I am surprised someone recommended this MV to you because as baby Armies I think you found it difficult to understand everything although you made a very good effort. The whole video from start to finish is full of references to their previous MVs during the almost ten years they've been together. The truck, the bus, the railway car, the train, all reference previous songs; the piano, the butterfly, the merry-go-round (carousel), the rose, the costumes each member wears, the gestures they make, the sand, the statue, the sound of the ocean - all reference previous songs and everything is very meaningful because it is a message from BTS to Army that although they are ending one chapter the best is yet to come. As you react to more videos, if you bear this one in mind, you may pick up some of the references. Maybe even watch this one again once you have viewed a good number of BTS MVs 💜💜💜💜💜💜
I agree it would be quite difficult for a new fan to really understand all the references featured in this MV. This is both a reminder and a promise of BTS to ARMYs; a reminder of the years shared with their fans, a walk through memory of all the best and most iconic moments in their career as well as a promise that "they will be back better than ever." This song was released just a few days before they announced their phase 2 or what many now know as the "hiatus" from group activities as they concentrate more on their individual projects and make preparations for their enlistment in the military.
the mv is reminiscing on their path, so there are a lot of references to their previous works 1:20 - jk's gesture is a reference to their BU (Bangtan Universe aka fictional storyline in some of their mvs) video named The Prologue 1:25 - their formation is a reference to the Just One Day choreo 1:55 - reference to the same track riding on the beach in The Prologue again 2:00 - the jacket is very similar to jackets in the Blood Sweat & Tears and DNA mvs, while the hand movement is his ending pose in the Fake Love 2:03 - this reminds me of one shot in the Highlight Reels which is another video connected to the BU. i don't think YTC is part of the BU though, it's not marked as one, they just reminisce about their path 2:05 - the school uniform and the rose is a reference to the Boy in Luv mv. rose also appeared in the Persona album concept photos and Tae's solo Singularity mv 2:30 - sitting on top of the track reminded be of Euphoria mv 2:33 - the carousel is an obvious reference to the Spring Day as well as the dynamic of the shot - it's a complete recreation 2:49 - the statue is a reference to Blood Sweat & Tears 2:54 - shoes are a reference to Spring Day. Jimin's outfit is also very similar to his outfit in Spring Day mv 3:00 - Jimin reaching for the sky is a reference to the Lie short film maybe. same movement was also in the Black Swan choreo and ON mv 3:01 - purple butterfly: so purple is color that represents the love and trust between bts and army and overall is out color, while butterfly is a constant symbol in BTS artistry just like the whale. it's was the most prominent during the HYYH era. there's a song called Butterfly too 3:05 - the rich flowers is a reference to the Stay Gold mv possibly, while the piano is also a constant symbol in BTS artistry, more often than not connected to Suga and representing the music. his outfit is similar to one in Was of hormone mv as well as in concept photos for Young Forever album 3:13 - the container is connected to the BU ans starred in The Prologue, I Need U mv, Run mv, Fake Love mv, maybe some more lol hard to keep track of. jeen outfit is similar to the one from Fake Love mv 3:15 - dead trees remind me of ON mv 3:23 - train is a reference to Spring Day mv. Hobi's outfit is similar to the one in the Highlight Reels video 3:34 - the shot is similar to the polaroid photo from the Run mv and The Prologue video 3:48 - this shot of Jimin is the recreation of Spring Day mv, but the hand gesture is also similar to DNA mv 3:55 - this is recreation of Blood Sweat & Tears, but Jin and Tae switched places 3:57 - the bus is similar to one from their debut mv No More Dream 4:04 - this shot is reminiscent of Young Forever mv 4:06 - Jungkook running up the hill reminds me of ON mv 4:12 - Jungkook walking on the top of the bus reminded me of two things: him sitting on top of the truck in Permission to Dance and him waking on the parapet in I Need U mv 4:37 - him with outstretched arms was in the Euphoria mv 4:38 - tae gesture is recreation of Spring Day mv 4:50 - the following ending scene is recreation of Spring Day scene in the train 5:18 - i saw someone said this reminded them of "joon's quote about the members all travelling on the same boat but looking in different directions"
Well I mean they should have a chance to actually get into their content a little more and then come back to watch the video later, before you spoil every single reference 😅 (But I guess its too late now🤐). Its nice when baby army's come back later so they can then understand for themselves on this journey y'know 🙄
Proof Album is their Anthology album and this MV includes a lot of references from their other MVs such as SpringDay (carousel, shoes) No More Dream (bus) The angel (Blood Sweat & Tears) etc... its the end of their Chapter 1 and the best is Yet to Come (their growth, individual path and maturing as artist and individuals and doing what they love)
Lord, you were made to be ARMY. Every BTS song has a subtext and invites those who wish to into a world of deep meaning and feelings. Others have already explained that this song references moments from BTS' vivid history, each of which carries immense meaning for ARMY. I was struck, though, by how immediately you seemed to recognise how KPop as a genre is multi-facetted, and every image, design, and even costume, every shot is specifically structured to work not as a lyric, tune or a song alone, but as a whole creature. Very few western commenters really seem to understand this, but you have realised this apparently by instinct. Welcome home.
We are musicians. That is actually how true artistry is. Industries and profit are just businesses. The artistry is always artistry. Watch as early as skip james and the imagery used in his songs. Nina Simone - strange fruit, gustav holst - the planets, dead letter circus, hotemps, invicta sooooo many decades and genres and songs across countries and spaces of time. All with stories and connections throughout the history of humanity. We are all connected. We just divide ourselves by language, country, pride, anger, or fear. We ignore how duality of humankind is that we are individuals but equally alike as we are different.
@@MixItUpPodcast Yes. In our individuality lies our connection, and arti s meant to work on many levels, and and move people sometimes in a subliminal way. But to fully appreciate such art a person needs to be open to receive it, and sometimes that means to be open to themselves - which is sometimes painful. I am not and never have been "musical", and now that I am getting more and more deaf I suspect that many subtleties of music is lost to me, but have always been an artist and a counsellor. The best art gives more than one element, and I agree, there is a truth to it that is always present.
This is a surprise to request this one. The MV speaks directly to ARMY with the clothes, movements, gestures all showing moments from past MVs. Not sure this is a good choice for baby ARMYs. I will listen to your breakdown now and see what you got from it 💜 Good breakdown considering huou wouldn't get all the references. I'm impressed! I love your honesty, who doesn't want to make money doing what they enjoy!
Thank you for taking the time to watch us. We backline a lot of these episodes. This request was from a young lady who said she just didnt want to wait to see what we thought of it. I think she wanted to see if we could find resonance with it. Thank you for watching again!
