I found it's a good idea to dab some silicon grease between the carrier and the stainless steel plate to stop rust jacking which can pinch the pads, regarding the jack my RRC and my wife's Disco 1 came with proper hydraulic jacks ( down to bean counters ) I like the laid back style of you videos.

Good bit of advice there @roversteve53 👍 thank you, sometimes I’m so laid back I simply drift off to sleep 😁 glad you like it, cheers

I'm glad you pointed out the scissor jack!
I once rather stupidly used this one that comes with the L322 and it failed and damm nearly killed me. When I say nearly 1/2 an inch away!
The jack colapsed and ripped the jacking point out nearly crushing me in the process. I always now carry a decent jack at all times with axle stands!

Holy crap! Glad you made it out in one piece, scissor jacks are death traps. I cringe when I see people using them along with bits of wood propping their cars up precariously. Its scary stuff.

Check the rubber tips on your front caliper pins. Mine have just gone soft and jammed one of the pins from sliding.
