This video took me to the type of place I ( at times " we " ) would seek after having scored in order to have my/our hit in complete peace and oblivion ... abandoned schools, factories , houses ... obsolete , forgotten , dead things . Thanks to whoever put this together - it´s taken me places that´s for sure ...

I just listened to the original version of Manic Depression from Jimi Hendrix. It's amazing how different their approaches are to the music style. Jimi makes manic depression sound fun, while Gitane really captures the reality of it.
As good of a guitarist as Jimi Hendrix was... This cover far exceeds the original, which in my view was far too upbeat for the lyrics. Gitane does magic with this track.
I’m a big fan of Christian Death and Hendrix, but as someone who suffers from severe, sometimes manic depression, this is hard for me to listen to because it is absolutely gut wrenching.
A me pare che in questo pezzo si parli dell'angoscia della perdita di senso, della sentirsi decaduto, del ritrovarsi tirato in una condizione agli antipodi (la depressione manicacale).Così trovo azzeccatissima la scelta di riprendere ciò che ora resta, lo scheletro, di un albergo (o così mi sembra) ora abbandonato.Non abitare più questa casa, adesso in rovina. Girare tra le stanze che furono e ora non sono più.Adesso,un non luogo.Questo mi pare centri il senso del pezzo, come il rosso shockante.
Il video è bello e ben fatto: ottima scelta per la location, azzeccatissimo il mood rosso (mi sembra che qui non stia a significare il caldo sole avvolgente del tramonto, ma lo shock del sangue), geniale come idea...ma la fine che c'entra?Il tipo che fugge e chi porta la telecamera che si accascia a terra (se questo è l'intento, non mi sembra proprio riuscito in modo naturale), come dopo un delitto...non lo trovo in linea con l'interpretazione e il senso dati da Rozz ed Gitane al pezzo.
