Alyson Hannigan was originally offerred the role of Heather, but after reading the script wanted to play Michelle even though it was a smaller part. Michelle's "Say my name bitch" was ad-libbed by Alyson and the directors liked it so much that they kept it in the movie.
I'm a bit curious so I would love to see what she would've been like in that part, but between the two, I'm glad she played Michelle; Most fun character in the series (along with Jim's dad)!

I hope you guys continue with the series - American Pie 2, American Wedding and American Pie Reunion. There are other movies in the American Pie universe but those can be left out. The original 4 movies are all great with most of the same cast.
I had a female friend ask me why the young men in her workplace were referring to her as Stifler's mom, she hadn't seen American Pie so had no idea how similar she looked to the actress/character. I got her to watch the movie, she laughed.

And then a few years later, I'm in highschool, this movie comes out and I see him performing cunnilingus using a legendary manuscript. It was quite the 180. But besides him, I don't think I saw any of the other actors in anything else before this. Although did American Beauty come out before this? I think it did. In that case I also remember Mena Suvari. She did have the most iconic image from that film after all.
I saw this in the cinema on release, and to say that the audience was surprised by Alyson Hannigan at the end was an understatement. Most known for Blossom and Willow Rosenberg, this was definitely a different type of character for her. She played it so well though.

Without question the funniest film I ever saw at the cinema. My friends and I were in pieces the whole film. Absolutely brilliant. What gets lost some times as well is the film does have a good message at its heart.

Speaking of Shannon Elizabeth, she's excellent in 'Scary Movie'. Hope that and 'Not Another Teen Movie' are shown to Sam whenever you guys want to do a filler episode XD.
I love this movie. Part 2 is also fantastic. 3rd one not so much, but it's still worth a watch. Jim's dad is the absolute best. He steals every scene he is in. Warm apple pie baby!! lol

I was 14 when this was in theaters. I remember going to see it with my mom and little brother. We loved it and my mom spent the entire movie trying not to laugh at the jokes we barely understood.

Now you can't even drop the F bomb more than once before it automatically gets upgraded to Rated-R. (literally the rule) It use to take a LOT to get an R rating. Although, funny aside ; my friend's parents as a kid took us all to see Titanic and demanded a refund (after watching the whole thing) because of that scene since we were only like 12 years old haha. They were super prude.

Can’t put my finger on what it is, but I really enjoyed Samantha’s contributions to the post movie evaluation more than in some of your older videos. It’s worth checking out the sequels, American Reunion was written and directed by the _Cobra Kai_ creators/writers/directors. :) As I remember, 2 is quite good. Wedding is more of a 5/10 (for various reasons), and the aforementioned Reunion mostly gets things back on track.
The sound tracks are ALL amazing but they give me sad nostalgia. The first film was elementary school the second middle school the third high and reunion the end of my childhood forever.

Eugene Levy is my favorite character in the entire series. He is so consistently supportive throughout so many ridiculous incidents, trying so hard even though he's so obviously uncomfortable, embarrassed, or nervous.

I remember watching this in a theater when I around 16. So good laughs all through this one. This was basically like the Fast Times At Ridgemont High of the late 90s/early 2000s. If you guys haven't seen Fast Times..., it's another raunchy teen comedy classic, with a young Sean Penn. Both movies captured the awkward teenage high school experience rather well for both of their respective eras.
You guys should definitely watch American Pie 2, American Wedding (part 3), and American Reunion (part 4). They have most of the original cast members and continue the same storylines from the first film. Thanks for mentioning Evolution because that’s an awesome movie, but I have two suggestions for you if you’re going on a Sean William Scott kick and those are Bulletproof Monk and The Rundown, of the two I prefer Bulletproof Monk but both are fun and kinda campy.
My favorite scene (of a movie full of them) is when Michelle tells Jim about "the flute." Why? Because just like Jim, I was also taking a drink when she said it. And just like Jim, I nearly choked. 😂
I recognized there must be 2 different versions of the Apple pie scene. I just remember Jim naked with just holding the pie in front of his part "down there" when his dad rushes into the kitchen. Never saw him liying on the pie on the table 😂
Even after all these years, this is still hilarious to me. I remember we ran into the theatre kinda late to watch this, and I was just a young teen at the time, no idea what we were really in for, haha. It is still really funny, and has a great cast and soundtrack, but I definitely agree too that times have certainly changed a lot. Hope you guys keep going in this series though, the second one is also really good :)
I was a freshman in high school when this came out, but of course all my friends and I saw it anyway. I’ve watched it again a few times over the years and I’m always surprised at how funny a lot of it still is.

The best part about all this is the main guys were all kind of a mix of their group of friends and mainly one friend and their actual personalities. The special features for this were great actually.
I'll comment again. I definitely recommend doing all of the theatrical sequels!!! There's a few straight to video crappy movies that aren't worth anything.

My favorite scene (of a movie full of them) is when Michelle tells Jim about "the flute." Why? Because just like Jim, I was also taking a drink when she said it. And just like Jim, I nearly choked. 😂
The Rundown with Sean William Scott and The Rock was another great flick! One of my fav's of his!
Jim's dad is the best character in this series. And of course, Stifler's mom.
Always cool seeing my local high school getting love! Movie is based on East Grand Rapids HS. The hotdog place is called Yesterdog. Awesome movie 💯

I recognized there must be 2 different versions of the Apple pie scene. I just remember Jim naked with just holding the pie in front of his part "down there" when his dad rushes into the kitchen. Never saw him liying on the pie on the table 😂

Even after all these years, this is still hilarious to me. I remember we ran into the theatre kinda late to watch this, and I was just a young teen at the time, no idea what we were really in for, haha. It is still really funny, and has a great cast and soundtrack, but I definitely agree too that times have certainly changed a lot. Hope you guys keep going in this series though, the second one is also really good :)

This is actually the Unrated version. In the theatrical version Jim is using the pie while standing up in the corner.

I was a freshman in high school when this came out, but of course all my friends and I saw it anyway. I’ve watched it again a few times over the years and I’m always surprised at how funny a lot of it still is.
Jim's reaction was like that cause he did not expect Michelle to say what she said that is why he spat out what he was drinking at the party and l loved how how you think one thing in the classroom of what she says happened in band camp and says a completely different thing in the party which
American Pie 2 and 3 are excellent sequels and Role Models is underrated.
The best part about all this is the main guys were all kind of a mix of their group of friends and mainly one friend and their actual personalities. The special features for this were great actually.
I'll comment again. I definitely recommend doing all of the theatrical sequels!!! There's a few straight to video crappy movies that aren't worth anything.

Great reaction as always. This is the unrated version as well, for those who didn't know., Side note, I live near the inspiration for the film's setting, that being East Grand Rapids where the writer, Adam Herz, grew up.

Pun intended? 🤣 This movie was THE movie of my high school years... everyone quoted it nonstop for YEARS. I mean, coining the term "MILF" was absolutely massive.

I love the American Pie movies, they hold so much nostalgia for me, more so the first 3 movies and band camp, really enjoyed the reunion too
