HOW TO: FRONT BUMPER AIR VENT COVER REMOVAL | G30 5 SERIES BMW

Hey guys whats up!! I made this quick little video to show you guys on how to remove those air vent covers at the front bumper.

I think you will have to remove the bumper for that

Any help where to source those particular air vent covers? All I can find are the ones with outer "lip", but do not have the part that is actually part of the air duct.

Would it be the same for a 540i? also where do you get a replacement gloss black one, mine are faded and scratched up

The procedure to remove them might be the same. I have not seen a 540 in person before. But the “L” trim pieces might be slightly different. You can try finding the pieces on google or ebay.

@@_h3rcules_yea I think they are slightly different. Why are you removing them in the video? I want black or carbon fiber ones but I only come across the ones that are for 540’s. I don’t want to do paint or wrap but may have to

What were the tools you guys used to get the pieces off?

I only used a flat head screw driver. You just need to pry the small tabs to the side and someone else needs to pull the trim out

I think its slightly different with the bumper fog lights.

When fitting a new one, does it just clip in easily? Should I start with clipping the top side first, before the left side?

Yeah they clip on easy again.
