- Bit of an update on what's happening with the Barn find panel van, slowly working towards getting it on the road. I want to get it up to the way I want it before Rego so there's still a few things to do. Waiting for the wheels to get to me via a pony express of mates doing mate things. Hoping to pick them up at summernats in Canberra in a few weeks time.
She’s looking the goods mate ,, looking forward to seeing more.👍
Thanks, will be plenty more to see as the van progresses if I get to do everything I’ve got planned for it.

Purchased it off eBay , no warranty and untested so it was a luck of the draw job. I was nervous that it wouldn’t work I can tell ya.
The van is coming along nicely, but id rather see progress on the hardtail in the background

Ha ha, yeah that’s slowly progressing as well when time and money permits. Nothing exciting just an evo powered, slightly raked wg front with 16” spoked rims.

Nice colour choice, on this I’ll be painting the lower section nemesis grey which was a sierra colour and the same as the svo falcons .

Thanks, hopefully on the road in the new year. Will be collecting the new/old rims for it at Summernats and then adding the lowered springs to the front at same time.

Hey mate great progress I noticed when you changed the IAC you had no gasket. That can cause vac leaks and the inlet manifolds are commonn for leaking on the Ford I6. That can also cause idle issues.
G’day , thanks for that but I did actually have a gasket there after cleaning off the manifold face of the old one. Since doing this I discovered that the pcv valve wasn’t working which affected the idle. Thanks for watching and the tip.

I had a '95 wagon once that I got real cheap. The people on the property down the road from me had a Tickford V8 sedan in his paddock that he bought for 300 dollars. However, when he picked it up from the seller, they'd bashed in the front and rear ends, so he didn't want it anymore and gave it to me. The plan was to a front-end panel swap with the wagon and bush panel beat the rear into shape. Sadly that didn't happen. Not sure where those vehicles are now.
I was so hoping that was going to end in an engine swap story….. thanks for sharingb
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide Well, that was the original plan, swapping the Tickford into the wagon, but I didn't have a shed to do the work, so swapping the wagon panels onto the front of the Tickford seemed the best route. A 'stealth' Tickford...A V8 wagon would have been nice though. Time and travel issues prevented me getting the thing done, sadly.
Did you put the bottom 2 screws back in ?
Nope, they were absolute pains in the bum to get at, I’ll use it like that until I do 5,000 klm and it’s due for a service and if I have no dramas with dash then I’ll refit them.
