I think i have the same problem. Let us know how it goes in terms of how they’d even be able to fix this (adjust the L-track rails somehow? I doubt the can do anything about the bed if its like too high in the middle or something). Or I guess just swap out your accessory. But IDK this seems like a weird one to attempt to service.
Same issue here… they should make a recall on those, they are just not manufactured the way they should. I tried it for like 20 minutes or until I was too exhausted to keep on trying. Definitely not what I expected. 😢
SOLUTION for not Fitting in the Middle: You can adjust the height of the divider by removiing 1/2 of the rubber base. Yuo need an allen wrench, pull the 2 screws out, and sperate the two pieces. Scrwe back in the primary base and the whole thing drops 1`/4" plus, which is enough to fit.
I agree this should have all been included in the option package. not only that but. if you add $ up the options that it does come with, they don't even add up to $20,000. anyway, I got the foundation package and bought separately the cargo divider and had the same issue seen here. except mine don't fit anywhere on the track. and what is most upsetting is there is no one to call and ask a question or raise a concern. I can't find any number to call that will get me a real person or email even chat text nothing and nobody. does anyone know how to reach a real person at tesla?
There's no way they didn't think people would put the divider at the edge of the under bed trunk door hinges. That's a very key spot to keep items from shifting over the top of it. I hope it's easy to fix on your truck. The divider in general should be very helpful in keeping things in the back of the bed so they don't slide too deep and require getting up into the bed to get out.. So again the ideal placement is exactly where you tried to put it.
I think Tesla should tweak the design of the divider with a spring loaded rubber foot mechanism on both sides. You would apply downward force while releasing the engagement lever. That would compensate for any bed floor variations or debris you may have on the bed as well along with making a nice solid contact at the bottom of the divider with the bed.
Thanks for making this video. I have the vault divider already and waiting for my CT delivery date. I’ve seen posts about the problems in the middle 1/3rd of the truck with it seating correctly. I look forward to the update after speaking with the service center.
I just got my cyber truck yesterday. I had previously ordered this item, tried it today and have the same issues. I wish I would have watched your video prior to purchase.
My service record says “concern: Customer States: The right side of the bed is higher than the left. So I’m unable to secure the L track on the right side. Repair Notes: Verified customers concern regarding the bed being higher on one side compared to the other. Technician inspected and discovered the RH of the bed floor is raised up preventing accessories and attachments from attaching to the bed. Upon further inspection bed trim is warped. Performed exterior adjustment but trim is still raised and will need to be replaced. Due to part availability future service visit will need to be made for trim replacement.”
Thanks much. Same issues. I should have watched this before ordering, but then I usually expect directions to come with. Nevertheless it does fit tight enough to keep most things from sliding.
Update. I pushed it down. Adjusting the spring loaded side. One side then the other. It wasn’t easy. But it will go down. At least on my CT. I was ready to beat it with a hammer. I didn’t have too.
I had the same fitment issue. I was able to get one side to click relatively easily by sliding it around. The other side, i sat on, wriggled it left and right, and pushed down on the mounting bracket. It clicked!
Bought one and will return. The Cybertruck Vault Cargo Divider L Track pins are too high and do not align with L track. Additionally, the cargo divider lower metal beam is resting on the truck bed floor which will result in damage to the truck bed floor and or the cargo divider.
Hi Chris, I Have the FS CB, I have issues with my truck and multiple SC visits have not resolved the issues. first thing i brought it in for was the cargo divider they said they would fix it just bring it in I stated that I would rather not have to take time off work and bring it in if they are only going to force the divider into the track. since I have heard other owners say that that's what they do. and I can do that myself I don't need a SC for that. they told me no don't worry we won't do that and after we fix it, I will be able to use the divider as intended. well, they lied because all they did was exactly what I thought they were going to do force it and the problem still exists. when I picked it up, they acted and said that it was all resolved and ushered me away. they sounded so confident that I didn't check the work until I got home. when I got home the thing was not even on the track from one side. either that side popped out from the excessive force on it when forced into the track or they just were not able to get it on all the way. I get in contact with the SC, and they apologized for the mistake and scheduled me back in a week. As I was reviewing the work order I found a previous work order on my truck that I was not informed about and had no idea that my new truck had already been to the SC before I got it. it was to replace a noisy fan for the cameras on the windshield. ok no big deal I think they should have told me about that but at least they fixed it. except the other day I figured out how to get into the hidden service manual and it shows a fault on my camera used for FSD it said that there is an obstruction or needs to be cleaned turns out that its dirty on the inside where i cannot access to clean. it's no wonder one of my views is so bad. yet I've been to the SC 3 times, and they have not mentioned this to me at all. all three times they have not been able to resolve the issues at hand. my second visit on the cargo divider I said you guys were not honest with me last time you told me that you would not just force the divider and that's what you did, and the problem is still there. can you please explain to me how you intend on fixing it this time? he told they are going to do something they didn't do last time and that they are confident that this will fix the issue. what they said was all we have to do is loosen up all the Fastners on the tracks adjust them up to make ore space and that will fix it. I said OK that's what you said last time and failed. it didn't work and again they just gave it back to me like all is good. but i wasn't failing for that again I did the inspection before leaving and discovered that it's still the same but now my cargo divider is broken. So, they were like sorry we did the best we could. by this time, I had learned about the new revised cargo divider that other people who ordered the faulty one were receiving the new one hassle free in the mail. They looked like they had no clue what I'm talking about. they said they will look into it for me and see what they can do. meanwhile I had become aware that the logo on my tailgate was missing. and that logo represents a $20,000 dollar difference in price so yes, I want the logo. the technician writes a new work order to replace my tailgate. and it's over a month away. I think okay they need time to order the part and be prepared for the work they need to do. well, I show up at the time and date we had set and by that time i had become aware of another issue that some of my edges are razor sharp around the doors and other places. they tell me we have to check and see if we have the tailgate. comes back and says sorry we don't have the tailgate we will have to reschedule you to come back for that and as for the sharp edges we know that they are sharp he shows me his hand with band aids unfortunately there is nothing we can do. you will have to fix that yourself. so, another waste of a trip and nothing has been fixed no resolutions just more lost time and money!
I bought this divider and had the same issue. I think I will have to remove the rubber feet to make it work. Maybe grind them down a little? I don't want to do that until I decide if I will keep it or return it.