After you've watched many more videos of BTS, you could come back to this one and then you'll be able to notice a lot of things. This MV literally showcases a summary of BTS history. I'll give you just three examples: 1) In their first ever MV they were driving a bus and then got out of it. And in this MV they end inside the bus, just back to their very beginnings (The song is "No More Dream" in case you want to check it out) . 2) You can find the rusty carrousel in the MV from a song called "Spring Day". 3) In the MV of " Blood, Sweat and Tears" Taehyung/V covers Jin's eyes, but in this MV is Jin who covers Taehyung/V's eyes. And the piano plays an important role in many of their MVs, specially in relation to YoonGi/Suga. For long-time Armys, this MV is full of meaning and memories from BTS' journey.
desert with sea sounds is a reference to their hidden song Sea from 2017 (means it was only released on physical albums for army) "This place that I thought was the *sea* was actually a *desert* and our second name was “idols from a small agency with no connections” We were cut from broadcast countless times To fill in for someone was our dream Some said we won’t be able to make it big because we’re from a small company I know I know I know as well The days when seven of us tried to sleep in one room The faith we had before falling asleep that tomorrow would be different The mirage of a *desert* Though I could see its form, I couldn’t grasp it I prayed that we would survive in this *desert* that felt endless I prayed that it wasn’t reality Eventually the mirage was caught by us and became reality, and the *desert* we feared got filled with our blood, sweat, and tears to become the *sea* But what are these fears among all this happiness? We know too well that this place was originally a *desert* I don’t want to cry, I don’t want to rest (No, how about resting just for a bit) (No no no) I don’t want to lose, this was originally a *desert* (Well, then we have to run) (Well, we have to cry more)" Sea lyrics say "the mirage in the desert, though I could see its form, I couldn’t grasp it" 3:57 Tae trying to make out what's on the horizon and then the shining appearance of their school bus from No More Dream for me looks a lot like a mirage in the desert. if you saw one you know how it sparkles their path so far was both incredible and very hard. they were hungry, they were hated, they were lost at some time. something they've been looking for for years to ground them, the answer to their future lays is in their passion and their values. just like they've started all this to raise their voices and to protect those who needed it. "it's back to square one after making one long turn. back to one"
@@smartydejavu9269 yup! Thats very surprising because its feel like only mv can understand the mv. So, its feel like grammy voters have come to know more about bts music
It was shot in the US when they had their concert there in Las Vegas...I believe it was a dessert somewhere near Las Vegas and it was the filming location of the movie Dune...
They halted group releases till 2025, due to mandatory military service. This song is a promise to ARMY that they will come back as a group again and their best moment is yet to come. The song is a part of their anthology album and every single detail like the props, their attire, simple body movements links to an old song of theirs.
That ending on the bus always makes me tear up. After going through the nostalgia of the video/song references, the calm on the bus, in old school seating arrangements, really hits me. It also makes me look forward to what the guys will come back with in 2025.
This is the closing song of BTS Chapter 1 & at the same time the opening song of BTS Chapter 2. 10 years down... Hopefully 10 more years to come and more, either as group or even solos in the future.
The song is like an anthology song. The album they released most recently is a compilation of songs from the beginning of their careers to current. They said it's like an introduction to BTS in case you didn't already know them.
This whole music video is basically a one big reference to their previous music videos/songs, and that includes even small details like the hand gesture Jimin did for example @ 3:49. Lyrics + MV is like a journey of their career, it ends with a schoolbus scene, which is the same schoolbus from their debut music video :) There are many of these, but you won't notice anything (yet). This was a sort of a "goodbye" song as it was their last release before going on hiatus as a group for various reasons, mainly military service and solo careers. It's very important for the fans and has deep meaning, but listening to it and watching it as just yet another song/MV, it won't matter much to you (because of all the references you won't get).
That song is to wrap up their first chapter of their career. They had to stop for two years as a group and come back in two years. They say “my best is what come next”, referring to their solo careers that they are prioritizing while they do their military duty
This MV is about reminiscing over their history with props from previous MVs but mostly this is a love song to ARMYs. People lost their ever-loving minds when they announced they were putting group projects on hold in June 13, 2022 during their anniversary celebration, but instead would be doing solo projects. Of course that didn't hold as they did an additional concert in Busan for free and they recorded more Run episodes. Now they are rotating into mandatory military service for a couple of years before they will resume their group activities. We have had 2 full studio albums released (JHope's and RM's) a single by Jin, and now Jimin's solo album will be out in February. I am glad you enjoyed this video.
If you have watched all their MV you will understand that the yellow bus is the begining of their journey it is in the no more dream mv. The statue is at blood sweat and tears mv the carousel is at the spring day MV and the train too. The cargo van is at run. This yet to come mv is the journey that they have made since 2013 to 2022. It is a part of their proof antology album
Yes, as others have said.. all the things in the video (the bus, truck, rose, stone angel, rusted playground apparatus, train, shipping container, piano) reference other videos along their journey from their past until now.
Their very first music video No More Dream from 2013 began with them on a school bus and now their first chapter ends with them back on the school bus.
probs were physical, same from previous mvs or a remake. they included them later in their stage setup for the Busan concert in 2022 in general there are a lot of situations when people who watch their mv for the first time guess that this or that was done on a green screen or digitally, when it wasn't :) *though* there's no strict principle for hybe to not use cgi. they do it when they need it, but when they can make a practical set or props they always go for it. I can give many examples for both: Idol was filmed with a loooot of cgi because it was on purpose to exaggerate it after they've been criticized for using it, ON used cgi in a collaboration with cinema level production companies, Dynamite used cgi because the weather was bad and they had to change plans. ofc they will also use it for smaller parts as transitions or textures like in Dope. but then let's mention the other side of the convo: Boy With Luv where the building facade was built just for the mv, Fake Love where all sets were practical AND mindblowing, Stay Gold where they made an artificial forest, Mic Drop where they've set everything on fire for real and many many more
This MV is like a promise of Bangtan to ARMY that they will comeback. It was released before the FESTA (anniversary celebration) and after that they announced that they will be focusing more on solo activities (as a preparation for the enlistment), together with FOR YOUTH, this is their assurance to ARMY that after everything, they will still comeback as they were not done yet. As this was released in their Anthology album PROOF, it sums up the history of BTS for the past decade. Clothes, props, gestures, movements, their positions, even the panning of the camera every piece of it is derived from their pasts MVs or concept on the previous albums. Even the location, it is a reference to their song SEA, that’s why you are hearing the ocean waves at the beginning and ending of the song. After you watched their past MVs, comeback to this and you will have a great time pin pointing all the references. This MV is like their We are Bulletproof: The Eternal that they release back before FESTA 2020, an animated MV that also portrays their hardships for the past 7 yrs and how ARMYs helped them overcome and succeed on those hardships. it references all their MVs from the beginning of their career up to that point in time. So if you want to be able to point out the references you need to put it aside first and watch all their old MVs from 2013. Hope you are enjoying your journey.
