come to your determinations and wombo combos. I personally would also like to your approach to building lists. We all have a similar concept when we build but as a frequent tournament player, you may have a greater insight. Please keep up the good work.
Some nice combos you showcased there, great! While keeping everything entertaining and compact. Not an easy thing to do for a faction like CoS. One small detail i recognised for the Tempest Eyes List - and just due ot the fact that I'm actually painting 6 of them :) - 2 out of 3 evos on kitties can be equiped with grandstaves
They're good - using them as your wizard(s) is plenty good - not even just in hallowheart. To me they're slightly worse than Sorceress, but come with no baggage or other reqs (like her sacrifice targets).
I didn't expect art from Soulbound to make an appearance on a listbuilding video. Oh well, I'll know that the city of Brightspear will be defended by Stormcasts blowingthemselfs up.
I've had a definite plan for the first 4, to be armies that can also help set the scene for AoS worldbuilding and history as well, and 1 of each GA to start sounded fair. After that, it's probably going to be up to my patrons to vote or pick.
Do you plan on ever updating these? I've been watching your channel for years and I finally started playing but a lot of these aren't as usable anymore.
Because I had to do a list for all seven cities which included SCE, Sylv, and KO units to explain. StD length will probably be the average, and I don't think any army will be as long as CoS just from the nature of combining half of order into one book.
Any chance you could recommend a good army for a beginner? I'm thinking Slaves to Darkness, Nurgle, or Legions of Nagash. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
I think StD and Nurgle are both a bit better for new players than LoN - that book has has a lot of strange revisions and collateral rules updates as new books came out, making it an awkward choice.
Shame more art like that didn't make it into the actual Cities battletome. The lack of art showing the different factions working together was probably my only gripe with that book.
@@HeyWoah fair enough, didn't expect my first creator responce to come on a year old video lol. Its kinda tippy ill have to check out the new one later today
"I am once again asking for your artillery support" Lol

These lists are great - its so nice to see lists that aren't cutting edge competetive but provide a solid base!

What the frick, this hammerhal is exactly the list I had in my head based on what I thought looked coolest... no wayyyy

How do I build a list around the Collegiate Arcane Mystic Battle Wizards model? Didn't see them recommended in any list you made.
They're good - using them as your wizard(s) is plenty good - not even just in hallowheart. To me they're slightly worse than Sorceress, but come with no baggage or other reqs (like her sacrifice targets).

Great vid! Woah if you were gonna go a dispossessed/iron drake based list which city would you recommend for maximum dwarfs? Thanks!
I think it depends on what monster you're trying to run and if you want the irondrakes to have a bridge.
Great video! Just curious if you have an idea on which army you want to do next?

HeyWoah Gitz plz
Would you do a third faction focus vid with torunemnt list in mind.
Subscribed. Going through your stuff and loving it. Love the style. Ironjawz next!
You have nice ideas in there. Keep making videos in that format and look at lists, really interesting! =)
I like the second list a lot personally :p
Can we get a fyreslayers faction focus?
I don't think sisters of the thorn fit in the white fire retinue battalion its hero wizards
Oh no! It's hero wizards
@@HeyWoah they still gain from the command ability so still a good double cast unit

actually yes, I just worked a lot of extra hours last month to have time this month to update youtube vids
Wait, wait. Why is this CoS list clocking in at almost 20 minutes, but the Slaves to Darkness counterpart can't even get past the 10 minute mark?
Because I had to do a list for all seven cities which included SCE, Sylv, and KO units to explain. StD length will probably be the average, and I don't think any army will be as long as CoS just from the nature of combining half of order into one book.
Would you say that the 30 block of black guard should be phoenix guard? Is 2+ to hit better than 4+ ignore?
The blackguard make our 3rd battleline, and are D6+2" faster with buffs. Also didn't want to just put 30 PG in every list even though they're good.
HeyWoah oh yeah I guess I forget about the things beyond warscroll and points
Thank you so much man!
Does anyone else want to make a stardrake in steam armor?
Any chance you could recommend a good army for a beginner? I'm thinking Slaves to Darkness, Nurgle, or Legions of Nagash. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Is your whole group new as well?
@@HeyWoah I'm just starting out, and I don't know anyone who plays yet. So I'm just assuming anyone I meet will be more experienced than I am.

@@HeyWoah thanks for helping me narrow down my choice dude. Appreciate the advice.
What book is that art from?! I've never seen it before.
That's Johan Grenier art, one of the better AoS artists imo. I believe this particular art is from the crucible 7 sigmar RPG.
Shame more art like that didn't make it into the actual Cities battletome. The lack of art showing the different factions working together was probably my only gripe with that book.
He said "timmiest" list, what does that mean?
Around 3:50
It's one of the psychographic profiles popularized by Mark Rosewater. Timmy likes big creatures, to greatly oversimplify.
Timmeh!
woah. great stuff
please do the seraphon AGAIN
pleaseeeeeee! XD
I thought you forgot about us
School’s in session🤓
Stop it man! I can already hear by wallet groaning after watching the last one of these
Drives me mad that they really just crammed elves dwarves and men into one faction
.
Wtf is up with this guy's intro
I made it before I thought I'd get popular, had to make a real one for later vids

Too many stormies in too many lists. Yuck and yikes
