- Yudachi was originally released in May 2020, and at the time was a very powerful DD With exceptional stealth, powerful torpedoes and a reload booster. But things have changed a lot in 3 years. Is Yudachi still as good as she used to be? The thing about Yudachi is, she has an extremely low HP pool, is slow in a straight line, has terrible AA protection, and a poor ability to deal damage with her guns. Yudachi relies on teammates for protection from other DDs, CVs, and most cruisers. But the torpedoes are powerful, and the reload booster can be devastating. She is available for 750,000 Global XP. Ah i remember the Yudachi update, dark times, dark times indeed, almost on par with the Jean Bart madness
Might have been powercreped a little, but still a powerhouse, the concealment make me hate her, back in days you could get it at like 4.4 or 4.5km and even now its not rare to see her below 5km
The buffs to concealment have been an improvement to the game I believe

My Friesland has 4.9km and hydros.

This is me checking in one year later during the dark ages of the hybrids lol I hate those freakin ships.
Just crossed over 2 million xp on Yudachi. This is an incredibly powerful ship in the right hands. Also there is another build but it's pretty evil.
You use the Japanese carrier commander for his fully packed legendary perk that gets you one extra consumable, which includes a torp reload booster 💀☠💀

I've had this ship since it first came out, and have played it less than a dozen times. I guess I got my fill of torpedo boating the first 2 years of the game.
Same here, looks like I had about 40 or so games before yesterday. Not my cup of tea
Its just useless now with all the radar and 5km concealment gunboats.

Try the gun boat setup,works better thse days with 17.5k hp and 5.6s reload guns.

I got excited to see her come back (she was before my time). Dont think she will replace the Loyang as my next gxp DD choice, but you never know.
P.S. Somers was my 1st t7 premium and the 1st campaign I intentionally tried to finish. So glad i did. Somers is a great dd, especially with Mordoff.

those „short“ range torps sound interesting i always preferred them on Shimakaze
They're fast AF, 7km, 80 knots. I just miss the range too much. You can give up Perceptive for torp safari, and run Gleaves instead of Atago. Still a good build
Still is my most used ship and the one where i put the torpedo epic mod. There are do much DD IJN commanders, you can do pretty much whatever you want with this ship...
Btw, i think she and Hayate will only be available in the store from the 24th forward, when golden week gets here.

If you take into consideration that Yudachi is at base, a premium up tiered version of the tech tree tier VI Shiratsuyu alt DD line of the Japanese her mediocre stats make sense in the gun and AA department.
Her stealth and torpedo characteristics are respectable although I will agree that now there is so many counters to her she isn't "as terrifying" as she used to be in my thoughts but overall is still a good boat.
just got the Yudachi in a container with a 10pt captain this DD is BadA$$.

All I know is Friesland tears her up. I strike fear into all IJN ships with the Friesland and you can see them panic when I get close

All pan euros rip it to pieces and have the same concealment. Everything else just shreds it easy wit not much worse concealment.
@@TheLiamis I play 80% Fletcher these days and the only chance they have is titling me before I can get 4 or 5 salvos off.
Funny how i almost wanted to skip Somers and ZF-6 since i am not a dd main but had doubloons so went for them. Boy i am lucky with somers. i love the ship and ZF-6 is so much better now and so much fun

I still think the short range torps are the way to go. Usually faster torps come with a larger detection but yudachi doesn’t get that penalty when you slot the screamers. You can slot torpedo safari and still get a pretty decent range around 8.1 or so which is more than enough generally and the extra 10-15 seconds added to the reload isn’t a big deal when they feel more effective
To each their own, I've ran that build and even threw Gleaves on. I just prefer the 10km torps, Perceptive, and Atago. That's the cool thing about Legends, you can tweak builds on preference

Scariest dd to come across when playing a dd in t7 for me personally is Friesland, so that’s where my gxp will go next

Fantasque used to be amazing but now the nerfed torps have made her pretty much useless.
With a 2nd reload booster I think Le Fantasque is pretty fun! Made a recent video on French DDs

Gunboats have same concealment, No hp, bad guns, no.AA and meh torps. It's a fish in a barrel now.
