quite false....most of them are new or rebuilt, china had a lot of war during centuries, specially in shaanxi which had different leading nation and religion at different times, many of them involved to burn religious temple in mountain too... by example the dungan revolt of 1862-1877 had seen some 20million muslim of this region killed and deported^^, but famous battle and invasion date also from several thousand years too there...
Looking at those temples and pavilions on mountaintops makes me realize how small we are compared to nature, yet how great we are for conquering/adapting to it.
Magnificent. Love this views of Mount Huangshan, and that people are brave enough to walk up there. I could not, as l have the height disease. So l am more than grateful to be able to see these views safely. I love the Chinese landscapes, mountains, rivers, and the sea, as they are enchanting. Thank you.💯🇦🇺
What a video, & yes what feats the ancient Chinese achieved & the people maintain. Saw so much in this film others glossed over in their great films. The tram, suspension bridge systems, The caves, award nominated film!!!.
Jean-Philippe Bouchi-Lamontagne Hi! Well, now the video is back.😊 So strange! Perhaps It was a simply temporary bug on RUclips?! Well, anyway, I am happy for video is back and for you posting this link for the video. Thanks!! 😊😉 Hugs from Brazil P.S.: It would so cool If you'd came to Brazil and film our beautiful landscspes like Amazon Forest, Chapada Diamantina, Pantanal, Ilha Grande and others.😊😉
Have you seen 'Two Nineteen Forty Four' on Vimeo (not RUclips)? If you haven't then for better appreciation I suggest first watching '13 minutes of Brad and Jim's speed record on The Nose' on RUclips before watching Two Nineteen Forty Four. Both videos are of the same event on Yosemite's El Capitan but were captured independently. Even if you're not into rock climbing and such both of these videos are amazing, particularly 2-19-44.
That was really amazing footage! Music, too... I got to visit Huashan in 2014, but it was on the Chinese National holiday, so every step was painstaking... Since then, I have learned how it is essentially the heart of Taoism, so this video sort of ties it all together for me...
I loved the music. Mount Huashan is a mountain range, not owed by Taoism. Do not misunderstand me please, l have nothing against Taoism, but the Mountains belong to all. Thank you.
Hi, l have 3 Chinese DVD’s in Chinese with Eng subs each DVD has 5 disks, one DVD shows all the ancient magnificent famous mountains, one the ancient villages, used in Chinese c-drama series of China, and one cities and towns of China. I treasure these DVD’s as they show excellent without drones all places in China. I love this video here, l am only saying there are other excellent DVD’s about China’s landscapes, cities, villages, famous personalities and so on...Thank you.
amazing video I will climb tomorrow and Saturday. I've been to all the peaks before except the chess pavilion but your drone makes it look so much spectacular.
Mean Max Ancient Chinese built temples on the top of mountains where they believed is closest to God or heaven. Very challenging, but they did build lots of temples on mountain top every where in China.
Four of us visited Huashan mountain back in March of 2007 from Beijing while visiting Xi'an city. It was an experience I'll never forget. Yes we walked the plank walk. :)
Well, it would be brick-by-brick. Unlike us, the people there are very strong. When I was in Huangshan, I saw a very old porter with white wispy beard carrying loads at both ends of a bamboo pole racing pass us (half his age) up the mountain. Learnt that these porters do that daily making serveral trips bringing things up and down for a living. The climb was tough for us but the old porter was also playing a bamboo flute while climbing up with a heavy load.
So what.? Are you saying, Mount Huashan is owed by Taoist? I believe the mountain rages are free, are natural wonders for everyone, and any music. It is a video about the mountain, and it happens that there are some beautiful Taoist temples. Do you think Taoist do not like Buddhist chants? I am just saying. If you do not like the music, just switch it off.
Many said there are still some temples hidden in the mountain, and not accessible through the open path. Even in 21s, there are still many believing in the way to the immortal, to become the demi-god.

china history is dense of numerous dynasty religous and war, reason for build this so high was mainly for religious and safety purpose...most of these temple have been burned and destroyed and rebuilt several times not always by their creators.

Been there on 2012, is a hell of hike. took me 7 hours from bottom to the east peak. A life time experience.
In the not too distant future, you will be able to fly there in a drone.
