So if you are visiting Thailand within 10th May, then you have to just go through the immigration part only (no visa on arrival required). And in immigration for me they have not asked anything except my passport. (Although they didn't check, but as per rule you should have necessary documents during free visa travel also). But if you visit is after 10th May, then you may have to follow the procedure of visa on arrival where they may check each and everything including your flight tickets, cash and other documents. Hi, I am planning to travel Thailand in January and I have an ECR category passport. Per passport act, travelling to any country with ECR passport for tourism purpose does not require any additional procedure if you produce a valid passport, visa and return ticket. Since Thailand has visa on arrival facility, will I face any trouble at Indian airport since I won't be holding any visa on hand? Or should I apply for e-visa online before travelling?
For tourists entering Thialand generally there should not be any problem in VOA for ECR passport... But for your case you can just mail to the Thailand embassy and ask this query directly for double confirmation. They will reply to you in 24 to 48 working hours. And keep a printout of that reply mail for the safer side in case you are enquired in Indian or Thai immigration during your travel. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Generally they don't see any document in immigration (except your passport) until the visa is free for Indians. But don't take risks in immigration procedure. Better to keep a print copy of all necessary documents. Thank you 😊👍🏼
