Eagle Ray under Frankston Pier - 2 Feb 2025

Jumped under Frankston Pier for a quick dive to play with the GoPro settings.
Saw this Southern Eagle Ray. Not sure if it was eating, or had a hook or something stuck in its mouth. Didn't let me get close enough to find out.
Any thoughts?
Notice the fish following after the ray decides to move on....

I have seen a very large one over the other side of the bay many years back. It was missing its stinger - just majestic.
