    Be still my heart. Two things I love; Cleveland heads and custom cross flow heads for straight 6's that didn't come with them. 😍

    Good evening Mrs Drag Boss

  • @AmericanThunder
    @AmericanThunder Месяц назад

    There have been several similar crossflow heads made for the 300 Ford six, even some more modern versions using LS heads. I never understood why the aftermarket didn't come around to support the 240/300s, as they can be built to outperform a lot of V8s. A D1ZE part number is a '71 4v Cleveland/CJ/351Boss head, as they only made Boss 302 in '69 and '70. (C9Z and D0Z)
    p.s. Check out the Frenchtown Flyer, he's been around for decades, drag racing 300s.

    The D1 head is the 1971 head. The heads used had to be Boss 351 heads because they only made 1 1971 boss 302 and my guess is it had 1970 heads on it?

    • @AmericanThunder
      @AmericanThunder Месяц назад

      Yes, any Boss 302, regardless if it was titled for 1971 for whatever reason, would still have C9 or D0 numbers.

      I would be more interested in a TFS 11R 205 CNC head for the 300, while we're asking. lol A 300 oem steel crank from a medium truck, stock rods(arp fasteners) and forged light pistons would support 650+ hp with a head like that on it, and be very streetable.

    Nice job, Mrs. and Mr. Dragboss. The informal conversation works well. It's like your neighbors stopped by and your getting them up to date. Thank you for inviting us in. I must say, I'm missing the Bossets though. The six-cylinder Cleveland Head is interesting. If I'm not mistaken it's a mix of D0 and D1 Boss 302 Heads as the casting numbers and filled water ports are apparent. Reminds me of Sizemore. Also nice to see Kitty coming along. Andrea, please relay to Mr. Dragboss look forward to his video with Bob Beach. Plenty of Automotive History and interest there, no matter your brand affiliation (and cool Tractors too!)
