I remember attending Ultra in Miami one year when around 7pm Sasha and Digweed were coming on to play. At the same time, Tiesto was playing in another area and Carl Cox in another. Some other big name DJs were also playing around the park at the same time.. All the areas were packed! Shortly after they started playing, a huge storm moved in..I could see people scattering from the other venues. Sasha and Digweed pulled back all their equipment and covered the necessary electronics and kept playing. Not a single fan including myself in their crowd that came to watch them moved. It was insane! Everyone from every other show sought shelter quickly while their fans stood proudly in the rain and lightning enjoying the magical performance that they gave. At one point, they were both so shocked at what was going on that they took turns walking away from the decks for over fifteen minutes to snap photos of the crowd standing strong enjoying their set in the downpour. It was unforgettable. I wonder if Sasha or John remembers that? 🤔
This is why a Sasha is a God. He listens to sounds and not the track. Anybody can mix to songs but once you truly listen you can create the perfect blend 👍🏻
