@@nurettinsarul As Turkey becomes more democratic in its essence, people started to express themselves more freely than before. Try to look around you cautiously. You will be estonished too much about the diversity of this region called East Karadeniz region. As a speaker of the Greek language, it was a very big suprşse for me to encounter people still speaking pantiaka in this region. They were very open to me when they learned that I speak the Greek language. I have a couple of customers among them and I know the family background of some of them that I don't want to disclose here because of privacy of identification. You believe it or not, this is up to you but the reality does not change. Pontus still is alive in Eastern Turkey although its people claim to be muslims. They approach to Greek speaking people with sympathy and they confirm that they are from Pontus with enthousiasm. I am the living witness of it.
@@nurettinsarul Years ago when I returned home from Germany I started looking for a job in the city in which I live. I applied for a job to a renowned company well known in Turkey and abroad. In my CV I wrote that I speak Greek fluently. I was invited for an employment interview by the CEO of the company. In this interview the other shareholders were also present for the assesment of my qualifications. They asked from where I learned to speak Greek. Then they introduced themselves to me adding that they understand 80% of the language the Greeks speak in Greece and that their mother stay in Athens during the winter and in Trapezounda during the summer..... Just think a little how weir it is if someone feels the necessity in Turkey to be called "Fatma" and in Greece to be called with the real name "Fotini". This situation is a big shame on Turkey. It shows that Turkey is still a place where people are harassed because of their identity. Isn't a confirmation of what I'm saying based upon your comments here?