Thank you for appreciating this very touching song. This is BTS' moving love letter and promise to A.R.M.Y. Also the music video is a beautiful homage to all their discography / albums and their 10 year music journey - hence their Proof anthology album - a tangible compilation of their history since 2013. BTS chose the songs in disc 2 and disc 3 even has raw / original vocal guides of their title tracks. It is an incredible album. The music video highlights scenes from their music videos like No More Dream (the school bus), Just One Day, Spring Day (carousel), Blood Sweat & Tears (angel statue), Stay Gold (Suga's scene), Butterfly, RM's scene from I Need You etcetc Lyrics have such depth. BTS saying they are not about awards, accolades, charts etc Instead they are all about dream, hope and going forward. Their best is yet to come - Chapter 2 in the BTS story. For sure, A.R.M.Y will add more explanations.
I think it's impressive that, although you don't know what the props in the MV refer to, you figured out that they point to different moments of their lives. Most people new to BTS who reacted to this are usually just confused. If you're interested, there are videos that show you where each prop comes from, comparing each scene with related scenes in other MVs. This song is from their anthology album "Proof", which was released around their 9th anniversary, looking back to their career and looking forward to the future, which is solo work and mandatory military service and their eventual comeback. Since then, three members have released official solo work: J-hope with "Jack in the Box" (album), Jin with "The Astronaut" (single), and RM with "Indigo" (album). All of them are amazing, high-quality work that show off their individual colors. We're excited for the albums from the rest of the members this year
I'm 65+. My BTS anniversary is coming up. On February 24, 2020 I turned on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He introduced BTS. I had never heard of them. They performed at Grand Central Station in New York City. I was overwhelmed at their performance of "On"...which is short for "bring the pain on". Coming from a Musical Theatre background and being a choreograper I KNEW what it took to pull off that performance. I KNEW it was the best choreography of any group ever ! I immediately got on "RUclips" to find out more about them. From that day forward I have been consuming "BTS" content every day. I randomly picked songs to watch. Then I discovered their beginning story and was fascinated. I also discovered their TV show, "RunBTS". It's unrelated to their latest song by the same name. Or their song "Run". The first episodes are short. So you can watch a few at a time. Then they get longer and better. It's a great way to get to know the members and their personalities. They are highly competitive at the games they play. And best of all you will laugh...I promise you...every time. They are crazy, silly, funny, looney, and real comedians! Start watching 1 a week. There are over 200 of them! They did about 165 of them. Took a break. Then started back up. If you want your subscribers to increase. You want to make money... concentrate on BTS. You have no idea how much is out there. SOME TRIVIA. "ON" was never performed before a live audience after their debut on the Jimmy Fallon show. Covid hit. Their world wide tour was cancelled. But they vowed if ever they got to perform a concert again "On" would be their first song. And when they finally performed in L.A. and Las Vegas that's exactly what they did. They filmed a Kinetic Manifesto version of "On" outside in CA. They also performed a mini movie version. It's highly ethereal and a bit confusing, however the production value and cinematography are Stunningly Exquisite! Please Watch "On" in NYC. It's one of my favorites!
Let's all cry. This is the song they used to tell us, 'time's up; we have to start going to the real army.' Most of the things are like little easter eggs for fans cause they reference videos from their debut up until now.
One of my favorite things about BTS MVs and songs is how many different ways one can interpret it & how many layers there are. RM especially is very good at writing multi-layered lyrics. Lumpens (the company/person who does a lot of BTS’s MVs) is extremely good at telling many different stories with the same imagery. I love hearing other people’s interpretations, which is why I love watching reaction videos! 😊
The "props" that were used in this video, will be seen in their previous videos. Enjoy watching their MVs and you will be able to see those "symbolic" props there. Enjoy the BTS journey.
@MK5 Studios, this particular video was a collage of all of their past music videos you’ll see insert different objects that only season BTS ARMYs will identify with and recognize in the music video. When you do some more of their older music videos then you can reference back to this music video and say yes that is what this means?😊 I’m not going to tell you exactly what everything means I’d like you to find out organically by going through the other music videos and then you’ll be able to see what we see as BTS ARMYs!💜🙏🏼 Nice reaction👍
This song is so special to us ARMYs since they said that this is a promise song of bts to armys after they announce that they’ll take a break as a group. The MV props are taken from their past MVs. The bus is used in BTS’ very first MV
70 year old Army here. Obviously this song will only make sense to Army. All the symbolism from their past MVs from the beginning with the school bus. It is a love song for Army. In the live version of three songs - Proof Live with Anderson .Paak, this is one of the three songs. "Born Singer", " Yet to Come", and "For Youth" which is another love letter to Army. This is all right before they took their indefinite length break to do solo work and address their mandatory military service and come back together in 2025. That is their ultimate plan. Hence, the best is yet to come.
The carousel is a real item that was featured in a previous music video. They've also used it on stage at a concert as a part of the stage set. I have no idea how they got it on the stage along with the other items they got on there but shout out to their team.
Its actually an ode to their old videos throughout their 10year journey. But i really love you interpretation and appreciation of the MV. Thank you for that. More video reactions please. 💜💜💜💜
BTS fist debut MV was coming out from a school bus "No More Dream", then walk through most of their MV's highlights, then back to the school bus again to wrap up ch.1. Then sent a message to ARMY that when they come back they will be even better. They are in desert but you can hear sea voice, (they are watered by ARMY even they are in desert). No More Dream (no need to dream anymore, just set a new goal and walk through it....with ARMY). If you know Japanese Manga, they are just like One Peice (V's favorite one, also RM mentioned it in Cypher 2), members go individual projects (find a way to level up) and then gathered again after 2years and become even stronger.
It’d be great if ya’ll make a point, one day, to watch ALL BTS MVs in order to try and follow the time travel storylines running through them.😊I hop you then come back & re-watch this MV. I’m sorry someone suggested that ya’ll react to this because it’s meant to represent and reminisce 10 years of a journey between BTS & ARMY with the props & choreography coming from projects of the past.
Many people complained about the humble set, but I consider the desert as the core of the video. BTS has a hidden track called Ocean, and the desert here reminds me of how they have grown in the desert and turned the desert into ocean with ARMY. And now when they become the top famous and successful band and being under great pressure from the society and HYBE, they recall their start and want to explore next chapter from the desert again.
First off, u asked where this was filmed. Well, u were correct, it was a desert. Back in April of last year, BTS was nominated for a Grammy and also invited to perform. Now they did come out to the U.S. to perform, but they also decided to have 4 concerts. All four of them were held on two weekends in April at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the same place where the Grammys were held. And between the Grammys, the concerts, and other schedules that they had, BTS was in Vegas for almost a month. And they took over the strip. It was amazing. The reason I am giving this info is that one of those schedules I was talking about was a video shoot for "Yet To Come." They filmed it about 30 for 45 minutes south of Las Vegas, before you hit the border with California. We have these Sand Dunes that ppl love to ATV on. Well, that's the spot where they filmed this. In one scene, it looks CGIed, V looks like he standing in a sandstorm. It wasn't CGI. On the days they filmed the video, we had one of the biggest windstorms we have had in years...some winds were more than 75 m.p.h. and V stood in the middle of it to get the shot...it was very dangerous on his part, but he wanted to get the shot. As for the breakdown of the lyrics and video. For those fresh to BTS and ARMY, yes they could be taken the way you explained it. To those who have been ARMY for a while...it was for us. There are so many Easter Eggs in this video from other videos, it's hard to count them all..and it started from the very beginning when they are sitting in the chairs in all white. They have a song called "Just One Day," and in that video they are sitting exactly in the same positions in all white. To the very end on the bus. The Bus is from their very first video, "No More Dream." And they way they were sitting on the bus, to the movements, that was from another song called "Spring Day." There isn't a scene where they isn't an Easter egg in it...all the scenes have something from a past video...its a truly amazing video....and there isn't a ARMY out there that didn't cry when they first saw it, or when they see it now...thanks for reacting to this one guys..
