I’m not a farrier or in training. Butt I do work at Spring Mountain State Park here
in Nevada. We have a blacksmith shop which goes back to the Civil War era. In between 1864 and today many of our tools were ‘borrowed’ and never returned. I’m trying to replace them as time & money allows - and learning the art of farrier. Thank you for your videos.

What are the purpose of the 3 round holes drilled into the shoe?????

Screw in studs for better traction.
Sometimes the horse is harder on the one side so the 3 nail holes help keep the shoe on, plus it protects the hoove from wear unevenly. Takes the pressure off the of the weaker side.

What is this horses job that requires 3 stud holes, why 3 not just 2? I have them in my sliders so I can work a cow but I have never seen 3 holes. Also, what a neat colored legs. One leg is almost sorrel and this one is black. That’s different. Thanks for sharing.

Look man i'll be blunt i really liked your vids and watch a whole lot of them.
But recently your video qualities took a dump (480p max?), sound quality inconsistent with some vids going through one ear only, and now this, with noise all around.
Ido want the best for you and yourr channel but it's becoming difficult to enjoy. I literally just go watch videos from 2 years ago now.
Please either consider getting a new editing person, or get some new hardware for filming an recording sound.
I'd invite you to try and watch this video with headphones.and compare it to what you produced 2 years ago.
