Angelina has always created her own style, especially by the time she was 9. This is her original song about love as a concept instead of about a person. She has been protected her whole life by her family, but she graduates HS this month a year early at 17, so her family is ready to cut her loose. This is a single from her upcoming EP this month, followed by a full album in the fall, all of original songs. Her record label has held off for 3 years now waiting for this moment & she begins a World Tour in the fall. She is going to be a household name in 2 years, mark my words!

@@rickrack4812 While I Agree with Keith's Interpretation, Poetry is often subject to multiple interpretations, and even the Writer may not be certain of the meaning of a poem, or may intentionally mix or Layer the meanings to encourage the reader/listener to take the time to think about the subject(s). Art of any type always interacts with the listener/viewer to find meaning. Does the Mona Lisa's Smile denote innocent grace or sardonic superiority? .Everyone will have their own POV and answer.
It's not so much that we, the Angel fan base, hold her to a so-called "higher standard" (however subjectively or objectively that can truly be defined). It's that Angelina herself has always held her own self accountable to a high standard, not only in her musical development, but also in her lifestyle and graceful, elegant persona she portrays. We simply sit back, watch, and listen in total shock & awe, while our feeble brains try to process it all. Very well done reaction and analysis!

The Norwegian barefoot princess now living in LA is the best young female vocalist we have today - Now 17 years old. Angelina sings better than already established world stars. No one can stop Angelina from becoming a world star. That's just how it is! Her first singel released 5th Mai 2023, and her album will be released later in 2023 with Republic Records.
Over the years, she will become a legend for the great moments in the world. She has plenty of time. Remember she is just 17 years old today, which we forget when we see her perform. Republic Records who should also be praised for appreciating this unique talent.
The world watches music artists full of platics, digital effects, and sex-focused music videos. Angelina will soon blow up some scales for people to look at music as the art it was meant to be.
I too have often wondered how it must feel to be a child and to be subject to the kind of admiration that verges on worship and to be constantly be told that you are the best in the world. "So much confidence" is exactly right. She was a superstar in her own country as a child -- but fortunately that country was Norway, not the US. She got used to the attention as a big fish in a small pond. Then she stood in front of Simon and the other judges at AGT and simply knocked Bohemian Rhapsody out of the park. How could the pressure get any greater? She's been a pro since 8. Her EP is coming out later this summer -- so don't wait "years" to check back in. On the content of this song -- she's knows she's on the verge of enormous fame. She's asking the love she's depended on all her life not to leave her. I think that's why her grandmother is in the video. She wants to remain grounded, but of course who knows?
What we have here, is an extremely talented girl who has been protected by her family. She appear to always be classy, and elegant in the old fashioned way. She even let her grandma be in her video when she is 17 years old. Who else would have even thought of that.... She is never afraid to be herself. And she loves the 50's and 60's. So this is a visualizer for those out there who likes this way of singing a song and vibes like this. She is my personal favorite. For most fans, her voice is off the charts. I am listening to all genres and hundreds of different artists during a month. From Heavy Metal via contemporary EDM, electronic music, and also Mozart and Bach. Music is kind of a hobby for me. Angelina signed with Republic Records, in August 2020, at age 14 and we believe there were two conditions, made by her family. Firstly, for Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and secondly, Angelina maintains 100% control over what she sings. The CEO of Republic Records personally attended the signing and declared Angelina, "their highest priority new artist". If I could ask Angelina one question, it would be, "How many songs have you written?" This is her 6th original song released, and I have to believe she has written dozens more. Angelina said a EP with original songs would be released in June.

Angelina's recording contract with Republic Records, by all appearances, gives her full control over her artistic choices, production standards, full involvement in business decisions, public appearances are her own decisions. I've been watching her for about 6 years now, and surmised that there a two rules one should abide by when watching/listening/judging her:
1. She is always correct with the artistic and vocal choices she makes.
2. if you think she has made a wrong choice or a mistake, refer to rule number 1.