So much to unpacked about the visual aspect! You got it right each object relates to a specific member and that appeared in previous music videos and it's wrapping up their 10th year of career and chapter 1. *sitting in chairs- reference to their song Just One Day *Desk and school uniform- Boy in Luv *carrousel/ shoes/ train- Spring Day *angel- Blood, sweat and Tears *container- Run *piano- First Love *school bus- No Moee Dream (their 1st official song and music video releqsed back in 2013 where they get off that school bus and now they go back in and they sit the same as in a scene of Spring Day) And almost every frame every move they make is similar to a past video! I think it'd be easier to watch an explanation or video breakdown! 😅 It's been nominated for the Grammys under best music video this year.. let's see!!! Thx for the reaction
This video was shot in Nevada, while they were in Las Vegas for the Grammy’s and their Permission to Dance Concerts in Vegas. In fact some of their filming was delayed because on the first day of the shoot there was a sand storm. (Which I got caught in, driving home after being lucky enough to get tickets to their second day of concerts.)
In this MV you can see a lot of refrerences from their old MV's. They even replicate or recreate some of their iconic scenes from old MV's like Sitting arrangement in the opening replicates their arrangemet in Just One Day MV Bus from No More Dreams MV Carousel, train, Jimin picking up the shoes, seating arrangement inside the bus from Spring Day MV Container van, truck & gas tank (something) from Run MV Statue from Blood Sweat & Tears MV and a lot more in which Exceleste channel explains all the other references. Thanks for reacting to BTS
Nothing is ever random with BTS's videos lol. I believe ALL the props that appeared have been in other videos of theirs so they all have a lot of meanings. Thanks for the review.
I'm binging your BTS reactions if you can't tell by my trail of comments 🤣🤣. Anyway, just wanted to say it's so impressive to me that even without knowing the context in which this song was released, you still got the essence of it! Loved all of your different interpretations. They're truely all valid! But if you revisit this song later after seeing some of their older mv's you'll find an additional layer of meaning :). Thanks for a great reaction/review.
Little strange to watch this when just starting to watch BTS... it's primarily meant to be a retrospective. It'll make more sense down the line when you've seen other videos.
If you like analysing and diving deep, you will love the "BTS storyline". So much symbolism and interpretations! Only considering the musical aspect, I think you should watch the live performance with Anderson Paak. It is simply fantastic! I prefer it to the recorded. 🥰💜
Bus Carousel Train Box Car Statue with Wings Come From Earlier Videos Like a walk down Memory Lane Even their gestures come from different videos Acknowledging the past was the best but future is the best yet to come.
Yes this was one of what I call the “feel good 3”: Dynamite, Butter and PTD. Love you to check out vintage BTS like Danger, Boy In luv, N.O., Run, I Need You, and Blood Sweat and Tears. Then you will see some true BTS
I dont want to explain any sincd lots of armys already saying things in the comments But.. I just wanna say, i am hoping you are genuine. I love listening to your talks until the end. I watch you while cooking or doi g something. Your conversations are good. Even if sometimes your thoughts arent reaky the exavt meaning of the one you reacted to, im just glad u have that thinking not kjst WOW GREAT AMAZING THAT WAS GOOD. Looking forward to more bts reactions!
I think although this is a wonderful song and the meanings you said, were right. As an ARMY whose been with them for their whole journey, this has been recommend to early because all the little scenes, movements, expressions they show, is all from their journey like previous MV's, storyline stuff, What they achieved, I kinda don't like when people recommend this to new potential ARMY or new people to BTS. Cause they won't get it anything in it. Carousel, scenes in the bus, Train, shoes on the ground, Jimin's sign : is from Spring day Jungkook in the beginning watching through his fingers, the container, some of their movements are from, the van : The HYYH era (I Need U, Prologue, Run (not to be confused not RUN BTS! that's another song), Epilogue: Young Forever) The yellow bus (outside) is from their Debut song : No More Dream You have the trees : ON MV Desert was featured in Save Me The statue with wings & also carousel, the hands before the eyes is from the Wings Era : Blood, Sweat & Tears & Solo songs The color full piano thing is from either Nevermind or from The BTS world OST The rose is : Boy in Luv and Boy with Luv the running is either RUN or Not Today or Epilogue: Young Forever, or it can also be Euphoria in some ways the chairs makes me think of Just One Day Even their clothes represent Older things in the past. Some tunes in the music are also in other songs And lots more is hidden in the MV. That's why it is such a pity people suggest this song way too early. It's like a replay of everything.
This is a look back at the last 10 years, yes, every prop is from a prior video along their journey (which of course Army recognized and 😭)This song was released right before they announced they were going to fulfill their military service over the next two years. It’s a sort of reassurance to Army, we’re taking a break to serve but we’ll be back, at least that’s what I understood-The Best is Yet To Come! Thank you for the reaction!
The thing with this song and music video is that people who just started discovering BTS can't understand the actual meaning behind certain lyrics... also the visuals in the video might seem kinda confusing if you don't know all the references they make to past music videos. This song was made for ARMY so it's always kind of annoying when new fans react to it cause they can't truly appreciate it...
It's not annoying. It's understandable that newbies wouldn't get it. That's why older fans need to kindly and respectfully explain things. If you don't have the heart for that then save your words.
