Conner, u did a great job putting that pump on, I’ve never had any experience with hydraulic pumps, it was definitely interesting to watch. Conner really enjoyed the video and it was nice to hear from u. God be with you, from Kentucky 😊.
Great video, and nice to see you working on the super m. Sometimes you could put bigger hydraulic cylinders on to overcome lower pressure. Go from a three inch to a four inch cylinder. Newer equipment sometimes has special sized cylinders though so it may not be feasible or econimical to switch cylinders.
I have heard this before, but just as you mentioned I don’t know if it would be feasible or not. Something to maybe look into though! Or it’s a good excuse to collect another tractor, hahaha!
Hey Connor,,good to see ya. Nice repairs? Always another thing to click off a never ending list. Hope all is going good back on the home place. Looking forward to spring tillage.
Nice work young man! I appreciate how you are tackling these mechanical issues. Is there still snow on the ground at your farm? We are full blown spring mode here in North Florida. Thanks for the update. 🚜
Great to see you post! Is the hydraulic filter screen clean? Goo on there can slow things down. I'd also test it out again when it's warmer. Looking forward to more updates! Regards!!
I agree with JasonJ2269, that using a larger cylinder should do the job.,, one other option would be to acquire a hydraulic pump that runs off the PTO.
I thought about the PTO pump but then I’d have to set up another reservoir and valve assembly for that. I think a larger cylinder would be the ticket if I can convince dad and they’ll fit.
Did you get the gear that came with the pump. The tractors that were fitted with the live hydraulic pumps had a special hardened gear. If you use the original gear in the tractor it wouldn't hold up over time. I read about this in a IH service bulletin
This tractor already had a Live pump on it. It is a replacement pump for a new one that failed. I do believe it was originally a stage one that someone turned stage two, wether they updated the gear or not I couldn’t say but so far it’s held up to the pump being over pressurized so I’d say we’re good 👍🏻.
Awesome work Connor. It sucks about the M not putting out enough pressure to operate the rake, but at least it's back in service for other duty😊

Thank you Scott!
Nice video to bad it didnt have the volume to work the rake just like us the sun never shines on this dogs ass every day 😂 thanks Connor
Connor you did a great job repairing that tractor! Keep up the great work. Stay safe! 🙏🏻
Thank you Tara!
@@ThisOldFarm you are welcome 💖

Good to see the super back up and running
Glad to see you back Conner this once a week stuff I have to watch for you to post something. Good job buddy keep up the good work.
Thanks Charles. I’d like to post more regularly, just a goofy spot I’m in right now in life and can’t really make it happen.

It is gone now mostly!

On the systems in the SM/SMTA series there is no screen, as far as I’m aware at least. That wasn’t until the hundred series.