I don’t think you have to worry about Angelina’s future. She is an intelligent, grounded, charitable young woman with great family and fan based support. Her contract with Republic allows her great control over music and her upcoming album is all original material written by her in conjunction with her team. Love don’t let me go is an original composition. I a 76 years old and have never had a singer affect me the way she does. Her voice is hypnotic, introspective, calming and just puts me in a good mood. Comparisons to Ami and for that matter anyone else is tiresome for she is a unique talent. I'm not worried about Angelina's direction being compromised in the music industry. Angelina has been referred to as a child prodigy as was her Grandmother Mery. Her Grandmother was & is still a prolific artist. It's her Grandmother who's been her rock & muse. What I just found out recently is that Mery has a degree in psychology. With her uncle & mother & rest of the family they made sure she grew up as normal as possible despite the demands for her to perform. And at times her family had to hold her back. I have no doubt that now that her first EP is coming out this year, her family have probably been educating her on the business side of the industry. Listen to the interviews she did on the Norwegian talk shows as well as a few mini documentaries that was done about her. It is quite revealing that as a child she was already mature in her thinking & outlook. The one that stuck out to me was the one when she was 12 & also performed her original "Sheild" on the same program. The song was about her relationship to her family.

You should look at her cover of suspicious minds by Elvis, 1 of so many covers of classic artists. Check out her concert in July 2022 in Norway it will blow you away and showcase her diverse songs.
She has this year performed official song for world soccer fifia awards, performed for Heidi Klum's Germany Next Top Modal contest, Performed at Asian Gala presentation event, any many others. She is at so many world wide events and it looks like her really breaking out.
LOL, 4-5 years for Angelina is nearly an eternity to us, because her ability seems to advance 2-3 times the rate of most other vocalists.
The micro-mini skirt, platform shoes, big hair and the 1965 Porsche with AM radio all scream 1960s and she carries it off superbly.
Angelina’s sounds are spell binding. The drooped consonants allows her to play with her play with the vowels. Adding to the listening pleasure. As for her being controlled by the label, she has full control of her music. The help and support her. Of course they will promote her when her family feels time is right. Everything points that to be this year. With the bigger push forward starting after graduation.
As far as the meaning of the lyrics to her songs, she knows why she writes them and sings them i the voice and with the emotions to match her feelings. As for us, the receivers, we each hear and feel the meaning/connection our own way. That’s the beauty of art.
I believe the fact that Angelinas parents turned down so many offers including Disney, gave them a little more room to negotiate. So that's how they got an agreement from Republic not to push her out until she finished school. I believe they also git an agreement to give Angelina far more artistic freedom than normal for a young artist.
She is now 17. This is her first single off her album which should be released in June. Feel like it's very appropriate that she included her Grandmother Mery in the video that is pretty much announcing her to the world.

June 2024. Angelina Jordan has been discovered by multiple Grammy winning writer, Toby Gad. He was looking for someone new to re-interpret "If I Were a Boy" for a new project. But they seem to have formed a bond and are collaborating on much more. Later this summer they be unveiling the first new original, which has the qualities and storyline to be her first monster hit. I think if you had seen more of Angelina recently you wouldn’t be as concerned about her direction now that she’s signed on with Republic records. We all wondered if Angelina would be made to fit into some commercially viable package. But her releases with Republic have been absolutely beautiful. We did not lose the essence of Angelina’s unique talents-and Republic has really stepped up to produce very classy videos-both musically and visually. Her recent cover of Whitney’s “I Have Nothing” or her spectacular “Suspicious Minds” exceeded expectations-which you agree are always very high for Angelina. You’ve just been away too long.

What Angelina is blessed with, that Jewel and so many of the young phenoms don’t have, is an incredible family surrounding her and guiding her who would walk through broken glass to protect her. Very insightful comments. This summer will tell us a lot about AJ's direction. First this single which is a brilliant piece of writing, production and performance. Next an EP is coming soon. Then a full album in the fall. I'm lucky to have a ticket for her first tourdate in September. If it is anything like her concerts in Norway last summer, I'm in for the musical experience of a lifetime! Judging by LDLMG I don't foresee any artistic compromises. It is doing well on RUclips and the streaming playlists with very little promotion by Republic so far. I truly believe AJ wants to "sing for the world" for arts sake and not merely for the pursuit of the dollars. She has touched so many at this young age and lives quite comfortably. The venue for her first tour date is beautiful for sharing music, not a football stadium. May she continue to fill concert halls with her expressive music and not be a ringleader of drunken spectacles like so many pop sensations today.

