Currently playing through the adventure with my players, second to last floor atm. One thing I wish I had done differently: the book includes a lot of background information on the people, use of different floors and history of the Gauntlight in general. However, just throwing this information out there at your players feels like weird exposition. Suggest scattering some old letters/ journals/ notes in strategic locations so the players can discover the past as they delve deeper into the dungeon. Without it, there's plenty of information that one might omit because the players would have no way of learning it.
I can second this. The amount of rich background information for almost every location/encounter that Paizo put into this AP is astounding. If you play it as designed, the PCs will only scrape a fraction of this information and miss out on 90% of the history and background. I started including this info in dream sequences or ghostly visions, so the PCs don't miss out on this great story. This definitely requires some extra prep.
This has been a huge complaint i have with premade adventures in general. You get like 20 pages of cool awesome backstory scattered throughout the adventure that you need to keep in your mind, but the players will likely never learn any of it so it almost feels pointless >.
One thing I want to mention is the Troubles in Otari book, which serves as an expansion to the Beginner box. It's basically a collection of short adventures that takes place in the region, and could serve as padding for the AP, and I am thinking of using it as means for players to find extra loot to help overcome an obstacle in the Vaults. i.e. finding a shipment of Holy or Ghost Touch runestones in the villain's possessions Some of the Pathfinder Society Quests and Bounties can also offer short pre-written adventures that can be modified to change the pacing of the game, making it easier for GMs.
Any idea if you will be doing other APs? As a GM I'd love to get your takes on Curse of the Crimson Throne, Hell's Rebels, Age of Ashes, Iron Gods, or Strange Aeons. PLEASE DO MORE!
Interesting hearing abot the infinite support product , first im hearing about it I was thinking of running troubles under otari or whatever the followup to the starterbox adventure is called alongside the abomination vault to have some stuff to do outside the vault
If your doing this AP using Foundry these modules will make things easier and add a lot of flavor, especially if your players are rolling from Menace Under Otari (beginners box) and/or trying to fit in Trouble In Otari content: Tianzes Otari Extras Tianzes Gauntlight Extras Footsteps Of Otari PF2e A Shopping Experience
I'm always down for some constructive criticism. Could you be more specific? Did you not like the section on the campaign backgrounds? Or the outro where I announced Nhimbaloth as the next subject?
@@Podfinder I did not like the cheeky "that's not a spoiler" comment surrounding Nhimbaloth. I was considering whether I should use this video to introduce the players to the campaign, but it's kind of hard to justify if it spoils part of the mystery.

"Vicious threats" and "tactical retreat" are no joke. My group started with the beginner box before delving into the Gauntlight.
I’m running this on Foundry with the official AP. It’s really good.

All very excellent advice, and things I think a lot of GMs could put to good use.
Wish we had this when my group started playing through it! Still, love the video and I am sure it is going to help many others.

I'm definitely doing more. Blood Lords is up next on October 18th. I don't currently have plans for anything from 1e yet.
Well this is very topical for me. Me and my group are about to start our 2nd session of this AP
XD
Great video! always happy to see these campaign overviews from you.
Are you planning on going more into the Outer Gods / Spooky dieties for October?
Spooky deities, campaigns, and characters.

Since it is part of the current Humble Bundle, would it be possible to get on of these for the Blood Lords AP? Great Video as always
Blood Lords is coming up in two weeks!
Thank you for making this guide! I'm excited for next week too
You're very welcome!

Oh another campaign I can play as an iruxi
Play everything as iruxi
I wish we had this when we started our AV run, we went in thinking we were tough and lost 5 characters to fucking morlocks. We're pretty stupid.
Oof. That's a rough start. I hope it was still a fun time.
Not a good way to end the video sorry

@@HiImLerazzo that's a fair point. I appreciate the feedback.
