Brilliant work! My compliments on the beautiful fine work. I am 5 years into mine, having spent almost all my time on knife making. I am now retired and will work full time on my Victory. Will start posting series of photos soon.
Your dedication and craftsmanship is absolutely wonderful .To take the time you did to complete her is a compliment to you ,Lord Nelson and Victory as well , congratulations.
May I ask how you handle the walnut. I’ve been trying to use air dried walnut for a ship model, but I find that it’s coarse grained and brittle, not like yours. How do you go about selecting it and treating it?
I wonder, did you feel overwhelmed at the thought of how much you had to do all the time since starting? My best friend has Aspergers and it is a curse upon him regarding his interests. He is sunk under the massive commitment that he feels compelled to continue to undertake. I wonder if you have felt the same weight of pressure?
Absolutely insane detail !
I’m just in awe of what you have done here

A stunningly beautiful and superb exaample of this much modelled (and often unfinished) ship.

Absolutely superb. The love for the subject shows through at every turn. Confirmed my choice to build mine with bare poles.
stunning work! I liked the natural wood finish which only emphasises the detailed craftsmanship and all scratched built! Regards from Tasmania.
The style looks like a Corel design. Great work!

Nelson at the start: Hand-in-coat for reason like Napoleon, or was it a captain/admiral thing?
Looks like kevin does not respond to any one praising his work? So i say i built montane's 1:70. And it turned out just as fine
That is some awesome carpentry work there. But where can I order this kit?
