Sloppy pisspoor attempts are acceptable to braindead cretins but not fans of Belle and Sebastian.
I heard the Young and Stupid on the radio this morning. The first time I have heard of the group. Just playing some of their performances on RUclips and they are awesome
Finally, a GOOD recording that does this band justice. They really do have cool songs, and like all bands, they have a solid rhythm section that swings. Charismatic also.
It's no surprise that they sound so good - they seem to play every instrument, they always look really busy on stage, their harmonies are wonderfully subtle. Just a great group.
I just heard these guys for the first time on PRB Princeton and was musically smitten right off the bat. An internet search led me here. What a great band! I'm thinking about going to see them.

Loved their early stuff....but they've lost it these days. The songs are nowhere near as good. The tunes are gone and the songs are just more cumbersome...time to call it a day.
Morphine and B&S rose coloured glasses what a life! Kicking sister m in detox the early albums pulled me thru and lifted my spirt. Elliot lake medical detox very strange place but they do gods work. Just weird to detox in a small town of AAers and not know what's up over the hill! My councilor said he used to party in the facility when it was a bar and hotel. He said her ran thru the sheet rock between hotel rooms! An ex-cop who still had the cop moustache. All while coming off 7 year morphine trip. Tripping music helped this fool get thru it. Belle and Sebastian the best. Just had to write it to tell someone before it killed me. Now my comments are looking like the bible with it passes lost in meaning and time. God bless you Scotts.
I don't know what's my favorite Belle & Sebastian's song. They can play anything and I'll sing it with everyone

I agree Steve but I think it's the musical colour lost due to Mick Cook's departure. Compare the current performances with Benicassim 2004.
