It's a sick car man a buddy of mine that passed away a while back was huge into Jaguars had an old v12 and everything was so fun to ride around with him sure do miss him though Love the videos man
I haven't had any issues with my vorteks yet. It is all completely stock. Even the punch is still set at the stock number. I think you may have got a lemon. But the factory hasn't been paying attention lately it seems like. They are just pumping them out. My big Rock diffs were shimmed on the wrong side straight from the factory. Needless to say my input gears didn't last long. And I never cracked into them when I first got the truck. You live and learn. I haven't cracked into my vorteks yet though. Do I guess I didn't learn. Lol 😂😂😂😂😂 Love the speed jump spot!!! 💯💯😉
I will say my vorteks is the only rc that I’ve had to go back through and tighten stuff on the first drive but after I tightened everything it’s a good car, plenty of power.
I've changed the the slipper clutch to the metal gear version in my Arrma Vorteks. I installed a Turnigy 3665-3190kV motor and a CC Copperhead 10 ESC in it. I took the Sidewinder 4 back out of it. The Vorteks is much too heavy to gear up for it. Previously, I replaced a couple of rear wing screws, front hub bearing mount, turnbuckle, and lower control arm. I had it out Bashing it two days ago at night and it did very well. It was enjoyable for the 1st time. Even though it is now 4S capable I'll probably never run it on 4S. It'll be a 3S only vehicle. I also put the 20T pinion it it and because of the electronics used, it hasn't overheated while bashing through grass or going up a hill. It used to overheat just on flat surfaces while juicing off of 3S. So far I'm satisfied. But look what I had to invest in. The Arrma Vorteks weighs in at 6.8 lbs. and the Maverick Quantum MT Flux weighs in at 5.3 lbs. Vorteks is more than a pound heavier and not as durable, in my opinion. I successfully replace the bearings in the stock 3200kV motor. I'm trying to think of what vehicle I have I can install it in as a upgrade along with the stock ESC. Or I might just sell it. I haven't made up my mind yet.
To get the car faster u could try this: turn transmitter off put the brake trim down than turn on the transmitter holding the trigger back and steering to the right the light wil start flashing bleu than put the trigger to full forward and turn brake up to the max than let the trigger go and turn of your transmitter all with the car off
Did I miss seeing how you resolved the power cutting out from the Vorteks esc ? Anyway, glad you did. Nice runs! Look forward to seeing what you get on the optional 20T pinion.
The vorteks I have had the wheels fall off. Three of them. There’s a screw that attaches the lower drive shaft. The all need locktite. First wheel came off, with the wheel nut and hex after 10 seconds. Look at the diagrams. That sounds like the issue I had too. Also see if the motor bolts are tight. They will loosen too.
Yeah when it comes to that car you get a lot of problems I found that out quickly I have blown the motor bearing and had to warranty the motor for the new upgraded bearing that was in it I have ripped apart axles I have stripped and blown up diffs so yeah not too fun at first until you put all steel differentials, slider axles and warranty the damn motor.... But the good part now after all the upgrades you really want to have fun put the granite tires on it makes a whole different ball game.
I should get myself a SkyRC GPS to test the speed on a couple of my RCs. I am curious about what the Kraton EXB does on 4s and 6s with a Mamba Monster X 8s system in it and also curious about the Losi 5ive T. I definitely don't do many, if any speed runs with my RCs. I actually only use my RCs on road for adjusting steering changes and to test newly installed electronics. Once those are setup, the RC rarely sees street use. I literally have no RCs set up for street use. I am considering getting a FG Sportline with a 26cc gas engine. That's not a definite purchase though.
@@rcguygarage I'm actually looking forward to seeing the UDR at the jump spot. I've not run mine in a few months after I burnt up the TP Power motor I put in it. I've just been a bit lazy to swap the stock motor back in.

@@rcguygarage covid isn't an excuse to make bad products. Funny enough, I've had really good experiences with traxxas products, but ive been dealing with the same arrma replacing part after part
Got more cons than pros that for sure… In the trash bag with the xmaxx ???

As soon as a possibility as I think this is what happened to my senton but I still have to check for the story and the timeline of this vehicle 👍💯

See something say something
🤣😂
Ok the vortex is 4 s giving you 3 s speed sad. Do me a favor fix the junk and run it again. See if it's still that slow . Beat it hard and see if it's worth the money .It's bad when something no good and you spend your hard earned money on it . Usually there is no fix for months.
Ps nice review I saw nothing to kill car lol some of your best driving 🤣 you usually flip a few times . Hard to do a video and drive and narate. 👍😅
So the Arrma spec for the vortex is 3s capable 🤫