RIGHT?!? New reactors have to be led slowly and thoroughly through BTS content - otherwise it's almost devoid of the meaning that BTS worked so hard to include in it Most reactors aren't going to sit through reading anyone's 500-word comment explaining everything, either
It’s great you watched this! It’s got tons of iconic Easter eggs in this video. But now, you can go back, & as you watch other MV’s, you’ll come across some of the images repeated here. It’ll be like a fun puzzle! Hahahaha. Good luck ! Hahaha
This song is part of their proof album that was released last year in which they compile songs from their 10 years together plus three completely new songs that are: Yet to come RUN BTS (it doesn't have MV, but you can see the dance practice or the live performance of the BUSAN concert) For Youth (it doesn't have an MV either but you can see the live performance of Proof' Live, there they sang that song, plus yet to come and another song called Born singer) This song has many elements that appear in other videos that refer to the old BTS songs, such as the angel, the carousel, the shoes, the train carriage, the bus, the piano, etc., all of them appear in their videos. some tips for you: many of BTS songs have deep meanings and you can look for an explanation video and watch it, you can react to the song and then to the explanation video of the song, I think it might help you
The whole music video and the lyrics are filled with referencing to their old songs. The phrase ‘The most beautiful moment in life’ itself is their 3rd album name.(=HYYH) -the carrusel, shoes: Spring day -the sand: Sea -The trailer : I Need You -The fallen-angle statue : Blood Sweat&Tears -The truck : HYYH album, Run -the chairs: Just One Day -Suga’s piano: First Love -the butterfly: Butterfly -The school bus: No More Dream but still I like the way you interpret the meaning by yourself in various aspects👍😊
Literally every second (clothes, movements, scenery, location, melody, lyrics) are references to their past works (about 20 songs), some of them not all army notice 😅… And yes, everything is real, the desert too. Because later all these scenery (statue, bus, car, carousel) were at a concert in Busan, in a city on the other side of the world (MV was filmed near Las Vegas) 🫠
@@MixItUpPodcast thanks :) yeah it's a little overwhelming bc they've so much content to catch up but don't worry armys will like anything you react about them 💜
Those scenes...even some gestures have meaning or are a Memory or moment from a past video....The desert holds a special meaning....means hard times struggles....and ARMY is the Ocean ...The bus scene is a throw back to Spring Day no religious meaning.... and the carrousel is real also from Spring Day .......I believe they asked their friend and fellow singer Max to write this song to say goodbye to ARMY
I just want to say for being so early in your BTS journey y’all really do a great job of picking up on a lot of the hidden meanings in the videos visually & lyrically.
Many references, actions, props, even the desert and the bus at the end was the starting point for BTS along with the ocean sound. - in this video from the past 9 years of songs.
Yet to come was released on June 10, 2022. On June 13th they announced at the Festa dinner they were taking time away from group projects to pursue solo projects, presumably because of their upcoming mandatory military service. This was a crushing announcement to us ARMYs - as well as stockholders - as the company's stock plummeted after the announcement. They had actually planned to announce a break earlier because of their upcoming conscription beginning with Jin (the oldest member), but several things happened to change their plan. A new law went into effect (the BTS law) in S. Korea that would allow them to postpone their enlistment until the age of 30 (Jin turned 30 on December 4, 2022 ). The SK govt had been discussing exempting them from the military because of their contributions to the SK economy, cultural contributions & bringing so much prestige to the country. Historically, the only exemptions allowed were classical musical artists, Olympic athletes, etc. Pop stars had never been considered for an exemption as long as they were able bodied, which, obviously BTS are. (although, it's been reported that Suga, who is next in line to enlist according to age, will probably not serve active duty because of a previous shoulder injury/surgery, but will likely complete his duties in the form of social services). Enter COVID, which, of course, changed all of our lives. They recorded Dynamite, their first all English language song, & Life Goes On (in Korean), both as "feel good" songs during the pandemic, which were both huge commercial hits globally. They also did online concerts during this time, which brought them even more commercial success & global popularity. Then came Butter & Permission To Dance, two more English language songs that caused the growth of their fan base to absolutely explode. BTS themselves NEVER asked for an exemption in the first place & made clear when it was their turn they would serve their country. A decision on an exemption was never agreed upon by the govt, & in October immediately after the free of charge "Yet To Come: Busan" concert (which was held because they were asked to do it to help Busan in their bid to host the 2030 world expo), Big Hit announced that all members were going to proceed with their enlistment according to their own schedules, beginning with Jin in December. They said that the song "Yet to Come" was intended as a promise to fans that they plan to return as a group in 2025, when they all finish their service. There was so much controversy surrounding the possibility of them being granted an exemption, that it probably would have harmed their reputations if it HAD been offered, since serving the country is considered a very important obligation even though the country stands to lose billions of dollars a year in their absence. Basically, they said "F*ck this, were doing it on OUR terms", & Jin asked for the remainder of his time left under the "BTS law" to be revoked so he could proceed with his enlistment. As unhappy as we are to see them go, most of us ARMYs are extremely proud of them for this decision. Coincidentally, the graduation ceremony for Jin's completion of training was just held yesterday, and he has earned a position as Commander of his unit on the front line between NK & SK, where he will remain until he completes his service. ARMYs, feel free to make any corrections or additions if you feel the need💜.
BTW, I didn't include all the historical symbolism in the video, since a lot of people have already commented on that. I just wanted to add a little more context.
BTS has always had the same production company for all of their music videos from the beginning. They are called Lumpens, and they have made a huge name for themselves for committing to BTS' music videos.
They have a live where they sing snippets of some of their songs called "BTS ROOM FESTA 2021" and it's great to see their versatility, their vibe as a group and individuals and also how talented these men are singing live like it's crazy how all 7 are on point 💜
This song was released with their anthology album, Proof. The MV is full of callbacks to past music videos (such as the rusty carousel) while the lyrics look toward the future. Your desert interpretation is interesting. It made me think that the desert could also represent their military service. For artists, being in the military would be pretty barren.
I think you guys are right in the sense that BTS content, lyrical and visually are made so great that they're able to make anyone, at any stage find a way to connect to it. It's interesting to see where you are coming from and I know a lot of people might point you to one specific definition for this MV, yours isn't necessarily wrong. I'm sure many have said that this is a recap on old BTS songs and MV's. Which is very blatantly obvious to fans who've consumed a lot of BTS content. It's like an Easter egg every few frames because this song is the title track of their anthology album. So a recap in the form of a song is apt right? But one other thing to note is how you mentioned it's like the flow of life in a way. I'll have to agree with this because BTS' music is pretty much like diary entries of the group. each song they make is sprinkled with the stage of life they are at and the topics they were contemplating at that time. So visually you pretty much watched BTS life highlights as they grew up to what they are now. But instead of the afterlife it's more of like the next chapter of their journey as artists. Which is what we're currently on, chapter 2. The bus at the end always reminds me of what RM said about BTS being like on a boat headed to a destination but the members facing different directions. It's like a culmination of different identities who have a singular goal. It reminds me of ARMY too because how else could such a diverse and large group of people somehow get along? BTS truly is the glue that keeps us all together. Thanks again for your reaction! Peace
The latest Album Proof is a collection of thier works for this 1st chapter it’s arranged in a way of their beginnings and through the years with a lot of songs in between it maybe helpful too listen too those or simply start from beginning too present… this is a song that incorporates a lot of past elements via props the clothing the gestures and movements… currently due too mandatory enlistments pending they are currently taking on individual projects and exploring their own indentations as individuals and having more control of what they wish too put out in the world. This opportunities for them too work on these projects will only serve too continue too unite and strengthen thier bonds as family and musicians too experience different life choices that in turn will give them as a band more too write and sing about together.. they have had only a few scheduled breaks in the last 10yrs so it’s time for them too live also gaining life that they had too mostly suppress as they had too grow up quick too take on the pressures of thier jobs. So by 2025 mostly all the men would have served in some capacity in the South Korean army and they plan too then reunite as a group and pour those life experiences into their lyrics and dance… in between their will be an abundance of content in various forms from each band member this includes singles collaborations and individual albums. Also other types of content hope this helps 💜💜
This is one of the three new songs off three CD's over 40 songs anthology album release oh on the 10th of June 2022! Everything in the video was referencing their past music videos the carousel is from the song and music video for spring day. You haven't watched very many other videos have you the bus it's not the same bus it's just representing the bus from their very first music video and song no more dream! And no more drinking the video starts out on a school bus so this video ended on the school bus. Just before the bus is revealed. Jīn puts his hands over V's eyes. a reference to their Blood Sweat and Tears video in which V put his hands over Jīn's eyes. When RPM is wrapping in front of the train cargo car is a reference to the cargo car and the song and music video RUN. The blue train the Jay hope was wrapping in front of is also from music video for spring day. When they were sitting in the bus at the end of this video, they were sitting in the same locations relevant to each other as they were sitting in the train and the last part of spring day video. Unfortunately, I don't agree with BTS ARMY FANS telling you to react to songs before you're ready. because you have no reference to what the meaning of this video and song you are about. you even said it yourself. It's just as stupid as telling you to react to the music video for the song we are bulletproof the eternal it was a a song to army just like this video is! The video for what we are bulletproof the eternal also references a lot of their previous music videos starting with their debut video no more dream and proceeding in order through their music videos!