She has absorbed info from all the greats before her and has kept her own style and integrity.. when you ask other singers about their enfleunces they voice one or more, but Angelina does what a great artist is supposed to do, she's studied all the masters, going back from Louis Armstrong to most every current artists of any substance... that's why people hear traces of everyone..as far as grounded, she been trained for fame since she was 7. And now that she passing the test of a teenager with substance, she won't be swayed... I'm sure of it.

@@PrymalChaos She was signed by RR aged 14..These are some of the most influential people in the industry and they knew exactly what they had the chance of working with..she pretty much was able to write her own contract..as I’ve mentioned, full control of her own output..eg many of her collaborations with RR, using their back up, are released on her own channel and not RR’s..her family insisted she not be overly marketed till she completed her education..and she was signed as their “No1, Highest Priority Artist”..I’ve also read that much oh her work with Rob Christie is done at his private studio at his home with either mum Sarah Astar, or Grandma Mery Zamani or both in tow..She’s managed by her uncle Michael Astar who has history as a night club owner from memory..fun fact, she will be heavily involved in the contract side of things too..she could have been a maths prodigy had she chosen..more fun facts, she and her grandma make many of her outfits..she’s 6/ft or so and maybe it’s hard to find clothes she wants her size! Another important thing to know, she’s raised around £24 million for various charities..when you buy merch from her site she donates a meal to the homeless in LA..she hands them out herself without any publicity..she’s here for a purpose.

'I have to say if it wasn't for the unconditional love that came from Billie Holiday's
legendary music THERE WOULD NOT BE ANGELINA JORDAN TODAY'. Billie was an
uneducated, self taught singer who never had a mentor, but still became known as
'The Queen Of Jazz'. The emotion that comes forth from Angelina doesn't seem
possible for a young girl like her to do since she has never experienced the deep pain
that comes forth in heartfelt ballads, which would only be expected from an adult who
actually lived a troubled life. Once you understand that Billie drew her emotion from

I appreciate what you say about extremely high expectations/unfairly high. I believe Angelina does an awesome job singing and is constantly growing. I think most of her fans are supportive rather than holding her in high expectations, and we are so often surprised by how she continues to evolve and touch our hearts.
It is, in my opinion, her connection with that intangible Loving space that really sets her singing so deeply into hearers. As long as she comes from that Divine Loving space… we will all be touched by the beauty of her connection through her voice and actions.
Angelina May be a role model for a number of reasons. She may also be a role model for tall girls to not be embarrassed or awkward about being taller than most others, including boys.

When it comes to Angelina, I feel pretty confident that she will stay level headed throughout her career, despite the lurking dangers of the industry. There is just something very special with her, an unexplainable factor that just IS there.

When Angelina auditioned for Norway's got talent at 7 years old one of the lady judge's said "Angelina you are music". That statement was short and a perfect explanation to all the questions people (including myself) ponder of her seemingly infinite abilities with music.

Our Angel has arrived. This is almost (and maybe is) the perfect song for her debut. The video is great, the lyrics are beyond great, and then there’s her voice. I am really looking forward to the album.

@@markkleckner3060 For me, that's an original by Baby FuzZ, who wrote it, and by whom it was released initially. That there was an illegal copy leaked shortly before that, does not change that for me.
I find it also totally unnecesarry to spawn a controversey by denying Baby FuzZ the originality of his own self-written song. That's certainly nothing which would help Angelina's cause to "spread love and be kind to each other".

She doesn't do this all the time by any means. And 100% she has the ability to totally pronounce each syllable. But for a vibe like this, give me that warm blanket.... Huh-huh. And I love it.

She recently was a guest of Heidi Klum’s Germany’s Next Top Model and sang three songs. Trust me, she was in her element and sang those songs like I’ve never heard them before. I think she wanted to do a good job for her good friend Heidi. She not only sang beautifully but was the most beautiful model there! It’s on YT.

Agreed! Especially when an artist can be technically perfect, but they choose to play around with timing and pitch to create a vibe. That shows self confidence and experience. Another great singer like that is Haley Reinhardt.

