I was looking for an extensive review of this shoe and after a couple of videos that were more product specification overview videos, I was so happy to find your video. Exactly what I was looking for, informative and really helped me making a decision for my first gravel shoe. Ordered them (also in pink/sand color) and we'll see how they ride!
This is definitely the kind of shoe I would want if I do ever end up going clipless. Being able to walk is huge for gravel and touring. $300 doesn’t sound as bad when you are going to get that much use and longevity out of them. Great review.
I’m looking for spd pedals that go well with these shoes that have some thread. Can I buy spd pedals that have this bigger platform on them like the Shimano XT PD M8120? Or would the platform interfere with the threads too much making it harder too clip in?
Same! Its crazy that these are always only advertised as gravel or mtb shoes. As if you never walk on other surfaces.. There’s a gap in the market for walkable road cycling shoes!
In your personal opinion with QUOCS GT ii do you think since I normally get away with a 45.5 Wide in Specialized / SIDI I need to size up to 46 since they ONLY do full sizing?
@@TheLankyCyclist i was considering after your review. but looking for something just a little more affordable. too bad these cool colors are not on other brands.
In this video, I used TIME ATAC8 pedals, but I have also used with Shimano SPD mountain bike pedals. Sometimes I get some squeaking when climbing using the TIME pedals.

Yeah, expectations definitely met for the price paid. Do it, go clipless!
@@TheLankyCyclist Its not a lie to say this video has me considering it.

Wear these on my road bike, way easier being able to comfortably walk when you get off
Agree

Thanks again for excellent and informative video.
Thanks Roger!
Those look good. I have a couple sets of Shimano clipless pedals NIB, need to get them on some bikes😬
Would be good for your upcoming expeditions!

I have the old quocs, so not sure if they changed sizing, but unless they tell you differently on their website, I'd probably size up the half size.
Hi. Are they good for wide fitting feet? Specifically the grandtourer xc mtb ones
They’ve redesigned it, and I haven’t used the latest version. The old version was not especially wide. If you need wide cycling shoes, look at Lake.
I have the latest version and they are wide in the toe box as I normally wear Lake
I have crazy wide feet and the lace version fit like a glove! Best shoes I ever bought.
I like the pink funkiness.
They just released some new pink ones with boa dials. Funky is good.