fyi if you're interested, BTS always share behind the scenes clips which they post on their official channel "BANGTANTV". Behind the scenes such as MV shooting/Photoshoot, song/album preparations such as the recording process, music festivals/awards/concerts backstage, even their daily lives vlog too, etc.
Yeah everything in this mv is memories and old references from their old mv and albums. But I wonder if the white desert was them showing they are cleaning the slate for what the future holds while still keeping their past close to them
I’m really enjoying your perspective on the video! As a new Army you won’t understand all the referenceses in this video! It was filmed in or around Las Vegas last April when they were here for the Grammys and four concerts they held at the Alligent Stadium! Permission to Dance!! I’m 58 and this concert was the best experience I’ve had! So glad that I was able to experience it! Just an FYI the boys last concert was held in Buson in October! Yet To Come and will be showed on theatres the first week of February!! Watching it live on Weverse at 3 in the morning was great but I can’t wait to see it on the big screen!!! Welcome to our rabbit hole!!
We'll that is acceptable and expectable for not an BTS ARMY to say because you know nothing , Yet to come is the last song MV they've released before Jim went in to military enlistment and the other members to do solo projects for now, and the last concert where they've told after that they will Comeback in 2024. Always be reminded that when BTS released a song ,the song related to current BTS situation, condition and environment.
The MV was filmed outside of Las Vegas on their 'off days' from their 4 sold out concerts in LV. There was a massive wind storm happening that caused delays in the filming (you can see part of it in Tae's section) It has been nominated for a Grammy for best MV this year. ARMY collectively lost it completely at the very start with the sound of the waves as they have a hidden song on a previous album called Sea that has a lot of meaning for us and them. Closing with the same sound as well is perfect. As other's have said there is so many call backs to previous MVs and it closed out their Chapter 1 and was the promise from them to us that Chapter 2 is not the end. They would come back. As you watch other MVs it will be interesting to see if you can match the moments/outfits/locations/the truck/the bus/the chairs. 😉
Lumpens is the Director / company that directs most of their MVs. They have been with them from the start and while they do use some CGI, a lot of the time they build everything from scratch. Lumpens is incredibly talented (check out Blood, Sweat and Tears and Daechwita MVs) and Big Hit spend a lot of money on the MVs. Daechwita is a whole movie (filmed on the actual filming set that many of the top kdramas and movies use). I could write a PhD about that MV, it's insanely good.
So from 2013 up to that moment is bts's first chapter so all the things that showed up here are from their past MVs they are saying that they loved the past but they are excited for the future their second chapter which is their solo albums and solo promotions and discovering who they truly are then when everyone serves in the military and comeback it will be their 3rd chapter that's my interpretation from watching and seeing all the hints they been dropping this past 4 3 years
You guys are great. They prepared this song to precede the coming changes including the military, solo work, and then resuming group work at the end of 2025. Thanks for your thoughtful reactions. 💜💜💜💜💜💜
I believe this was filmed in California. When it comes to BTS their agency go all out with their productions. They rarely use CGI or green screen. With their mv for the song “Stay Gold” they even built a meadow with a pond. In this video all the props are real. It’s important for them to put out quality videos and performances so the armies get the best of them. Thanks for reacting. I recommend that you watch 2019 mma performance and you will see how much they put into an award show performance. It’s long as they were given about 40 minutes for their performance. Asian award show are so different from American award shows. We armies love long videos with intelligent and genuine reactors.
I love how you see other dimensions. I really enjoy your talking and thoughts you have about songs and what they brings on yout mind. Is soo cool to be part of this even only listening. Thank you 💜
For a news listeners is a beautiful songs with good lyrics.. all mv is a lots of reference only army’s know .. is really really meaningful songs for us .. still really nice to hear you thoughts thank you 😊
I think u should go in order …yet to come is a summary for all their songs ..each scene is representing an era of album they made ..and this song is like a promise to their fan we will go to military but we will come back ..a lot yet to come
The amount of references about their past in this video 🤯 wish you reacted to it a bit later but it's still a enjoyable song even without knowing the meaning for them and for armys 💜
The whole MV is just like a summary of their journey from where they started to present.
😅😂
I completely agree!!! You said everything as I would have 💜
I agree it would be quite difficult for a new fan to really understand all the references featured in this MV. This is both a reminder and a promise of BTS to ARMYs; a reminder of the years shared with their fans, a walk through memory of all the best and most iconic moments in their career as well as a promise that "they will be back better than ever." This song was released just a few days before they announced their phase 2 or what many now know as the "hiatus" from group activities as they concentrate more on their individual projects and make preparations for their enlistment in the military.
