Beautiful under the daylight as I could met her, Amazing on Stage as YOU can Enjoy, this is a tribute to her first visit in Chile, I wanted to see her and SUDDENLY in front of me like MAGIC was her beautiful presence, with her husband JohnEasterling they both crossing the street nearby a Sunday afternoon before the day of the Concert, I took my Camera I crossed the street really soon before they go, and asked them for a picture, as they did her husband took the second photo. ENJOY THE SHOW TOMORROW!! was Olivia's last words as she said goodbye to me after 2 PhotoShots,

TOTALLY AGREE, I still have the cassette of the album, since 1985. LOVE this track, back then it seemed so NOT Olivia, which made it all that much better.
Amen Brothers (both comments) combination of a great song with the pefect singer for the song. Adult contemporary sultry jazz for all time. This live verson is soooo awesome...I love when the oh oh oh's start and Olivia moves close to the backup singers and the singer behind her grins big because she knows Olivia is about to throw in a special live suprise!!! and then the sexy sigh...DYNOMITE!!!!

It was big enough that at 14 I heard it enough to buy the album & know in the video she was pregnant with Chloe & Matt was in the video of it too. Xx

A couple of things, Chile is a place many performers play. They love pop and rock and will fill stadiums to see the artists. They just filled The Huge Arena in Santiago with a concert of Samantha Fox, Debbie Gibson and Rick Astley for example. That would not happen in 2014 in the U.S.
Olivia sings 100% live. The only time lip synching was shows like Solid Gold and Top of Pops type tv shows where u had no choice. I love Soul Kiss and this live version is a gem. Thank you.

Can't believe she waited soooooo long before performing this song. I know it was the beginning of the end of her commercial career, but I don't think the song (or the album) were to blame... She'd had an untypically long run on the charts at that point, and unfortunately it was sort of inevitable that her good fortunes would start to wane. However, she's remained creatively viable ever since, which is even more impressive !
I think (?) it was partly due to Madonna being on the music scene, had nothing to do with Olivia herself, but at the same time, it was an unexpected, new side of Olivia noone had seen before then, which may have shaken, rattled some of her fans, with "Soul Kiss" being so risque at the time ... but, nowadays, it's every bit as popular as ever
@@dannygillingham7904 you are rite. It was Madonna who had blocked everyone from the top. As soon as she emerged ,every other performer, including Olivia, took a back seat, which should never have happened. Olivia should still have been as successful at that point in her career, up to this day.
First time I got an Olivia concert video I thought, "No one can sing this perfectly this long; it had to be prerecorded." But I was wrong. I talked to one of her singers and was told everything absolutely was live, no post-dubbing even. She is just one of those singers who is able to get it right. This was her naughtiest song I think and the album was a trainwreck, but an exciting trainwreck.

creo que la principal razon por la que Olivia Cantó esta canción esa noche, fue porque antes tuvo una entrevista donde le contaron que esta canción habia sido un hit en Chile... si no hubiera tenido esa entrevista, tal vez esto nunca habria pasado... cuando debbie Gibson vino a Chile el 2014, le preguntaron después del show porque no incluyo más repertorio de sus 2 primeros discos, y su respuesta fue que ella no sabia que los demás singles habian sonado en Chile... increible

After seeing my Livvy at the Dallas Symphony and at he Frank Erwin Center ,she has hardly eevr sang this song in any of her concerts.This is the first i am hearing her sing it live and in 2010 for that matter.Too much horns and loud for her vocals ...they are overpowering her voice here .
