If they get sacrificed or something it'd explain Mary turning antagonistic in Kakegurui main when she was first introduced. Maybe Kirari, Sachiko or Aoi slowly broke her spirit by eradicating her friends. There's an episode shown Mary holding Tsuzura's hairclip while inside the den they used to occupy with Yukimi, I believe that was after Kirari tried making her join the SC. I think whatever they put Mary and her friends in Kakegurui Twin really caused her pain and have distrust.
