    This is Jessica’s mom and reading all of these wonderful comments and how many of you she has helped really helps to lift my spirits. The grief of losing a child is unbearable and knowing how much more Jessica wanted to accomplish in her professional and personal adventures is so hurtful. Like everything else she did, she gave her fight 100 percent and everything she could to survive . She was taken from us way too soon- her life had just begun.

      Thank you . We are not at that place of peace . We re still trying to deal with acceptance of this nightmare. I can’t believe I’m never going to get a phone call , a visit, a hug, or anything . She was always so excited and couldn’t wait to share any good news about her day or business accomplishments-a daughter for 37 years and then not physically in your life is going to take a lifetime to adjust. She will always live in my heart.

    Hi Jessica, we were in Ask an Autistic a long time ago! I am sitting for my BCaBA next Tuesday and the BCBA questions help me prepare and then some! You added a great deal of insight into concepts I didn't understand or hadn't even learned anywhere, and demystified some critical thinking and test-taking strategies for me. I got 149 out of 170 correct from home.
    From my experience going through them one-by-one, I had difficulty, questions, or input on the following questions (see Reply, so there aren't spoilers for readers):

    • @andrewbennett6089
      @andrewbennett6089 Год назад

      12:58 (Question 3): I chose Philosophic Doubt because I saw the single article as insufficient evidence on which to base an intervention. I would think we'd have to evaluate an article and compare it to other evidence, to form reasonable certainty.
      27:30: There are two voices overlapping, making it extremely difficult to hear either of them.
      1:00:20, 4:27:50 (Question 29, Question 129): Isn't it possible to do sensory extinction in some rare cases, by not preventing the behavior but preventing it from contacting its sensory consequence?
      1:47:50 (Question 48): The instance of throwing after the first 3 seconds is the only one that states that any of the toys were thrown *at another student,* which was the target behavior. The others just say toys were thrown and I have always been taught to consider throwing items at someone else as a different behavior. So I would argue that throwing items *not* at someone else doesn't meet the definition of the behavior, and thus none of these choices are correct as there is no IRT data to collect on one instance of behavior.
      2:31:49 (Question 69): In this graph, I see possible sequence effects or multiple treatment interference, since the orders were not counterbalanced, and experimental control isn't as strong because baseline wasn't brought back for every intervention phase.
      3:18:25 (Question 91): I get the logic of the choice to select A, in that you should expect there to be something in the question saying that there were other goals, if there were any. Conversely, I selected B because I expected there to be something in the question that there were NOT any other goals, if there were none. Should I assume by default that a question will make positive statements of inclusion rather than exclusion?
      4:12:40 (Question 120): The question didn't state the client was male LOL
      4:14:40 (Question 121): I originally answered A for the exact reason given, and then changed to B because I saw total task chaining as also impractical and likely aversive for someone who doesn't know how to complete the puzzle. Forward chaining, while really awkward, at least avoids having to do the entire puzzle for every trial. The question doesn't, though, specify how long the puzzle was - however, that could be a justification against either forward or total task.
      4:25:22 (Question 127): I had a difficult time choosing between A and C. I agree that high-P request sequence works because it causes the learner to be more motivated to comply due to a history of reinforcement. But that sounds more like an EO than an AO, so I chose C. I would call it an AO if it was *reducing* the motivation for *non*compliance, and I see this tactic as increasing the motivation for compliance. Are you saying that giving reinforcement for the high-P tasks serves as an AO for the maintaining reinforcer? Because that seems more like it would be escape, than the attention/praise being given. I'm really confused by the logic behind this.
      5:01:40 (Question 147): The question states that Coral is concerned that Jefferey *may* be engaging in treatment drift, but doesn't say he *actually is.* I fell for the IOA data answer because I went immediately for the answer that involved collecting data, wanting to verify that treatment drift actually exists before taking corrective action against it. I feel I would be wasting a supervisee's time if I reviewed an intervention plan when they already were doing well.

    Hi! Thanks so much for taking the time to review this mock exam. I came across and error for one of your questions about Lucky mounting to another dog and finding the average latency of Lucky doing so. You added 7+ 8+9 and said the answer is 21 then divided 3 which is 7 minutes. However, 7+8+9 =24 and when divided by 3 = 8 minutes. The answer should be 8 minutes, not 7. Did I miss something or is this just a silly mistake?

    The Lucky question around 2:08 or 2:09 Your math is wrong. The math is 7+8+9= 24/3=8mins However, the passage never stated if Lucky mounted another dog on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Because of that, we are assuming they only left because Lucky Mounted another dog. For all we know, it could've started raining and that's why they left early. So because of the lack of information and me not wanting to assume I stated it wasn't enough information. However if Lucky did Mount other dogs the answer would be 8mins. Either way, I'm learning and thinking like BCBA because of this. Thank you

    This is 100% hands down the best test prep video for the exam!!! As someone who has taken it before and paid for numerous resources. The other practice questions were too easy!!! When I recieved the test i was FLABBERGHASTED at the content in the questions and how hard it was for me to dissect. So many of the terms I was unfamiliar with and was shocked because I went through the task list up and down. These questions actually mock the level of content in this exam. I am re- taking the test soon. I dropped everything else and started watching this video becaue again, all other practice tests are too easy and DO NOT reflect the difficulty of the exam questions

    Hi! There is an error on the question at 2:09:40 about the dog mounting other dogs. The process is accurate, but the addition is incorrect. 9+7+8 is not 21, so the answer is not 21/3= 7 (C). Rather, 9+7+8=24, so the answer should be 24/3 = 8, which is A. Other than that, very helpful! :)

    I passed the BCBA exam today, on my first attempt, and I recommend Jessica L's content. I completed the BDS modules 1 year ago but felt burnt out and never took the exam. After a long break from touching any of the material (6 months) I watched all of your videos again on 1.5* speed and did your free mock exam, the day before. I kept your ABA mindset when answering the questions (especially during crossing out all the clear wrong answers first), and I must say that you are some sort of genius :) ty so much!
    Above all, you made me realize that there is a lot of misinformation running around across varying study materials. Especially in regards stim. and response gen, and calling terms synonymous or akas when they really aren't. Your content enabled me to make those fine discriminations correctly.

    Started following this video for my test preparation. Thanks, you so much for such as a big effort. In the example of Lisa who was going on vacation for two weeks initially she was feeling stressed and overwhelmed by the amount of homework that she would have to do when she got back, and she begged teacher to skip HW, the teacher accepted, then Lisa is more likely to advocate for the teacher in the future, representing a social negative reinforcement example. I would like to open a threat with this scenario: How to represent this situation in a four-term contingency?
    EO ---- SD ---- R ---- SR-
    This is my answer, but I have doubt about it:
    EO= going for vacation.
    SD= too many HW during vacation
    R= beg teacher to skip HW
    SR-= Lisa is allowed to skip HW
    Thanks, in advanced for all your dedication and time to help others.
    Regards,
    Alexis

    Just pointing out that on question 20 of task list C you gave the incorrect answer. You stated that 9+8+7 = 21 and that is incorrect. Those numbers equal 24 and so the answer is 8 minutes not 7. Also, when you have 3 numbers that are increased in equal value that answer is always the middle number. 8 minutes.

    Hi I m confused with one question with TA-B.
    Q: Sandra is a BCBA working with Erica. Erica is given a break about every five minutes she completes her work. Which schedule of reinforcement is Sandra using?
    A: variable time
    For variable time no response required. But in question > give break about every 5 minutes she completes her work
    Erica is getting break, complete work ?