Hi, yes this is an original written by her. in jazz singing the last consonants are often swallowed her style is self-created she calls it Jazz-Pop I'm really looking forward to her EP this month and her album in the fall. I haven't read anything about the world tour, but I hope so. Angelina is not talking about a person she is talking about the essence of love as she said " if love had a face " and another example is when Angelina said "if she could look into loves eyes there wouldn't be no place love could hide " and " if love had a heart she would make it beat for her " and finally " if love had a soul it is where her home would be ". Angelina is not talking about the love of a person, but rather love in it's purest unadulterated essence and form, "LOVE ITSELF". (Real love)!

For me she speaks Norwegian with very soft consonants compared to other Norwegians I heard interviewing her. I once heard she said that if there had not been Billie Holiday there would be no Angelina Jordan. Billie and Angelina both use their voice like a musical instrument. All the new album are origionals.
Angelina signed with Republic Records at 14 years old with conditions they she can finish college and can be left to flourish in her own way, Angelina has a close knit family her uncle is her manager and Angelina grandmother who is Angelina’s inspiration is involved with production and is supporting her in the studio, and two times Grammy Awards winner Rob Christie the musical director of Republic Records is featured on Angelina’s original songs as her pianist, No worries about this musical genius she is wrapped in a warm family blanket and a Record company that allows Angelina to produce and progress in her own way, great reaction thanks 🙏
Angelina said when she was 6 that she wanted to be a superstar, and she has worked very hard over the past decade to make that dream a reality. And if you follow iTunes, she has had songs and an album which consistently are in the top 10 of the iTunes jazz chart. By the way, her parents did deny access, but they in no way impeded her progress as an artist.
Your discussion of what happens to artist after they sign with a label is why she is with Republic Records, who have a two time Grammy winning producer managing her career, and if you look into Republic Records you will find that they control all the labels for the genres Angelina performs, and given what they have produced for her already, they are in with both feet and Angelina is at the wheel.

When her japanese grandfather knew he was dying, he told her, stay true to yourself and you will never regret what you do. Shortly after his dead, Angelina patented a new music genre "PopyJazz".
She is staying true to herself. And since age of 12 she is CEO of Angelina Jordan Inc..Monte Lipman, CEO of Republic Record himself talked with her family and, it seem they had a longer a talk about what she wanted, what he wanted. She said in an interview, that he offered her full freedom in her art and craft, and he kept his word about keeping her off the beat off presshounds etc..
This June she finishes definitely Highschool. releases a EP of originals, goes on a world tour and finally releases her album in late fall. She told this in a lifestream on May 6th 2023.
Angelina has not patented a music genre, that's a crazy rumour to spread around. Jazz pop or pop jazz has been around as a music genre way before Angelina, so it could not be patented, not even with a weird, new type of spelling.

Just read many of the comments below, so nothing to add other than loved your reaction to this most wonderfol song, just brilliant and of course unique!
I am probably one of the few (or one of her many fans) that has that greatest fear. Will she lose herself in the process of becoming a superstar? Will she stay grounded? I know I, as a big fan should trust in her. But we all know the history of some of the great singers in the past and what could happen. And so I am constantly feared at this time when she is blossoming into this great and phenomenal artist. Sometimes it just comes down to what friends she makes and what path she takes in her adulthood. That's why I am constantly feared about losing this Diamond. But I always pray 🙏🏻 for her not to lose herself. If she truly is what we (fans) all know she is (a very good person) God will protect her from the evil that can take hold of her.
I've got to mention too, to be in her teens right now, with all that's going on in the world and this generation is the worst, and that's putting it mildly. Can you even imagine what a challenge that is to stay strong and not lose yourself while surrounded by this generation, or it could only be just the media and what she watches on today's TV or internet. I don't want to get into anymore detail, but I'm constantly praying for her, because I believe she's a very good soul.

I think you are right... "lazy" isn't the right word but I think I get the concept - something you see in her diction too, often missing the last consonant sounds of words (as very much in her cover of You Say)... she "feels" the music and it is a very natural, organic thing... and quite brilliant in my view
