    • @dudeonbike800
      @dudeonbike800 2 года назад +3

      Relatives often try, but their efforts can be easily thwarted by the elderly driver or other family members. I know one such situation where a guy wanted his mom to stop driving. His sibling wasn't toeing the line, offered no help, so she kept driving. Then it got worse and they appealed to another relative physician for help. That person dropped the ball. Then they put a Club on the steering wheel, Mom called a locksmith and had it removed. Finally, they just took away the car and it was solved, but not without much delay and infighting.
      And this is EXACTLY why the onus officially falls on primary care physicians. If they have a driving patient that's showing signs of incapacity, they are REQUIRED to perform a cognitive test and report to the DMV. This is a good solution, because it puts the decision in objective, professional hands, so you don't have the familial infighting and delay that prevents taking the license & keys from someone who shouldn't be driving.

      How tall is she and how long are her legs? Those cars are build for a large man driving them unless you get the pedals adjusted permanently. My prof. always drove a Lincoln Mk. 4, new every three years, so welders went to work adjusting the gas and brake pedals. He's five foot nothing. you need to drive a car that FITS your physical stature for beginners. I recommend Asian gal friends to stay away from Mercedes in downtown driving: a BMW "fits" their physique and you cna't see out of the back window of a Mercedes. It' meant for highway road travel, not downtown park and park again.

      @@Dwightstjohn-fo8ki I am so glad that someone on this page has knowledge of this. When I saw the tape I knew what happened and it is horrible. Those cars have a lot of power and not everyone can handle them in certain situations. I am 5 ft, and can not easily handle certain vehicles. Taking my foot from the gas to the brake takes longer so I drive with 2 feet. This was a tragedy and God Bless everyone. Everyone is wanting her yo go to jail, and that's messed up. How does driving a Bentley make one a bad person?

      1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
      Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
      John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
      Matthew 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
      Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
      Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
