You are lucky you got the wheel covers. Other people receiving their Foundation Series are reporting that Tesla is only giving them IOUs for wheel covers in the future.
Good to know that Tesla is still using anti reflective coating on the display. (If you can’t tell, notice how to reflections are softer after removing the screen film).
"no carpet" seems like a good idea (I did carpet delete on my last two trucks) until somebody (and you have kids!) spills a drink all over the floor. Then it runs EVERYWHERE, as opposed to just stopping where it hits. Don't ask how I know this! My suggestion, get some black bath mats or towel to put over the all weather mats (and below the car seat!). It will save you time on cleanup.......
I was under the impression that the under rear seat storage compartment was included with the Foundation Series but I have yet to hear anyone mention that. At first I thought it was because the Tesla store says it won't be available until "Early 2024" but I'm starting to believe I was mistaken. Too bad since I was including that in the tally for justifying the $20k "early access" markup.
The best and cheapest range extender is not the $16k battery pack that will be @500lbs in weigh but a solar tanue cover. Maybe they can work with Aptera and get them to make a solar imbedded tanue using their solar cell tech. This may add @30 miles per day when its sunny. If it cost @$2-3k it would be much more cost effective and if you are out in the bush camping this is a good thing to have. Maybe Tesla Solar can build a solar tanue cover 😊
Thanks for confirming that canceling my FS was the right thing to do. I swear every video I watch there is another major letdown 😔 I’ll keep my F150 for now. Btw I use my home link in both my P100d and my f150 all the time and not having that is another huge letdown. Why would I want a subscription to open my garage door?
Where in California? I order my back on Nov 22 2019 and still waiting, got the incial email about the the $1000 to continue the process but still waiting on delivery day
I’m in Northern California (about 120 miles from pickup location in Dublin). I’m not sure how they decide who gets what. I got invited to foundation series. My order number was sub 10000, but not sure exactly. This is our 4th Tesla vehicle so perhaps they took that into consideration?
Thanks for the info, how long a took from the time you got the invite to buy the foundation to deliver? I’m ordering number 91,000 also own 4 Tesla too. This waiting time take your sleep away lol
Its handles and drives as good as the model S we used to have. The steering is hard to explain but is the best thing I’ve ever experienced. Comparing my other truck (Ram 1500), this is just as big but feels like a sedan…it makes driving the other truck feel archaic.
@@Trever-bj7xt you seem down to earth. Others say similar things. Can't get my head around what I see and these reactions. Very interesting. One day. I think it's also stainless steel alloy across the bed or back adding rigidity as Lars pointed out, 25% more.
Thanks for the video! Makes waiting on my FS even more painful. In all seriousness, what's the news on Supercharger use? I have seen rumors it is include for life with the FS. Is that true?
Thank you Trevor. I have an option to configure mine for Foundation Series which is 20K more than what I actually wanted. I understand it was Premium connectivity, FSD and other Quirks Do you think we are loosing value here in the long run or there could be a market who would be intersted to buy a Foundation Series with a Premium prices because of all these Quirks? Thinking which direction to take.
I don’t think you’ll lose money in the long run. I’m assuming you can still resell in 1 year for the extra 20k, but as for now, you’d be paying 20k more to get it now vs in a year or more.
Not having Homelink on a 100,000 car feels like you’re getting nickel and dined by the richest man on earth. At least in pude it on the foundation series.
Hey do you have a way I can contact you? I own a vinyl business and our ppf screen protectors are very popular. If you can send me the clear cover that is on the screen I can remake them and send you some for free to review. Please let me know we can turn it around in one day and send you the product
@@Trever-bj7xt no problem, I do have a few leads. If we get one made and it works out I would love to send you some of our items to install and review! Do you have a way to contact you? IG or FB
Still no FSD......... Imagine GM or Ford selling a vehicle, getting paid for a feature but delivering it without the feature and no real time to receive it. Folks this is called an interest free loan just like your reservation fee for four years.