the mv is reminiscing on their path, so there are a lot of references to their previous works
1:20 - jk's gesture is a reference to their BU (Bangtan Universe aka fictional storyline in some of their mvs) video named The Prologue
1:25 - their formation is a reference to the Just One Day choreo
1:55 - reference to the same track riding on the beach in The Prologue again
2:00 - the jacket is very similar to jackets in the Blood Sweat & Tears and DNA mvs, while the hand movement is his ending pose in the Fake Love
2:03 - this reminds me of one shot in the Highlight Reels which is another video connected to the BU. i don't think YTC is part of the BU though, it's not marked as one, they just reminisce about their path
2:05 - the school uniform and the rose is a reference to the Boy in Luv mv. rose also appeared in the Persona album concept photos and Tae's solo Singularity mv
2:30 - sitting on top of the track reminded be of Euphoria mv
2:33 - the carousel is an obvious reference to the Spring Day as well as the dynamic of the shot - it's a complete recreation
2:49 - the statue is a reference to Blood Sweat & Tears
2:54 - shoes are a reference to Spring Day. Jimin's outfit is also very similar to his outfit in Spring Day mv
3:00 - Jimin reaching for the sky is a reference to the Lie short film maybe. same movement was also in the Black Swan choreo and ON mv
3:01 - purple butterfly: so purple is color that represents the love and trust between bts and army and overall is out color, while butterfly is a constant symbol in BTS artistry just like the whale. it's was the most prominent during the HYYH era. there's a song called Butterfly too
3:05 - the rich flowers is a reference to the Stay Gold mv possibly, while the piano is also a constant symbol in BTS artistry, more often than not connected to Suga and representing the music. his outfit is similar to one in Was of hormone mv as well as in concept photos for Young Forever album
3:13 - the container is connected to the BU ans starred in The Prologue, I Need U mv, Run mv, Fake Love mv, maybe some more lol hard to keep track of. jeen outfit is similar to the one from Fake Love mv
3:15 - dead trees remind me of ON mv
3:23 - train is a reference to Spring Day mv. Hobi's outfit is similar to the one in the Highlight Reels video
3:34 - the shot is similar to the polaroid photo from the Run mv and The Prologue video
3:48 - this shot of Jimin is the recreation of Spring Day mv, but the hand gesture is also similar to DNA mv
3:55 - this is recreation of Blood Sweat & Tears, but Jin and Tae switched places
3:57 - the bus is similar to one from their debut mv No More Dream
4:04 - this shot is reminiscent of Young Forever mv
4:06 - Jungkook running up the hill reminds me of ON mv
4:12 - Jungkook walking on the top of the bus reminded me of two things: him sitting on top of the truck in Permission to Dance and him waking on the parapet in I Need U mv
4:37 - him with outstretched arms was in the Euphoria mv
4:38 - tae gesture is recreation of Spring Day mv
4:50 - the following ending scene is recreation of Spring Day scene in the train
5:18 - i saw someone said this reminded them of "joon's quote about the members all travelling on the same boat but looking in different directions"
Well I mean they should have a chance to actually get into their content a little more and then come back to watch the video later, before you spoil every single reference 😅 (But I guess its too late now🤐). Its nice when baby army's come back later so they can then understand for themselves on this journey y'know 🙄
thank you so much for this! as an army for 5 years, there are still some references that i didnt manage to catch but your breakdown was so detailed :)
@아포방포 you are welcome 💜
Thank you so much for breaking that down for them. I hope they read that. Good info.
And the sound of the ocean was from the song 'Sea', which also references the desert.
I will listen to your breakdown now and see what you got from it 💜
Good breakdown considering huou wouldn't get all the references.
For long-time Armys, this MV is full of meaning and memories from BTS' journey.
desert with sea sounds is a reference to their hidden song Sea from 2017 (means it was only released on physical albums for army)
"This place that I thought was the *sea* was actually a *desert*
and our second name was “idols from a small agency with no connections”
We were cut from broadcast countless times
To fill in for someone was our dream
Some said we won’t be able to make it big because we’re from a small company
I know I know I know as well
The days when seven of us tried to sleep in one room
The faith we had before falling asleep that tomorrow would be different
The mirage of a *desert*
Though I could see its form, I couldn’t grasp it
I prayed that we would survive in this *desert* that felt endless
I prayed that it wasn’t reality
Eventually the mirage was caught by us and became reality,
and the *desert* we feared got filled with our blood, sweat, and tears to become the *sea*
But what are these fears among all this happiness?
We know too well that this place was originally a *desert*
I don’t want to cry, I don’t want to rest
(No, how about resting just for a bit)
(No no no)
I don’t want to lose, this was originally a *desert*
(Well, then we have to run)
(Well, we have to cry more)"
Sea lyrics say "the mirage in the desert, though I could see its form, I couldn’t grasp it"
3:57 Tae trying to make out what's on the horizon and then the shining appearance of their school bus from No More Dream for me looks a lot like a mirage in the desert. if you saw one you know how it sparkles
their path so far was both incredible and very hard. they were hungry, they were hated, they were lost at some time. something they've been looking for for years to ground them, the answer to their future lays is in their passion and their values. just like they've started all this to raise their voices and to protect those who needed it. "it's back to square one after making one long turn. back to one"
Also just letting you know the desert reference was first mentioned in rms hidden skit on their first album, the skits called: On The Start Line
Yet To Come music video was nominated for the Grammys btw!
ooowh Really? Good news 💜💜
It also makes me look forward to what the guys will come back with in 2025.
its basically a song that has props from there old videos in the past thats what the song is about plus its for army as well.
Filmed in deserts outside of Las Vegas while they were doing their live concerts. Such a great compilation of their journey so far.
I am glad you enjoyed this video.
they were telling army that their and our best moments are yet to come as fans and for them as well.
Their very first music video No More Dream from 2013 began with them on a school bus and now their first chapter ends with them back on the school bus.
probs were physical, same from previous mvs or a remake. they included them later in their stage setup for the Busan concert in 2022
in general there are a lot of situations when people who watch their mv for the first time guess that this or that was done on a green screen or digitally, when it wasn't :)
*though* there's no strict principle for hybe to not use cgi. they do it when they need it, but when they can make a practical set or props they always go for it.
The music video highlights scenes from their music videos like No More Dream (the school bus), Just One Day, Spring Day (carousel), Blood Sweat & Tears (angel statue), Stay Gold (Suga's scene), Butterfly, RM's scene from I Need You etcetc
Lyrics have such depth.
For not knowing anything about the video and the references surrounding the BTS lore, I really loved all your interpretations on "Yet to Come".
@MK5 Studios, this particular video was a collage of all of their past music videos you’ll see insert different objects that only season BTS ARMYs will identify with and recognize in the music video.
When you do some more of their older music videos then you can reference back to this music video and say yes that is what this means?😊
I’m not going to tell you exactly what everything means I’d like you to find out organically by going through the other music videos and then you’ll be able to see what we see as BTS ARMYs!💜🙏🏼 Nice reaction👍
There’s so much symbolism in this video. Gotta know their past….. 💜
*sitting in chairs- reference to their song Just One Day
*Desk and school uniform- Boy in Luv
*carrousel/ shoes/ train- Spring Day
*angel- Blood, sweat and Tears
*container- Run
*piano- First Love
*school bus- No Moee Dream (their 1st official song and music video releqsed back in 2013 where they get off that school bus and now they go back in and they sit the same as in a scene of Spring Day)
And almost every frame every move they make is similar to a past video! I think it'd be easier to watch an explanation or video breakdown! 😅
It's been nominated for the Grammys under best music video this year.. let's see!!!
They even replicate or recreate some of their iconic scenes from old MV's like
Sitting arrangement in the opening replicates their arrangemet in Just One Day MV
Bus from No More Dreams MV
Carousel, train, Jimin picking up the shoes, seating arrangement inside the bus from Spring Day MV
Container van, truck & gas tank (something) from Run MV
Statue from Blood Sweat & Tears MV and a lot more in which Exceleste channel explains all the other references.