First let me say congratulations on your new truck here's my feelings about this foundation series and the ripp off 20K they're charging people you're charging you for stuff you don't even have first of all second of all it's a very steep price just to have a foundation series truck it's really not much different than a regular one in my opinion for $20,000 you could have bought yourself a brand new vehicle I think Elon musk is getting very greedy to charge somebody 20K for a couple of measly slats and updates and other few items not working in my opinion I think it's a complete rip-off but congratulations on your truck
I think it’s more than fair and was happy to place an order for the foundation series! Reason being that $20k is the price you pay to skip ahead in line and get it way before I would have otherwise. If people like me are willing and happy to pay the extra $20k then as a company, it makes a ton of sense to do it
Hey… they are not for everyone and I guess you fit into that category as well.. people don’t always buy things for monetary reasons.. he can’t sell it for a year without penalty so he must have wanted it.. he had or has a model X so he knows Tesla.. tell me people buy a Ferrari because they want it, they buy it for resale most of the time as an investment. This is for fun..
@@iannealcole I owned a 2023 Model S for 8 months, and there was nothing fun in the end dealing with horrible build quality that Tesla now refuses to fix under warranty, dealing with annoying public charging, dealing with horrible ride quality and tons of cabin noise and cheap materials everywhere for a $100K car, and then dealing with the car breaking down at midnight on the side of the road.
Thank you for your video and congrats!! A question for you. Does the Foundation come with the $80 rear bumper covers seen in the Tesla shop for CyberTruck?? Hoping to receive my VIN soon and I thought about getting the bumper covers to install at delivery.
Nice call-outs and hidden gems. Thank you for posting!
Glad you like them!
Great video! This is the first video showing the seatbelt feature. Thanks! Can't wait to get mine in the next few weeks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for covering these items on the Cybertruck! Learned new things!
Thanks for sharing & congrats! Enjoy your CT while the rest of us wait :)
Cheers from Boston!
Thank you! Will do!
Very good synopsis
thanks..one of the best videos that will give you more information cause nobody mention any of that..thanks!
When the door opens and closes, the window works perfectly🎉
Saw one similar Cybertruck yesterday. Wheel covers missing. The wheel hubs showed rust. Puzzling.
Darn. Too bad the garage door opener is not integrated.
Would you share your wheel covers? Looking for some for my truck 😅
Doesn’t it come with some sort of hardware to make use of power from vehicle to home??
Yup, the PowerShare hardware. Haven’t received hardware yet, waiting on a call from a local installer, I think they will supply
Your driveway is famous...I recognize it lol.
You are lucky you got the wheel covers. Other people receiving their Foundation Series are reporting that Tesla is only giving them IOUs for wheel covers in the future.
Seeing more videos of CT's being delivered. Anyone tracking how many have been delivered? Tesla does not disclose delivery numbers.
Good to know that Tesla is still using anti reflective coating on the display. (If you can’t tell, notice how to reflections are softer after removing the screen film).
Great vid - enjoy your new ride!
Thanks! 👍
Does it have a frunk?
Saw in another video - the tailgate has soft close.
Can you disable entry mode so it always sits high ? And is medium the highest you can set it while driving highway speeds?
Yup you can disable it. Medium is the highest setting for driving over 25 miles per hour (unless in off road mode I think but haven’t tried it).

It suck’s it’s not included. I will definitely buy it when it’s available
Another great demo Liz thanks! Is the old Ford yours or your Neibor’s ?
i’m assuming the auto-pilot isn’t available for cybertruck because there aren’t enough on the roads to calibrate it for cybertrucks specifically.

CA

We didn’t get anything during delivery. I’m thinking it will come at the time of install but haven’t been contacted yet by local installer.
Does J1772 fit? Out of spec reviews shows it doesn't?
Just checked, fits fine
Nema 14-50 probably won't come with all trucks. Tesla doesn't even bundle mobile adapter with other cars anymore
Are these accessories all given by Tesla, or did you purchase them separately?
Given by Tesla as part of foundation series. Available for purchase on their website otherwise.
😍😍