RM & Suga started when they were 13, but it took Big Hit almost 5 years later to find them
Little strange to watch this when just starting to watch BTS... it's primarily meant to be a retrospective.
BTS will have the most iconic and epic come back in 2025. I can't wait ! army forever.🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🥰
Bus
Carousel
Train
Box Car
Statue with Wings
Come
From
Earlier Videos
Like a walk down Memory Lane
Even their gestures come from different videos
Acknowledging the past was the best but future is the best yet to come.
Yes this was one of what I call the “feel good 3”: Dynamite, Butter and PTD. Love you to check out vintage BTS like Danger, Boy In luv, N.O., Run, I Need You, and Blood Sweat and Tears. Then you will see some true BTS
I dont want to explain any sincd lots of armys already saying things in the comments
But..
Carousel, scenes in the bus, Train, shoes on the ground, Jimin's sign : is from Spring day
Jungkook in the beginning watching through his fingers, the container, some of their movements are from, the van : The HYYH era (I Need U, Prologue, Run (not to be confused not RUN BTS! that's another song), Epilogue: Young Forever)
The yellow bus (outside) is from their Debut song : No More Dream
You have the trees : ON MV
Desert was featured in Save Me
The statue with wings & also carousel, the hands before the eyes is from the Wings Era : Blood, Sweat & Tears & Solo songs
The color full piano thing is from either Nevermind or from The BTS world OST
The rose is : Boy in Luv and Boy with Luv
the running is either RUN or Not Today or Epilogue: Young Forever, or it can also be Euphoria
in some ways the chairs makes me think of Just One Day
Even their clothes represent Older things in the past. Some tunes in the music are also in other songs
And lots more is hidden in the MV.
I don't expect BTS would be annoyed, not even for a second. They don't attach conditions, you know?
It's not annoying. It's understandable that newbies wouldn't get it. That's why older fans need to kindly and respectfully explain things. If you don't have the heart for that then save your words.
i didn't mean annoying in a bad way, it's just that it shoouldn't get recommended, don't see the point of it
RIGHT?!? New reactors have to be led slowly and thoroughly through BTS content - otherwise it's almost devoid of the meaning that BTS worked so hard to include in it
Most reactors aren't going to sit through reading anyone's 500-word comment explaining everything, either
It’s great you watched this! It’s got tons of iconic Easter eggs in this video. But now, you can go back, & as you watch other MV’s, you’ll come across some of the images repeated here. It’ll be like a fun puzzle! Hahahaha. Good luck ! Hahaha
This song is part of their proof album that was released last year in which they compile songs from their 10 years together plus three completely new songs that are:
Yet to come
RUN BTS (it doesn't have MV, but you can see the dance practice or the live performance of the BUSAN concert)
For Youth (it doesn't have an MV either but you can see the live performance of Proof' Live, there they sang that song, plus yet to come and another song called Born singer)
This song has many elements that appear in other videos that refer to the old BTS songs, such as the angel, the carousel, the shoes, the train carriage, the bus, the piano, etc., all of them appear in their videos.
some tips for you: many of BTS songs have deep meanings and you can look for an explanation video and watch it, you can react to the song and then to the explanation video of the song, I think it might help you
The whole music video and the lyrics are filled with referencing to their old songs. The phrase ‘The most beautiful moment in life’ itself is their 3rd album name.(=HYYH)
-the carrusel, shoes: Spring day
-the sand: Sea
-The trailer : I Need You
-The fallen-angle statue : Blood Sweat&Tears
-The truck : HYYH album, Run
-the chairs: Just One Day
-Suga’s piano: First Love
-the butterfly: Butterfly
-The school bus: No More Dream
but still I like the way you interpret the meaning by yourself in various aspects👍😊
Literally every second (clothes, movements, scenery, location, melody, lyrics) are references to their past works (about 20 songs), some of them not all army notice 😅…
And yes, everything is real, the desert too. Because later all these scenery (statue, bus, car, carousel) were at a concert in Busan, in a city on the other side of the world (MV was filmed near Las Vegas) 🫠
Thank you for watching this video. I would recommend the Proof Live mini-concert. This song sounds so good with a live band.
You should react to their live performance "proof" in 2022, they sang 3 of their songs and their voices are just perfect live 💜
We are adding to the list. This list is super deep. Lolol
I can’t help but cry every time this song comes on 😢
BTS has always had the same production company for all of their music videos from the beginning.
Las Vegas & California. This video reflects on their past, a lot of props come from past videos. There are English sub
I recoment Proof live consert on California desert, includes 3 songs and BTS talks their journey (and Paak in drum during one song).
This song was released with their anthology album, Proof. The MV is full of callbacks to past music videos (such as the rusty carousel) while the lyrics look toward the future. Your desert interpretation is interesting. It made me think that the desert could also represent their military service. For artists, being in the military would be pretty barren.
Best Yet to Come MV is nominated as BEST MV for GRAMMY 2022.
by the way all music video credits are listed in the description of music videos, just open it ;)

But I wonder if the white desert was them showing they are cleaning the slate for what the future holds while still keeping their past close to them
It was shouted somewhere in the state Nevada next to Las Vegas dureng their concerts in April.
It's nominated for a Grammy! However, Army knows that the Scammy's might not award them a well deserved Grammy.
I think the MV was shot in the Mojave Desert - Nevada/California!
So many references to previous Mvideos... and the song is so beautiful. 💜
There was a massive wind storm happening that caused delays in the filming (you can see part of it in Tae's section)
It has been nominated for a Grammy for best MV this year.
This wasn’t a video to start knowing BTS! It was made for ARMY! But love your reactions!
This video is nominated for best video for Grammy
So from 2013 up to that moment is bts's first chapter so all the things that showed up here are from their past MVs they are saying that they loved the past but they are excited for the future their second chapter which is their solo albums and solo promotions and discovering who they truly are then when everyone serves in the military and comeback it will be their 3rd chapter that's my interpretation from watching and seeing all the hints they been dropping this past 4 3 years
You guys are great. They prepared this song to precede the coming changes including the military, solo work, and then resuming group work at the end of 2025. Thanks for your thoughtful reactions. 💜💜💜💜💜💜
NOMINEE FOR BEST MUSIC VIDEO AT 2023 GRAMMYS… LETS GOOOO
Thank you 💜
Yet to Come MV is nominated to Grammys this year for Best Music Video.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
For a news listeners is a beautiful songs with good lyrics.. all mv is a lots of reference only army’s know .. is really really meaningful songs for us .. still really nice to hear you thoughts thank you 😊
I think u should go in order …yet to come is a summary for all their songs ..each scene is representing an era of album they made ..and this song is like a promise to their fan we will go to military but we will come back ..a lot yet to come
The amount of references about their past in this video 🤯 wish you reacted to it a bit later but it's still a enjoyable song even without knowing the meaning for them and for armys 💜
Can't wait for more bts reactions ♡ thanks
you'll see the objects in this video in their previous MV"s since they are looking back at their past anthology
